still can't believe GGG hasn't realized they can just make a new campaign every year, even by doing something as easy as shuffling the maps and changing some assets.
PoE1 doesn't need new leagues and mechanics.
it needs a new fucking campaign.
honestly even PoE2 isn't necessary if they just had a macrocycle that changed the campaign.
i can't even imagine the number of players like myself that sit out because they can't imagine slogging through the same campaign yet again

First character will be either Witch or Sorcerer, 2nd or 3rd character will be Mercenary.
I'll also try speccing my witch into both summoning + using some attack skill like Storm Spear, gotta take advantage of poe2 giving us more than one passive tree and being able to use several six-links as needed.

Pretty sure they stated that the areas within each act are randomised each league. Eg different zone connections/order or swaping out entire zones for a map equilvent. Think only key objectives and towns are static.

Good way to make the campaign feel fresh every league.

But yeah it seems like their database conversion for different platforms shat itself, which indicates that many other multiplat systems actually werent designed with cross-platform in mind and they have to rewrite and convert stuff before merge.
Database merger issues and data mismatch are just a result/sympthom of much deeper issues, otherwise 2 weeks would be just enough.

I cant look into the mod data as I dont have mod tools and wont be modding GD until DLC hits, but just from bug reports - it should be actually quite easy to fix. Like most difficult task of mod development was porting ingame models, now to make work again you probably just need to do .dbr syntax fix. Or whatever happened with some textures, probably something dumb like they used some original texture that got moved around and just needs a path correction.
Tldr: if mod developer comes back or gives anyone permission to use his stuff it can probably be updated pretty fast. I never did custom models but I dont think anything related to them is broken.

Yeah it potentionally could work but it requires both mod and effort + we are in a heavy patching cycle so noone but really active mods like RoT bothers right now.
At this point I play GD mostly cannibalize stuff for my personal mods/help finding and pointing out source of bugs in mods I am playing. Modding scene is actually for GD quite small and always was like that, even overhaul mods barely got testers.

can't sell anything from my 20 tabs of gear and gems and allsorts of stuff because nobody is buying
divination card drop rates are fucked so can't farm them
getting no useful currency
at the point where only mirrors will really be of use to me and to get those I have to grind for div drops cards and sales but I'm not getting any on all fronts
anytime I try to juice something to the max just so I get something interesting or useful I get too much stuff to be able to filter through or take back to hideout because portal limitations so I'm either getting nothing or too much stuff that might be useful but probably not or I lose needed portals because I get melted by overtuned bosses like eradicator
then I also have to contend with random cpu spikes because I'm on a 4g connection due to my area not having any decent broadband and apparently shadows are streamed from server instead of in build? so I die to sudden cpu spikes
now I have to wait another 3 weeks for poe2 on top of that? because of a slight issue with mtx on console?

Now, if you paid a bit of attention to your surroundings... You might find yourself getting aggresively shovend "curated" content down your throat
These are the paid and created shills, you've seen them, people that never existed 1 year ago are now "the face" of Path of Exile, getting interviews,
going to test the new alphas, getting sponsorships from they.
All of it is being coordinated for the single purpose of manipulation and change of perception. Next you will start to see on different platforms people yapping
the idea of "oh yeah, i played poe for years but.. just... the game is just too power crept, feels like we need a fresh restart" and the other yapper agreeing with them.
Now that the beta has been delayed until the end of the year (spoiler, they will delay it more) it's pretty clear
that i was right from the beginning
And this is just the tip of the iceberg, there's only a few people that have been tracking the "oddities" over the years and are piecing the big puzzle together.
Fascinating to see the amount of coordinated effort and money that they put into shillin and changing the perception of retards

no i mean if you play a mage you can only actually use magic based weapons like wands and staves
you can equip swords and guns but you cant actually make a build with them because a build needs a fine balance between red mana generator/spender and blue mana generator/spender
so if you want to play a mage that uses a pistol you essentially cant because you have lots of red mana generator/spender but no blue and the only mage skills that actually deal damage are blue generator/spender which you arent generating any of because pistols/pistol skills dont generate blue mana which means the build doesnt function.
which is frustrating
like why let me equip something that is functionally unusable
well thats how it was like 2 years ago when i last played it idk if it has changed(probably not)

also the "skill tree" is meant to copy the complexity of poe(in terms of size and amount of nodes) but its no more complex than the d4 "skill tree"
you very quickly understand there there is only really 1 right answer for your "build" that "you" came up with.

GGG are smart enough to not force them into having #ad on their stream. This started with math's banning and was doubled down on when ruetoo was banned for league start. They signal that any negativity will be banned and you will lose the one source of income you have if you're negative without having to pay any sponsorship fees. Blizzard did similar things is the past before they became retarded where you could go to the d3 event but only if you exclusively said positive things about the game.

It was a big clash between what they wanted to create with the kickstarter and what the game turned into later, which pissed a lot of people off. Then at launch there were game breaking bugs that deleted your progression or locked you out of progressing, if I remember correctly. Another portion didn't like the builder spender case for attacks. It was also cool to hate on it, and everyone is thirsty for fitting in. For a newcomer title, it was quite alright.
I think the game pioneered the idea of mingling arpgs with twin stick shooters again, which ultimately made others to follow. The same goes for turning minion skills into active attacks once you are at the unit cap with a summoned minion.

i will honest, the early is absolute shit in today standards, the endgame gives a lot of things to do but the combat is soo bad that the parts of the endgame i like the most are the ones that dont need you to play the actual game, at the end the combat is just max a skill put support everywhere else and spam it even D3 had better combat, i really think that having all characters be able to use the same skills was a huge mistake it makes really hard for devs to craft a good gameplay based on the skills.
