I like BO6 but I actually agree with this, sprinting in general is barely faster than running so u use tac sprint to get around anyways... and you can only tac sprint forward. if they kepy CW gung ho that let you hipfire while sprinting, then omnisprint would make more sense, but right now it's just a way to add firing delay when strafing and moving backwards (sprint to fire time)
keeping tac sprint was very strange, it undermines omni-movement by keeping you moving straight forward 90% of the time.

Alternatively, just slide or dive every corner and engagement, which is what I've been doing more lol
I think theyd do well to add a keybind to cancel sprint, or allow pressing the sprint key while sprinting backwards or to the side to also cancel sprint.
it definitely feels like they added omnisprint with the expectation that people wouldn't constantly be sprinting around, but I don't think they realize how people play cod nowadays.

it's still my favorite cod of the last decade, but there are clear oddities and oversights with omnisprint and otherwise that I hope they iron out. game is so close to my perfect cod, it's like double action boogaloo was made by a AAA dev (and admittedly dialed back a little)

actually I reckon it's worth mentioning that omni sprint does serve as the player state that enables sliding and diving in all directions, which I do use a lot. so it's not that omni sprint is useless, it's just not particularly useful on its own merits, so much as it enables other tools. and you cant really have it any other way, since the dive and slide keys are also the crouch and prone keys when you're not sprinting.
desu I think they should just remove sprint to fire time from normal sprinting since it's 1. not much faster than running and 2. almost universally supplanted by tac sprint for actual mobility

It's worse than that. You can tap rightclick/aim to stop sprinting and get ready to shoot and it will still have the awkward delay that the other anon mentioned. It makes movement feel so fucking clunky and makes sliding/diving mandatory-

I think I enjoy black ops 6 well enough but I may like MW3 a bit more. I guess the issue is that I'm further along in MW3 and the game is sitting on 2 years of content. Black Ops 6 seems under-developed in the multiplayer aspect. I want to see what the battle pass looks like. yeah, hipfire shotguns are kind of out of this game. ADS is king
use the strelok laser, it effectively gives you instant ADS by tightening your spread the moment you right click. it's not clearly stated in the attachment description but it's easily the strongest laser for shotguns

Because in some games I managed to get tons of headshots without even trying but most of the time I can't even kill enemies with a single slug, sometimes even multiple projectiles will just disappear and not even cause a hitmarker.

Matchmaking doesn't think about the control difference at all but assigns kbm player with Optic Scumps etc.

If you play Sandstorm Insurgency, it has crossplay and xbox players are playing using controllers. I don't find that a problem at all because the game isn't anything crazy, players don't zoom around 100mph sliding around and doing unpredictable stunts like skateboarder or something.
Activision could EASILY arrange the fairest and most fun lobbies to everyone regardless of their input type but this won't happen because lmao psychopaths are apparently in control in that company.

Damn that campaign really shat the bed after a really strong first half
Everything after the really cool, creative mission that integrated the zombies stuff was total crap.
>Casino mission which is basically an extended cutscene and one hold the point section
>Airport mission with Sims being an annoying fuck and that shitty section onboard the plane
>Vorkuta mission with the dull as dishwater 'stealth' mechanics, got better in the actual prison assault though
>Everything involving Harrow being the tweest villain, annoying overacting from whoever played her, and imaginary mission shit nobody cares about
Really should have been all about Case, they really underexplored him as a protagonist after doing so well with Mason in the past games

Only thing I've noticed is inconsistant damage.
It's possibly due to packet loss but I've been losing a lot of 1v1 fights where we both have XM4s and I've been a better shot than them according to the killcam.

I'm using the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, the big dick 57" one. I've never been a multi-monitor person and been on 16:9 most of my life but I'm completely sold on this thing, it's fucking amazing to not have a seam in the middle and everything looks so seamless. The sheer fucking size of this and the 1000R curve makes it feel like it just wraps around the vast majority of your vision and envelops you in the game. The best thing short of a VR headset for feeling immersed into the game. The big curve also makes it easier to glance over with your eyes instead of move your head as much. Which might not make as much sense if you haven't tried it yourself, but it's really nice. A display this big would probably not feel as good without the curve.

That said, 32:9 is wide as fuck to where even games with 21:9 support tend to skimp a bit on it. Black Ops 6 seems to support it quite well, you just need to configure the UI to be more centered and thank god it lets you do that, but if you play zombies there's an annoying as shit issue where your screen suddenly gets black bars for anything beyond 16:9 for a few seconds when the gobble gum raffle is going. Aside from that though, great, almost feels like cheating at times because you get so much more situational awareness with the extra FoV and screen realestate. You need a good GPU for it though. I can do about 100-120FPS on maxed settings with a 4090 and DLSS Performance, no frame gen. 32:9 is amazing and I never wanna go back but you better have huge budget to support it.

Black Ops 6 wasn't made by 3arc this is an SHG/IW problem.
Black Ops 2: Arguably the most balanced COD ever, every single weapon, equipment and playstyle were viable and all had counterplays. Pistols aside from the Executioner were so good you can use them solo.
Black Ops 3: Most weapons are viable, a select few really dominated the meta (cough brecci cough vmp cough) but all weapon classes were still usable.
Black Ops 4: Kinda the same as Black Ops 3, only now certain Operator Mods really made a weapon in a certain weapon class stand out, like the Handbar Hades.
CW: As close to Black Ops 2 as possible, almost all weapons and playstyles are viable (xm4 and pistols only are extremely mediocre).

No, I think the real reason people hate SBMM is because they feel entitled to recapture their old memories of the golden age, where they could from time to time enter a lobby full of noobs and tired salary men and nuke their assess with ease. That gave them a distorted perception of their own skill level, and they can't handle playing against people close to their own skill levels. SBMM is objectively a good system, and the only mistake the devs made was not fully embracing it.

I DON'T FUCKING CARE ABOUT WHAT IGN PEOPLE THINK OR DO YOU MENTALLY ILL FREAK, I BASED WHAT I LIKE OFF MY OWN OBSERVATIONS AND EXPERIENCES, jesus fucking christ, and I tried mw3, the campaign ended abruptly, it was half-baked, half the missions sucked (the open ended missions in nu-mw3 were improved upon heavily and perfected in black ops 6 campaign, in mw3 they feel like community mods), top top it all off even with that awful padding the campaign was 3 hours long, the MP was simply nu-mw2 with tweaked kvars and pasted over maps from an actually good CoD that don't work in that sloppa game, if IGN happened to give it an awful score its 100% deserved, for me mw3 was worse than vanguard, get a fucking personality and stop looking to what people you dislike like or dislike and following them like a skinwalker

It's probably fine with the correct weapon setup. Lasers, grips, stocks for hipfire etc. I know you probably think it sucks having to set up what used to be the default, but that's the price to pay for such a level of customization. I already knew exactly what kind of game it was going to be based on the TTK, and I'm glad to see my expectations were not subverted in any way because this is indeed "SMG of AR 6: Sniper Heaven." At least sniper hitflinch is insane now, which is something, but that just means if you don't pick an AR or an SMG you're just kneecapping yourself. Thanks to the high TTK and matchmaking system I can't even use dogshit guns like the SWAT for challenges because I was using a somewhat usable weapon before and the matchmaking just assumes I'm going to be competing at the same level with a rubber-band launcher.

My biggest issue with the game is the attachment system.
There are 2 viable barrel attachments, a suppressor or the best recoil one.
There are 2 viable mods, recoil springs or overpressure.
You either use the bullet velocity barrel, or the damage range barrel.
Fast mag is the only viable mag.
Then all thats left is a sight if the irons are terrible, otherwise it's a sprint to fire grip.

Fanfics are better than the real story sometimes.
I wonder how much of this was in an unreleased initial draft of the game that they took out for being "too dark" because they knew literal children would be playing the game. Most of the fanfic story elements are just cliches you'd expect from a soap opera/netflix drama

LMGs were fine in Vanguard, I think even MWIII too. But so many guns do not feel as effective as they should, the starting pistol is a better weapon than some actual guns you unlock.
