not really. i think they are trying to devalue gold while avoiding rmt gold arbitrage. without the gold being sunk like a vendor the more you raise it the more it risks an outright panic. even with it at $90 some people panic bought game time thinking it would raise for days. maybe they could have pushed it to something that kept it below 150 euro and usd but more seems very risky.

then you still have to realize the shop having such a useful utility mount means it's being blatantly used to increase the gold for blizzard to sell. the mount isn't so much a cheaper bruto they decide to tease everyone's wallet it's a "our third world level employees weren't working hard enough to sell enough tokens to americans" decision. there's just that optimal place where blizzard doesn't have everyone suddenly dumping and everyone willing to buy tokens cleaning out the gold vendors and max bidding the bmah with all the shadow gold coming out. the frog was boiled just right with a bonus fuck you to people trying to come back for the anniversary with gold.

The Draenei left Argus 25k years ago if my memory isn't complete shit, so most Draenei and Eredar are about that old or older. Night Elves were granted immortality by the mini well of eternity at mount Hyjal but they lost it in the 3rd war so most Night Elvers are at least 10k years old. High/Blood Elves are much shorter lived but have been know the live for thousands of year, King Anastarian was 3k years old I think when he died in the 3rd war. Most High/Blood Elves are no where near that old though.

NTA but it's not the quest that sucks, but the waiting between waves. If all you had to do was kill mobs to reach a certain threshold, then it wouldn't be so bad. Path of Exile had the same issue with Delirium Simulacrums. (For those not in the know it's basically 30 waves of killing mobs while you receive increasingly better rewards.)
Once you can easily do the first waves, they become boring as fuck. Having them then be a weekly, semi-mandatory thing, is what makes people frustrated.

People will complain about anything. You'll see it quickly if there's a content drought that even the most minor thing gets blown out of proportions.
I personally think making content mandatory to get limited currency is why people get increasingly frustrated, as they now are "forced" to do shit they don't enjoy just to get a reward they want.
It's the same with PvP quests too. Some of us (myself included) absolutely hate PvP, but I make myself do it anyway just so I don't have to wait an additional week for my 100 tokens or whatever.
