>>501322668Stalker is bad because its greatest strength is in PvP utility, Backstab is garbage for actually dealing meaningful damage for various reasons, and their most unique PvE roles are for crowd-control which gives Snatcher value to make the most problematic mobs go away with ease, for setting up a grinding zone, etc. Their functions are not unique to them; making mobs go away can still be done via plenty of other means, just that Stalker is the easiest one to get it done with.
Something that should tell you a lot of things is that arguably their "best" skill is whatever they stole from another job.
How to make them better? None of you ever listened to me at any time in this thread's history, so I'm not wasting my time typing out a notepad document that would just be ignored anyway, so fuck you....
...but here's a freebie, because I'm in a good mood. Make them better ambushers; buff tunnel drive, not sure about a movespeed BUFF, but movespeed PARITY would be a start, so make their max level of it 100% movespeed (110% or even more if you're feeling spicy). Give it the power to act out of Hiding with any action without breaking Hide, but only ONCE. Provide a meaningful, temporary damage buff when coming out of Hiding to simulate the advantaged situation. Make strip skills good in PvE for another free advice, like making miniboss and MVP fully vulnerable to them, and the inflicted debuff meaningful to parties that want to kill them
These don't fix the job, by themselves, but they're a good place to start when you're fixing THE dick ass thief who's also a disruptive stealth-ambush job. Keeping that identity, that soul is more important than anything else, and seeing what ragnadev did to alch tells me he has no idea how the fuck any of the jobs are supposed to play, but that's been obvious since the start because /rog/-trannies only know the speedrun meta and nothing else beyond the barest scratches of how this fucking pasta tastes that i am not surprised.
