I know I was making a point to show the reason healers are so pissy all the time. The problem atm is easier keys are like 3, maybe 4's depending on the dungeon. When you start going higher you start running into problems very fast with shitters.
Bad dps + no kicks and being braindead makes doing anything higher than maybe a 5 a massive ball ache.
Stupid thing is most people don't need the gear from those levels coz of delves. The gearing curve is fucked and mess with the flow of M+ IMO

I been writing a start-to-finish story of my rogues journey through azeroth. at first it followed what was happening onscreen with some liberties over other guys speech and mannerisms. he got conscripted for outland after the barrens, I had a lot of fun going back over antique comics and revisiting wh40k. for most of wrath I was just writing in the same prose as some garbage auschwitz retrospect that my wife was obsessing over at the time. I try to understand her but she's a jew herself, maybe it's from a place of kinship trying to understand her heritage or maybe these are her higher empathy scores but I just didn't feel moved, nor do I think I'll ever go back & finish writing his wrath story.

anyway, during the cataclysm he decided he's gonna help locally at the crossroads. I've infiltrated several gravity falls / regular show / FNAF RP & art discords for inspiration on this one, I've not had genuine friendships since I was 12 so I'm trying to ape the gross cringe campy stories these young mid-to-late teens write about their favourite characters having gay experiences, going out for drinks, realising they care about someone and plucking up the courage to take risks. this hurts more than the jew's retrospective.

The more technical things are a bit bad yes but if they took a moment to get read they'd know they're working on backend stuff. Not to mention the new secrets event is going on and is being worked on/added live each day so much like last years version they will be problems tied to what amounts to 10 days for live maintenance.

The only good thing TWW has over SL is xalatath is a better villian than the Jlor that's it.
Unironically and even then outside the major villian SL had more interesting side characters.

11.0.7 PTR drops tonight, that comes with a new (read mostly reused) zone that sets up 11.1's story. As well as serves as an epilogue for the Kirin'tors involvement this expansion.

how do I go about that other than reading a guide?
it's not my fault the game is so convoluted, even the tooltips straight up lie to you, with numbers constantly changing when you zone into pvp, just entering pvp battle makes half my spells do double damage than usual and the others do half, and without reading guides it's simply impossible to judge what i'm meant to do, there are too many variables, "do i want to cast the spell that reduces the cooldown of my other spell and has a chance to reset this other spell and generates one stack that gives me 1% stat? or do i want to cast this other spell that has 500 different effects? maybe wait 5 seconds for a cooldown to come back so my spell does more damage?"
it's simply too much with everything else going on at the same time, i don't know where i should be focusing, it's like trying to learn chess from scratch there's just too many openings and moves and each of them has ramifications and maybe you're stuck trying to understand some move that happens 1 in 100000 games and simply having a grand master sitting next to you telling you this would be a great help.

Poorly told story. Systems at launch which made actually experiencing the story a pain. Aka, you were locked to 1/4th of the launch story per toon.
Sylvanas burnout do to the direction they took her character with Legion and BFA finally reaching it's peak in SL.
Jailer was barely developed because of back room writing drama that had to focus on Sylvanas.
You were basically tied into a covenant at the beginning you might've not liked the aesthetic of, because it was BIS for your spec.
Torghast was supposed to be a fun rogue-like, became a chore.
Maw was oppressively annoying by design, actively designed to do what felt like being punished as a player.
Treatment of Legacy characters depending how much of a Arthasfag you were.

Clearly not. These on GCD racials would have to do 20x damage to be worth the press outside of "melee spec that runs into downtime". Not to mention the difference between racials that add to your kit meaningfully like stun/fear break, self dispel, vanish vs uhhh your pets have do 1% more damage and you can fall 10 more feet before dying

Shadowlands was probably the most cynical the game was on a lot of levels. The first thing a lot of people go to is how bad the story is (which it is) and that's an accomplishment that the average player doesn't even know what the story is in the first place. Beyond just being bad as people have stated it was really mean to the lore in a way both chuds and trannies could agree was awful and nobody liked it. But outside of that so many systems in SL were the worst aspects of the Legion/BfA shit being brought forward. By the time SL was releasing the "borrowed power" debate had been raging for a few years and we'd seen both good and bad implementations of it but when players addressed concerns about how retarded the covenant system was the devs just went "suck our dick we'll fix it retroactively halfway through the expansion and you can take it" which is what happened. The covenant crap was fucking god awful at launch and all the meta power systems (covenants, Torghast currency, leggos in general, conduits, soul bind crap, etc) was the worst it's ever been in terms of needless power systems stacked on each other. Torghast was a pretty objective failure, navigating the maw was fucking dog shit, and even as something as simple navigating the zones was uniquely bad because they all required you fly back to Oribos).

The patch cyle was also dogshit as well. Took six months to get Korthia which genuinely had as much content to do as this throw away .7 patch island does and then a glacial advance of nothing as we waited another 6+ months for Zerith Boreass.

from the sounds of it the island is going to be very small but very dense, they probably want everybody to have to manually explore it the old fashioned way.

i know a LOT of designers on the wow design team over the years have felt that the addition of flying in general has been a detractor from the game as a whole, trivializing exploration and travel and person to person interactions, and have tried to lock flying wherever they feel they can get away with it, either locking it with achievements or creating no fly zones

It can't be stated enough how good this feels as a melee to just be able to completely ignore so many mechanics and still pump. All the aids trash in GB comes to mind where as any other melee you have to gtfo or die to the swirly under the mob but as ret i just keep on trucking. Mobs in Siege are the same and probably the other dungeons if I think about it. Mythic Ulgrax? I can keep pumping while I run from the succ. Bloodbound? I can gtfo away from people with the tentacles clogging up melee range and still pump. Rashanan? I get webbed and have to leave melee range I still get to pump
Just trivializes the game and I absolutely love it. Couldn't imagine playing any other melee class and being entirely cucked by anti melee mechanics

MW is in a good spot right now. They're one of the best healers for pugging M+ imo since you have so much control with kick and aoe stops, and they've been buffed repeatedly.
Downsides are not getting invited because you're not a rsham, having to actually pay attention to boss timers and ramp for damage, and that spamming spinning crane kick 1000x is really boring.

Didn't kill Ansurek with that pug. I was top damage for both boss and tombs on every pull so that was probably a bad sign. The option to duo queue means you are ALWAYS at a disadvantage for queueing solo. If that wasn't bad enough, it's also easy for discord groups to abuse the matchmaking system to create full or near full premades. I reached a SUPER EASY 1k8 on my BM hunter which currently has 2k3 MMR and literally only lost 1 game out of 4.
Meanwhile my Mage has 4 games lost out of 5 and is hardstuck at 1k4.

Tried playing pvp to see if it was fun because people here go on about it all the time.

Yeah the game mode fucking sucks. Half the time I'm just chain CC'd, the other half of the time they just LoS me and I can't get casts off. And they interrupt me so I can't cast again. Also I don't have pvp gear so I die fast. I use all my CC on melee and they just still catch me. Holy fuck what a boring minigame. Thank fuck it's dead because I don't know how anyone can enjoy this. Yeah I'm seething but you all hyped it up to be super fun when it's not at all.
