Solavellan supremacy So I just met with Lavellan again and they weren't lying when they said Solavellans were in charge of this game EVERYTHING SHE SAID was absolutely PERFECT. I chose all the options and I can't even decide what's the best one but I maybe my favorite is when she explains how terrible of a liar he is. And her explaining why she fell in love with him. And her telling Rook he made her happy. I really had a fear when I found out she'd be in this game that not bring able to pick her dialog would make me upset because she might have opinions I wouldn't have had, but no, they did it so perfectly. And then Solas' letter... so there is absolutely NO DOUBT HE STILL LOVES HER TOO. No matter how it ends, this conversation was just perfect and would have even been enough for me I can't believe there's even more scenes to come. Holy shit sisters we won so hard oh my god

You get lots and lots of dialogue (even ambient dialogue) about how much an elf being the herald upsets andrastians and you have a dialogue options to deny bring the herald basically every time it gets brought up. The whole 2nd half of the game is elf lore and one of the final reveals is that the first inquisitor was an elf, too.

really shows how far we've come when DA2 was the laughing stock of the RPG world 13 years ago and now compared to this slop it's a solid dragon age game. still not sure how to feel about inquisition. with the keep they at least tried to make the games cohere. but they also upped the ante way too much and started down several bad narrative paths

+17 points for the prison section because I thought coming upon the lighthouse area in particular was really eerie. it actually gave me chills for a second the Teamguard bothered creating a fucking replica dagger. Like, was the dagger not special? What would be the point? If you could just MAKE extra daggers why not have done that already and given evergine one? Thing is. By end perfect parry is aeo stun. And it's every attack. If you are middle of enemies. And you deflect ranged attack. Every enemy around you get stunned.
Normaly stuns last only one hit. But if you don't hit them. It's for several seconds. But they take dot damage.
And you can block/parry every attack. Dragon dive bomb? Parry. Big aeo attack. Parry. Ranged lighting attack from dragon? Parry.
I did 1k damage with burning tick. My every attack and parry applied burning. My charged attacks did 1k-2k damage per attack. My abilities applied instantly 10 stack of burning in large area
Team attacks were there just to stop enemies so I could hurt them more.

Talents and items help you make it even more ridiculous. Bypassing resistance. Every affliction you apply is burning instead. More stacks. More damage.
Only way I could out perform maxxe out burning was with max rage build. With helmet that removed rage cost on abilities. Put them all on 60sec cool down. But you got 1% damage for every 2 rage. At maxed out rage I could hit enemies harder then burning. But fun thing. You can have burning/rage build and only loose little bit of melee damage
