I'm just gonna say it: The choice to be able to save Isolde, Connor AND Redcliff all at the same time is beyond stupid, gross and infuriating.

You're supposed to be in a rush, the demon was "put to sleep" for a little while, but when it wokes up again it's gonna kill all of Redcliff like it just tried to.

Yet you get to just walk away, spend weeks coming and going and however long the Circle of Magi quest takes and nothing bad happens when you come back? It's the awful feel good mary sue choice with no evil consequences, nothing is at stake, the choice basically makes you feel "will you be EVIL and STUPID for not taking this clearly overpowered superior choice?"

It's ridiculous.
The choice should have been either you act in the moment, at the cost of Connor or Isolde while saving Redcliff citizens.
Or you go all the way to the circle of magi and when you come back all of Redcliff is dead but Connor and Isolde are still alive and you can save them. Because the Demon just sleeping through the whole time is ridiculous, in fact, this plot hole is so pathetic i've seen people outright make comics saying that Jowan "put a time magic stop spell in redcliff" to make it make sense. It's disgusting and STUPID.

RPG players are terrified of taking tough choices.

I'm playing on a very shitty 2014 gaming laptop with one burnt fan, broken usb ports, 95°C at all times and it runs perfectly in medium.

I'm still seething that i couldn't run Starfield at all to the point it was a pain in the ass for it to load and it would freeze non stop, Hogwarts Legacy was a bit hard to play too. But this 2024 shit runs perfectly and looks good.

Considering its their first game on steam (that was not released years later) and that most of their player base is mostly on console and some of them were on their own platform earlier, also the fact that its the single player EA game with most peak players on stream ever, i would say that you are retarded and the game is doing well
I like how when the game was released people were saying it would not break 20-30K players on steam and it would need between 50-60K to be considered successful

What a fucking waste. Somehow the game looks pretty polished the graphics are good (not talking about the art style), the gameplay looks honestly better than expected, but its all wasted on this slop of characters/story. Also everyone sounds like a bunch of retarded modern day faggots.

I thought the protagonist would get some purple magic or something but no. And the dagger is cyan. The veil is blueish green. Darkspawn and the blight are red.

Anime and video games have been gendering shit for ages when Nippon games design beings or characters to not have a human concept of gender when they’re divine or alien. It was for a long time seen as a dehumanizing pronoun thus why we tend to make these genderless things into Hims or Hers based on voices/attitudes/etc.

Hell anime is willing to play with this shit by having girls but they’re voiced by dudes with androgynous voices like Ayumu Murase or have a DEEP old man voice in Joji Nakata. That old man had voice around 5+ young girls with his deep old man voice.

An origins mission for each group in this game would have really helped. Like I'm playing a Crow and apparently I slaughtered 200 Qunari to rescue Varric and pissed off my entire House because doing that wrecked a bigger operation but apparently the head of my crow house thinks I'm hot shit so I didn't have to dig my own grave. r/dragonage basically burnt itself down with locking threads and banning people. Population 1k. online members, out of a community of 300k at peak hours, with a new release, heavy review manipulation on Bioware's side from big critics, and only giving review copies to people they thought would be giving them positive reviews. Expect critic review scores to go down to the 60s as time goes on. ResetEra is, I'd call it a hug box, or a circle jerk, but it's more like a group of trans activists autofellating in a circle.

Blood mages were ever their strongest point to argue. Its always been abominations. At the end of the day, unlike mages, when a normal person has a bad dream they dont slaughter an entire village. Yes, for mages, it does suck. Even though, the threat they present is enough to justify the Templar's authority over them. Some Mages oppressed people and in fact Mages are just as likely to oppressed Mages because they’re people at the end of the day. The Evanuris did it to all the Elves who weren’t as powerful mages as them and enslaved them all, which lead to Solas rebellion.

Magisters do this shit and are more than happy to enslave all the mages who aren’t as powerful as them, which the Evanuris endorsed because that’s how they’ve always acted.

Templars become crack addicts themselves on the blood of literal Rock Gods who were made tranquil by Evanuris so they can be superpowered immortal meatbags.

So far the only exceptions were the Titans, and they’ve been so deeply traumatized by being made Tranquil they want to get revenge and destroy everything in their way, vice versa for their dreams/The Blight trying to rejoin the Titans.

Like telling Leliana to murder anyone she sees fit, letting Iron Bull's crew die to get qunari support, forcing grey wardens to fight even though most of them will die... Just to name a few. Thing is nothing really matters so there's no point in not being a good person, it's a common issue with Bioware games but it's still nice to have a choice just for roleplaying purposes.

I'm genuinely unsure if I hate V or Apocalypse more. On the one hand, Apocalypse's "Bonds" ending is such a crock of shit it makes Anarchy even more cathartic to me even though I think Anarchy is simultaneously too on the nose about foreshadowing you becoming a 2nd YHWH, and too arbitrary about not letting you kill the Goddess of Tokyo before she can run off and make trouble for you even though you killed literally all your closest friends.

On the other hand, at least Apocalypse made me feel SOMETHING even if it was just contemptuous rage. V is so up it's own ass about the Mandala System being the "real God" that I don't have strong feelings about it at all. Law not being Law and Chaos being represented by Japanese-conservative characters barely registers because of how little attachment I have to anyone.

I'm enjoying Grey Warden a lot. The protag has nothing going on for him so being a Grey Warden makes me feel special, plus you outshine the other Grey Warden companion and i've had my backstory and actions mentioned 20 times, let alone i had extra options like send the mayor to the grey wardens or have my warden talk about sensing the blight.

I saw someone mention he played as Antivan Crow and so far in the first 10 hours of the game he had next to zero mentions.

The problem with most origins is you get outshined by the companion or it's a very niche group, like, lord of fortune or necromancer seem really stupid.

I assume Grey Warden, Veil Jumper and Shadow Dragon have the most content.Veil Jumper has trash aesthetics though but is very fitting for the plot.

This is already wrong. There is no "wanting to be" in the Qun. A role is decided for you and you either do it or get "re-education." Or maybe go do slave labor with the bas. If for some reason they decided a woman would serve them best as a warrior she will become one and therefore be as a man, regardless of what she "wants." But she probably doesn't want anything than to do what she's told because that's how cult brainwashing works
