Fella's I just found out the prices Hasbro charges for officially licensed resin dice sets costs the same as what Blizz is selling the officially licensed Warcraft dice as. That and John Hight is now president of Wizards of the Coast.

my god it's unreal how badly designed outlaw is currently. the top damage spec has you spamming roll the bones, a non-damaging spell that's on gcd every 5-10 seconds because it procs supercharger which boosts your finisher by a whopping 72k physical damage. they removed SND because it felt bad to have a mandatory button that does nothing once per fight and instead now we have a mandatory button that does nothing 100 times a fight. genius design by blizzard entertainment.
and then anybody fucking wonders why nobody plays rogue.
but wait, there's more. all the actually used outlaw tree capstones rely on you using vanish as a dps cd. yep, the toe-to-toe scrappy fighter spec has to mandatorily use vanish on cd for gigantic damage boosts. FUCKING INCREDIBLE. I'm getting myself mad because I fucking love the thematic idea of outlaw but holy fucking shit everything about actually playing this makes me want to scream

Yeah, I'm glad they came up with the idea of injecting healing potions of varying quality and made from a variety of herbs directly into the blood stream. Who knew it was safe to do something like that with something usually taken orally.

holypriest is definitely the easier of the two, but i would not call any of the healers in wow "easy". they have all been overdesigned to shit. so every spec has 9 or 10 different short or no cooldown heals, 4-8 medium/long cooldown heals, a mini DPS rotation usually 4-6 buttons thick, on top of dispels 1-3 dispells and cleanses (more for shaman), usually 1-3 mobility (more for shaman) and 2-4 status utility (silence, fear, interrupt, etc), on top of also having to account for the mana efficiency of each of those spells within your rotation.

wow has suffered from becoming overdesigned to cater to career players and devs, and nowhere is this more apparent than the healers. it seems like they are finally starting to course correct with some of the DPS specs like ret, destro, devoker, and fury, but they've got a lot more work to do if they want to get the game controller ready for consoles and gamepass. i beleive devoker and the new ret are the prototypes, and hopefully they can start taking other specs in that direction

do NOT jump right into trying to heal a max level heroic/mythic/raid having never healed before. thats just asking for pain and embarrassment

also remember, a debuff/dot cleansed is MUCH more efficient than trying to heal through it. always have your cleanse on an easy to reach keybind and use it often. some encounters it is literally do or die

tanks are easier than healing until you get to mythic or raids where you have to start memorizing tank busters and tank swaps.

mostly its just walking/charging/jumping forward, using your aoe damage to grab a pack, pop your active mitigation to not get flattened, maybe a defensive if you need it, and then figuring out how many packs you can tank at once without dying (underpull and dps will get antsy, overpull and you die or stress out the healer).

i haven't played VDH seriously since like legion, only done regular/heroics this x-pac with it, but usually you start with your jump, immolate aura, and sigil of flame. pop demon spikes, then depending on how hard you're getting hit, use a defensive like metamorphosis or fiery brand to smooth out the incoming damage. vengeance demon hunters are heal tanks that need to ramp up by stacking frailty and fury, so they usually like to use their defensives fronloaded at the start of a pull.

then use fracture to generate souls, and soul cleave for single target, if there is a big aoe pull you can also use spirit bomb for additional aoe damage and mass frailty stacks

same as a healer, if you've never tanked before, i would start at level 1 and go to 80 from scratch, it will gradually introduce you to your kit and tools, and they do a good job of putting you on training wheels, giving lower level tanks and healers fewer buttons and better stat ratios, and introducing more buttons over time while flattening out your stats

keep your taunt and glaive on easy to reach buttons to pick up adds if you need to, as well as your stun, silence, and interrupt. interrupts and CC that prevents casts are very important once you get to end game content, like, a lot of encounters have interrupt or die mechanics at the highest difficulties, so it helps to get used to doing that early.

Finally got a gf (I'm 33 she's 28) after 13 years and she plays WoW too. We play like 4 hours a day when we both have free time. She started talking about getting a 2nd desk right next to hers in her apartment so I can come over and spend the night and play right next to each other. I think i might actually sub. I need to contain myself somehow, i can't keep living like a rat and i realized this when my uncle was getting stitches on his head with a protruding hematomma after i beat the fuck out of him for being a stupid asshole.
Instead of going to actual prison with the nogs i might isolate myself playing wow and just be in prison while not being in actual prison.

I don't know shit about healing, other than that healer logs and hps doesn't mean shit.
But if there's a consistent difference of hps between one healer and the others, does that mean the others are trash, or is the one better, or is it irrelevant? I found myself forced into a raid lead position and I don't know what I'm doing.
