That's even more expensive. I only have 1000 coins from the battle pass rewards. An event pack is 750, the two weapon skins are 500 each, and the Maggie skin or the Maggie bundle directly are way more expensive. I also only have enough crafting materials to get the Maggie frame if I did get the legend skin from the pack.
I wish the packs were cheaper, usually they're hugely discounted on the first few you get, like 100 coins, then 200, 300, etc. This time it's 750 each

I was playing on Linux so later guys. Notice the wording by the way. They don't say there were a lot of cheaters on Linux, the say the cheats were to most "impactful." Not going to dispute what kind of cheats are available on Linux because I genuinely don't know, but since is the only move they're publicly making then it's obvious Linux is a scapegoat. The overwhelming majority of cheaters are people using store bought strikepacks/xen/cronus and those are only effective because of aim assist. They could get rid of them by disabling aim assist or creating servers without aim assist but they refuse to. They only thing this Linux ban indicates to me is that Respawn condones the use of cheats to a degree but not others.

I know that, but that's a separate issue. I never wanted to play those games in the first place but I'm probably done with multiplayer shooters as a whole. It's obvious to me that companies want a kernel-level anti-cheat. Doing so allows them to have complete control of your computer and your data, in order to profit by selling any information they glean from it. They're all moving to become a more complete and invasive Facebook/Google to create another revenue stream.

The day they decided to kill Apex on Linux I realised there's no point of playing it anymore. Gladly, it took only 700 hours of my life so far. Since the game is barely playable already, and it's going to become completely unplayable for me soon enough I'm leaving it. Hopefully once and forever.

It's the first good decision apex has made in a while, linux cheating makes up a massive attack vector. All of the craziest Team Fortress 2 bot armies and cheats all ran on Linux.
Now if they only hired people to spectate even a few games or select players. Add killcams and a way for players to submit video reports and have some real humans actually review some of the clips. They can't review them all, but at least some in a day will help, but they are not willing to do anything.

Same, ever since I got permabanned I started making this game as miserable as possible for others.
