Can a level 20 team farm comfortably in the early floors for exp/gear? Kinda want stay capped at 20 unless there isn't much of a penalty for 30 there. Slightly feeling the pressure on 8F in the first dungeon for more hp/mp from levels now.

If you want exp I'd recommend farming B8F in the first abyss. The first few floors in the 2nd abyss have tiny packs for little exp but the gear drops are pretty amazing and arguably better than gear you can get on the later floors

The main enemies (Sahaguin) aren't that tanky. 300~ hp a piece, though some are spellcasters. You should be able to do that fairly easily. Just don't get ambushed. Their gimmicks become more vicious later when other things come up, but standalone sahaguin aren't that bad.

The only thing I'll say is the basic Junk that you receive on the early floors cannot roll purple or 4 star. You need to start getting 'twisted' junk to get those options, meaning the later floors is always technically better even if diluted with another set.

It's not even a gacha thing. The auto is the same as Etrian Odyssey except it's slightly better as at least your characters focus down enemies instead of swinging at random enemies.

Granblue went from trash auto -> full auto -> customizable auto
Persona 5 X auto properly does character rotations. E.g S3 into S1
Limbus auto is okay, fine for trash, not really usable against bosses. The only issue is having to press auto every turn.

The easiest way to farm gold en masse is really to just load into a map, loot all the chests that spawn, harken back home and do it again. Especially in the port town, every chest should have 2-4 shell currencies which are like 200gp each, ignoring the random big ones like the 6k deep sea crystal you can get.

In games of this genre auto battle reserved for fights without ANY risk, where you oneshot most enemies. It's not like HSR where only 3 buttons per character and every single one of them have personal logic for auto mode.

Where the fuck can you get Sahuagin Scales reliably for the required arena quest? I've basically gone up and down the whole port city/ship dungeon twice now and got 3 out of 5 and I don't even remember seeing them coming out of chests.

Their constant quips during the battle really sells their respective personalities and they weren't retarded, they would tell you when they were low health or a bad match, could use items/spells, etc.

If it wasn't for ogling Asha's tits every other battle I would've dropped already due to how bullshit the prices are.

Do I go full VIT or full SPD on Barb? She seems fast for a Knight, but if priests use porto then I should be fine with just VIT? And then there’s the issue with using heavy armor to take hits but I lose action speed anyways while light armor needs good blessings to be on par with heavy.

Full Speed Knight is actually not that bad because it has a secret other use; even if you don't want to porto/defend, getting up first to Stun Bash something is as useful as landing a Katino. While most bosses resist stun, very very few are immune so being able to spam out Stun Bash is quite nice.
The VIT really doesn't matter--the speed kinda does.

Anon only checked attack, magic, and divine power but that still shows that each class gets a different conversion rate into stats.
Knights probably get the worst conversion for SPD so you'll want to get your action speed from blessings instead and put your points into where they're worth more.

You see how your characters get dirty? It cleans that. Economy cleans a little bit too but not everything. Stables leaves their filth(unbefitting of a mountain elf) and may even give them fleas. As far as I can tell it's just visual though. Also they won't stop complaining about it until you wash them.

I'm in the midst of farming the event while capped at level 30 funtimes, so I'm inevitably running into some fun Wizardry moments where MAERIN double misses, flee fails and Ophelia gets chunked by 2 normal attacks from generic skeletons. It's a pretty unforgiving game that punishes recklessness, fortunately dying early on is cheap and even free I think
Hobgoblins need to be slept by your mage or burned down before they can attack, fortunately they're slow
2nd floor has a pretty nasty hobgoblin pack and if they ambush you its lights out
You'll get the hang of it

Defend is actually useful in this game, it gives mobs an Opening debuff if they attack a Defending character that lets you do a lot more dmg on your next melee attack.

With hobgoblins though you just wanna kind of murder them before they get to move, they are slow

So mage MC is definitely bugged, just hit 40 and took a screenshot this time while leveling up to confirm I wasn't seeing things previously. Lacones was listed in the stat menu before hitting 40, Lacones was listed while leveling up in the inn, but lahalito is what is actually listed in my spell menu now. vit based on what I and other posters have seen does pretty much nothing and as far as str goes my debra spamming pre strike hits harder than any other melee and she only has around the mid 30s for str
for my crew personally, the order typically goes thief, mages(2), priest, enemy, MC / knight
and having a knight going before a mage would save mana and before an enemy would help cc
my goal for trash is usually that the enemy has 0 turns

they laugh at pre strike lvl 1 dmg with the sp refund, but get that up to lvl 2 and refund with the +from an inherit and it just keeps hitting harder and you can just keep doing it

Sounds like you're level 20.
When you start getting to real content you'll start running into enemies with defense and you'll start to see why 2hs are king.
2h Axe with defense pen pen and strength scaling are bonkers.
Especially when you consider 20 str vs 50+ str

Higher damage single hits deal with high defenses better than lower damage multi hits. Axes get defense penetration on top that. You do give up a shield though, which means giving up an entire slot of stat enhancements though.

I'm around 34, I keep a 1H, shield and 2H in my fighter's inventory and swap between them. And there's some nice stuff about them, like being able to smash through slimes for example, and the damage scales better with stuff like sleep, Follow-Up and Surety which means you can conserve SP in trash fights. It's more bosses where they feel underwhelming, having to give up defensive bonuses and an entire gear's worth of enhancement feels like a big tradeoff.

You can only merge each version once. Best case scenario you'll need to wait for a 3rd version of Lana where you merge a base Lana with wanderer, the other base Lana into 3rd Lana, and then the two merged Lanas into a single person. But who knows if that's even possible.

all you need to know is fortitude can't go below 0, enemies can instakill so just don't let them attack, and crucible mausoleum seems to respawn monthly while the others are one-time only (click the "i" to see what's available in that mausoleum)

no it was about skill books and their usage,
2 mages spamming feru lvl 2 with the mental buff is going to end the bronze exam in a few rounds
not saying that is what the books should be spent on but I used the jamil inherit and had an easy time there
if I had feru 3 id be laughing at anons who complained about the bronze trial
but feru 2+mental only hits about half as hard as debra with breeze sword landing crits with pre strike 1

You can do it at around 23 or so, lower if you're a good at katino rng. Delay one instantly to not let them take 2 consecutive actions, sleep first action to prevent poison breath, defend frontline to tank melee, attack next turn since they're licking lips, defend aoe cleave right after. Balafeo to reduce their attack along with makaltu to buff frontline defense really helps as would extremely strong den of earth equipment to burst one down asap. Once one is down the fight is basically a walkover

Literally doesn't affect the ending. You get more rewards afterward though. The mimic is a gimmick boss though, you just need to survive or outspeed the first turn and delay. Then guard with your front row and hit it with your best attack when it has opening. Mimics take extra opening damage.

Use defend against that mimic.

The longest dispatches should NOT take more than maybe 8 or 10 hours.
It should be possible to send your whole main team on the highest level dispatch you can do when you are about to go to bed and get them back and fully recovered (also fix that because I think the fortitude only starts recovering after you read the report? Not sure) by the time you wake up and is done with your morning prep for work, school, whatever.
20 hours is just fucking excessive

Also, the The Pleading Boss Goblin bond should be updated. From my testing, it's a NG+ bond, as the option to spare him is only if you start the fight with the "Slash at him" option.

Mudd's bond could use some clarity, as well. Is it because I told him to go no further on B1? I haven't encountered him on B3, especially because that portion of the map randomized differently from the screenshot's example location and he's seen nowhere else on the floor yet. Maybe I'm missing another trigger.

The tag problem seems like a self made problem in the game and I hope they do something not retarded to alleviate it but I'm not getting my hopes up. I just passed the lead exam. I beat the lead exam in 1 try, makes me think people struggling with it are not relying on debuffs enough. MC > armor break Theif > Accuracy debuff Priest > Accuracy debuff Mage > Attack debuff = victory. With undead bane weapons of course.

It lowers Fortitude, and at very low fort you might permanently lose the character if you have to revive them at the temple outside the dungeon. Fort regens (like 1 every 6 mins, even while they're dead) so it's basically a stamina system that only takes effect if you screw up. If someone is dead outside of combat just wait for their fort to get high again before reviving.

If you're still having trouble deciding you could compare the bonus stats you got on the characters and make sure all of your legos have a max fort of 100.

if you pick "rise again" it will revert the game before the fight itself, that also include any dead character that happened to die in that fight will revive with their fortitude restored prior to that fight.
That also means that if you've lost a character in a easy fight due to unlucky draw you could just kill yourself and restart the fight to get better ords but you can only doing it so much per day, (the flames recharge once every 2 hours I think).
Accept Death is only useful when you just started and only YOU that died, it will reset the dungeon (so any items taken trought this run will be lost) but any dead characters will remain dead and have to be resurrected

Now that my main character has Heavy Attack, Stun Bash and Precision Strike, I've made a few observations. I've pretty much stopped using Heavy Attack - even level 2 - because it doesn't deal as much damage as Precision Strike. The +20 surety is a huge increase in damage at the cost of only 1 additional MP. I also use Stun Bash pretty often too. Having two people who can use Stun Bash significantly lowers the amount of damage I take, which seems to be the name of the game.

So I guess what you want is for all of your Fighters to eventually become Thieves and Knights.

You don't 'need' to.
Thief stops getting relevent abilities at 35, Fighter also caps out around there too.
Mage, Knight and Priest all stop getting abilities at 40, though Knight can go to 35 if you want since All-Cover is not a great ability cross-class.

You need to lvl up mage to 50 to properly use it. You won't use aoe magic on your warrior.
You need to lvl up cleric to 50 to properly use it.
Knight is w/e, nobody will really use it. But mage/cleric is important, so you can swap to it when aoe farming

You get Lahalito at 40 on Mage, and 10 levels of IQ isn't going to notably give you a lot of Magic Attack.
I know this as I grinded out quite a bit with Mage, but there was no reason for me to take it above the 42 it's currently at.

Devs simply cannot account for all the different types of outcomes for future quests, because it would become a mess VERY quickly.

Reason? Neutral SSR with a very useful passive.
I have Lanavaille, and was even thinking about investing in her... but if I did so the sunk cost would make it so in the future I maybe would be forced into a mixed alignment party or a good one.
Damm, I wish there was a way to promote SR to SSR and unlock another passive.

Without the "Way of the Mage" and other cost reduction passives such as "Knowledge of the Millennial Lord", how much is the difference in effectiveness from lvl 3 and above? HP and MP, according to that picture of a lvl 100 Japanese Sr. Masked Adventurer, don't really seem to inflate that much (could be class correction though).
Also I'd need a lot of Ashas to level the skill up above lvl 3. Excluding the one I'm actively as a main party member, I only got 3.
Asking because I'm thinking about feeding one Asha to each of my mages to increase it to lvl 2 but I don't know if I should go for more.

There are only 2 (3) outcomes for second dungeon and its either everyone alive or Elmon or the guy alive with knight commander. If knight commander is the only one left alive then the one that appears in the town is the one who pushed him out of the rocks way at the final fight

Tough I don't know if it adds to Evasion in, and only in, a Surety, or reduces the attacker's Surety Rate.
Luck also affects the outcome of various actions. In other games it isn't weird for it to also affect critical resistance etc but we simply don't know.

Think about it, it wouldn't make any sense.
A non-critical attack hits because not enough evasion, but then if that same attack was a crit it would miss because of sure evasion? Sounds ridiculous.

To be honest I dont know the logic perfectly, there have been cases where I could alter any of the skills then altering one locked the others. I just thought it was the way I said it because it fitted my experience and seemed logical. If what you say is true then its probably just completely random if you can alter all at the beginning or only the first skill, maybe its another roll on the item just like the stars and blessings are.

To unify item to +15 you need to merge similar weapons/armor to it just like for the 10+ but this time those weapons/armor need to have 1 merge done too (access to +10 so to say)

You know, most of my stuff was still bronze with a few iron and steel sprinkled in.
The fight itself isn't that hard, but getting there without getting raped before, is.
And that is the trick really, just trying to avoid the fights.
The west room with poison seems to be the easiest one to reach while avoiding fights.

So, I think there's really 3 options for grinding late game for exp as I round out my final level 50s.
It's advised to have two high level mages with La spells at least for all of these.
It's also advised to keep any character you're aiming to level capped at 20 until they have enough exp to hit 50.
1) Grind Boat 1 / Boat 2.
Pros: A lot of the best junk the game can drop right now.
Con: Annoying enemies, may require extra spells.
2) Grind Mausoleum.
Pros: Enemies are quite weak, even when level scaled. You also get bones.
Cons: Your bones are finite and once you acquire them all the place becomes very unfavorable.
3) Beginning Abyss.
Pros: Because the most impactful thing to getting exp is amount of enemies, and so long as the enemies are at least 10 levels higher than you can you get the most value, running Abyss 3-5 and hunting for the 6~8 goblin packs and the 8~ cutthroats is some of the best exp in the game for a level 20 character. The Warped One packs are pretty good as well.
Cons: You'll get next to nothing for your characters outside of the level 20s, your loot is non-existent.

Some attributes during point assignment are really low value compared to others.

People say that allignment does affect the tavern and camp events. But Adam is the only evil guy in my party and refuses to talk with me. Both of them drop good gear and since the mobs are 45 (assuming MC is iron) you can go up to 40 before you have to cap the unit.
only problem is ambushes have the potential to one shot the scrubs

We just don't know and we probably never will unless the game gets datamined or some autist does like 1000 potential triggers with 0 bonus luck and 10 bonus luck
Really hinges on how much luck effects skills like cheat death and counterstrike
Even if it ends up being suboptimal, going for more of the main stat is never bad since more more damage is never bad (except knights should go 50/50 vit/speed unless you wanna gamble on cheat death then all luck)

There's an EXP bonus for being lower than the enemy, and more importantly there's an EXP Malus for being too high.
By keeping them at 20, they get the maximum EXP gain while not changing their level via resting, allowing the grind to 2 million be much, much quicker.
