If you want to play Classic Vanilla WoW without any gimmicks; that means, no hardcore mode, no seasonal funservers, no exp bonuses, no warriors having victory rush, no mythic Molten Core, etc. Then, your only option right now is Era, and the situation is kinda grim there. You got Firemaw and the NA equivalent which is just a GDKP fiesta, and then you got a bunch of dead servers. So, there's a clear demand here. And here's what I think they'll do.
When they launch fresh nilla servers, the current Era servers will die. This also means, the handful of people that make a ""living"" running GDKP's every day and RMT'ing the gold will be forced to roll on fresh but here's the thing. If Blizz are smart, they'll ban GDKP on the new fresh servers, and to combat the botting, they'll add the WoW token to fresh.
Now I know what you're thinking. "B-but madseason and asmongold said wow token bad!!" Look, some people are going to overreact. But do you think Larry, who works a 9-5 and just wants to chill with the boys in Molten Core after work, but also doesn't want to farm consumes because he doesn't have that time, gives a fuck about any of that drama? Like, your average person doesn't care. Hell, even the dedicated players don't care. All the PvP autists will just look at the token as a plus because now they don't have to buy from chang to fund all the consumes they use for their wsg sessions.
The only people who lose is Chang and the indians who run RMT their GDKP profits. And Blizz don't give a fuck about that, they just want a piece of the profit. In this case, all, since your average normie isn't going to buy gold from some sketchy site and risk their account when they can just ban directly from Blizz themselves.
