The 2nd story dungeon has a bunch of doors that are suppose to be locked, but there's a bug where sometimes, they only locked themselves after you enter the room.
There's nothing inside those rooms and no way to get out without the hook of harken.

Wizardry is a relic of the past in the western world the average person has likely never heard of it, and even among video game players, it's probably better known for the memes revolving around it's difficulty than anything.

I'd put wizardry in the same category as ultima, people know about it, it has respect on the name for being the grand daddy of rpgs but nobody actually plays them anymore unless you're an oldhead.
For this game in particular, no marketing (I only learned it released from an anon mentioning it in a thread and it was something that was on my watchlist since I learned about it months ago), phone only, game breaking bugs, and convoluted systems alienate a bunch of cowboys

In general? Wizardry is influential, there's so many indie dungeon crawlers out. But actual Wizardry not many people play anymore, and the west can't make them willy nilly because Japan owns the license

No, buying some azure ore to sell early on is fine but most of the stuff is near worthless

You need backup characters to go on dispatches and for farming stuff. You shoudl be inheriting some stuff but don't just do it blindly.

I don't think my phone charges fast enough through my PC's usb so I can use scrcpy properly kek

It's 20k gems, which should be about 2 months worth. It's not a horrific amount for a gacha game.

We're not sure how worth it they are because very few people have finished all the content in the game so far.

Shouldn't Jean's Unique Skill be Earth Formation? It's the same as Flut's Water Formation, except it's Earth allies getting buffed against Water. Passive unclassed buffs seem to be mostly from Anonymous adventurers (i.e. Beast-Thi gives accuracy up).

Also, is the Locksmith's Craft description based on the Japanese? In English it says it also boosts accuracy, which I thought was weird, since every other disciplines seem to boost stats + two individual items.

first change her costume to her base one then Inherit the skill to get it to lvl 2.
for some reason it shows it goes from Unlearned to Lvl 1 if you use Lana (regular) to level Lana (alt) skill.

It probably is a visual bug but id rather take no chances.

long story short, rezzing at a church under 50% fortitude has a small chance of ashing your dude. Failing to rez the ash will result in losing them permanently. You can simply let fortitude regen over time to get a guaranteed rez. You can only lose your character if you're ridiculously negligent.

honestly i think its a waste to upgrade bronze/iron weapons beyond +5 since you dont need them to clear the beginning abyss
steel and elemental weapons scale much higher and you can easily get them

Yeah, this was an issue a while back with Lana bricking the fight. I assume making a password for your account, uninstalling, then re-installing and linking again will fix it, that fixed my fight lockup because it restarts the fight. Make sure not to tap the title screen to make a new account after re-installing, you have to import your account before that through the menu because overwriting doesn't work.

Alice is pretty good, her passive increases de/buff duration by 1 and as a legendary priest, she has access to a special once per battle anti-undead AoE spell (Legendry mages, i.e. Adam and Yekaterina have similar spells, but for some reason, non-legendary priests can't learn the AoE variant while non-legendary mages can). It's quite costly, but at high levels where you have enough mp for multiple casts, it's very good for farming.

IMO, speed seems quite useless since action speed can easily be gotten through item substats and you don't need it that high to go before enemies.
People have posted 3 builds for Alice here.
1) Generic priest, pump bonus points mostly into piety and some into vit, place her on the backlines spamming heals and the priest's attack spell.
2) Tank + healer, more points into vit than piety, priests can equip heavy armor and shields to be placed on the frontlines. This frees up a backline slot for another mage or someone just as squishy at the expense of a kind of squishy frontliner and worse heal.
3) High (or low) IQ play where you put all her points into I.Q. She can class change into a mage and starts out with fairly high I.Q.
Though that requires you to luckshit the class change scrolls since you only get to purchase with premium currency 2 class change scrolls per week and they are char + class specific, so the chance to get the scroll is pure luck.

You probably shouldn't bother with the 3rd option.

You probably just missed it. The message is there but if you play in 2x speed and tap fast enough the message can get skipped.
Otherwise, she's just the scorpion boss all over again, so she's weak to wind.
I don't think there's any special strategies against her, but remember that the active character can swap positions with anyone else in the party at the cost of a turn. Useful for when their column gets targeted but you don't have time to heal.

Her discipline passive increases attack power and paralysis tolerance which is kinda whatever.
You can feed the dupe to yourself and get 2 sp back per finishing blow or just merge her and get the discipline.
I fed my MC the dupe and i'm pretty happy with the SP return.

Shit, looks like my game is bugged. After talking to the magic chick for the 5th arena fight, it's meant to unlock a new quest in the capital according to the jp walkthrough, and I don't have that quest, so the boss is essentially impossible to kill because he auto-attacks my whole party for 50% damage every turn. I tried jumping, but it didn't fix it.

On the plus side, this looks like it's the end of the game right now anyway, so I guess I can just go farm shit instead. Guess I'll send in a ticket to complain and see if they fix it in a day or two.

No, color (rarity) just shows you the affixes ahead of time. It doesn't affect what they will be or how high they will roll.

It does, however, allow the already revealed affixes to be enhanced, so a high-rarity high-quality item with good affixes is ideal to use as a base.

This is why all my good gear is Iron, because the bases are better than what's likely to drop in Steel at the current tier.

No kidding. I had to turn around after getting caught underwater by an enemy I failed my detection check on like three times. It's very cool that clearing the floods is temporary but the visual indication lags behind so that even though a section is flooded again it still looks clear. It only cost me two Flames. You don't, but the only thing harder then the ng boss that is walling you before b7 ng is the scorpion lady and the only thing walling you for clearing the entire dungeon is unlocking the level cap to 30. Once you beat it again you unlock a dungeon that allows you to safely farm iron and steel equipment.

Got some non-story NG+ questions.

Does anyone remember if they had done their daily quests before finishing B8F and whether they got a new set of dailies after? Asking because I remember doing 6 of them on my first day, which I assumed was because I had the initial set of dailies and the next tier that unlocked due to progression. Meanwhile I left my dailies alone and now that I'm in NG+ the old ones are gone and I've got the next set. So I'm wondering whether this was a good idea, saving my dailies to convert to a new tier or if I missed out on my old ones because of the story quest wiping the list.

Another thing I'm wondering is whether or not I lost some items because of the reset. You keep anything you had equipped, but no potions or spare weapons. It could've been moved to storage, but I don't think it's there.

Merged units have their own Discipline levels. You merge for the merge passive exclusively (which seems to only work on different outfits IE if another Lana is released you can upgrade the merge passive, but the same Lana does not), do not attempt to double Discipline both costumes. Unless they changed it since last I checked.

The sets of adds are the same but the order in which they come out depends on if he starts out with bnunys or skelly mages. If you manage to clear them all he'll just keep spamming bnunys.

Bring 2 mages, don't bring thief, nuke adds ASAP. The boss itself shouldn't one shot any of your front line characters if you have them geared/leveled. Ideally you should nuke most if not all of the adds in a single rotation. Otherwise use defend and keep your allies healed up. It's a fairly simple enemy, the adds are the main issue.

My first time I barely made it and was throwing out potions by the end of it. It might be worthwhile leveling another mage to 20 if you're up for it and just running two mages.
Make sure you have undead bane weapons for your frontline fighters, try to get to the area with minimal enemy encounters. If you feel you've spent too much mp getting there just leave and try again

Double priest wasn't specifically for this fight. I just never brought a mage into this comp from level 1 since I didn't have the legendary ones and didn't swap out my thief since I didn't have a leveled mage either. I didn't have any healing consumables for the boss either because I didn't prestock and used what little I had making my way there.

Didn't reset for it, but it spawned with bunnies so I picked them off one by one. One ally got 1 shot since I didn't have enough actions to defeat all the bunnies. Used the single target spell on my priests for a good half of the dps. Alice used aoe when it summoned the red goblins. Knight mostly defending. Fighter/wanderer keeping def down up.

A new level and iron weapons absolutely saved me in this fight, apparently I did so much damage in the first round that he skipped the summons first time around around and went for 1st ram and he only summoned once which I assume it was the second summon wave.
Also the cave-in move seems to kill the adds below so you might want to focus the left and right-most adds first you can't kill them all in one shot.

Since the multiplier seems to be applied after all the other damage calcs, I don't think they are particularly worth it if you have significantly better neutral alternatives, because damage kind of drops off a cliff if you don't overshoot enemy defense by a decent margin

Thiefs open chests, have high detect, can become the best dps with sneak attacks and are super fast with great utility options, why would you not want them. Also 2 priests is retarded, go for 2 mages/1 pirest/1 tank/1 thief/flex.

Coincidentally a thief will increase the loot you get without statusing/damaging your team by a huge amount
Only idea I possibly have would be carrying over the detect/disarm trap passives from Thief MC to a different class, not sure how well his stats end up in that case but it could be feasible

Sneak Attack isn't 2 turns, hiding lasts forever, it only has a chance of breaking on hit. Only issue is getting enough crit on your gear to guarantee sneak attack crits.

Class switching 100%, the passives carry over and stack up, Wanderer also just doesn't get anything post 20 and its stats are weaker than any other class
Multiple teams, so far I'd say you really don't NEED a second leveled team, but having more party member choices can be nice, being able to get more out of dispatches is nice, having backup members in case one of your main party members is low on fortitude is nice
But all of those aren't essential to progress yet, so I'd only call them nice, though if you're already leveling the MC in a different class, might as well get some other lower level characters up at the same time

The SP refund skill is worth way more than a mere stat boost passive, slap it on your MC.
There's also keeping a second Debra for raising as her alt class (Fighter) once you luck into her class change scroll.

Probably inherit and give her skill to the MC.
2sp might not sound like a lot, but if the MC can 1 shot things with a basic 5sp heavy blow/precise strike, then it effectively reduces the sp cost to 3.
MC specifically since the well of the mind let's him stack a load of passives.

Accept death you will lose a lot of progress.
Rise again just puts you before the fight (before entering it).
Just use rise again always, no point in accepting death unless you are out of the 3 rise agains, which recover over time like fortitude.

They should drop the exp reduction shit.
It doesn't make much sense in a gacha, and it especially doesn't make sense when you can circumvent it THROUGH INCONVENIENCE.
At that point it is just an annoying feature.
Though I have been around the japanese gacha scene before, most of the current (mechanics) issues with the game won't ever be fixed or at least not so for years.
Then gonna get dripfed QoL shit that players will have been asking since launch, etc.
It is a bit tiring.

Is the boss of Waterway B6F able to be done at 34? I have pretty good gear, and I'm able to do a lot of damage before he raises the water level again, but what happens isn't even that my spellcasting kills me (I have scrolls) but his individual hits just become so insanely high that I'm barely able to survive them.
High Pressure Waterball hits front line for 300, backline for 150 which Cor can barely withstand. The big bite does 350 which one shot Cor from 100%-0%. Does he raise the water level at half hp? Can I just have people die and race to kill it?

If you are 5 levels above an enemy, the exp drops by half, and if you are 5 levels above that, it drops to 1/4.
It is sudden and it is a huge fucking drop.
For spinner woman that means level 8 and 12 I think, it goes from 120 to 60 to 30.
I was leveling up some level 7 characters after I had already passed that part with my main party and while my MC and one other character were level 12, the difference in exp gain was enough for the level 7 to catch up and almost even surpass them before I stopped.
It is stupid.

If your team is at 7, stop resting in the inn now so you can keep getting full exp, try to make do with just basic attacks and pots, start upgrading weapons and gear to +4.
Otherwise, don't spend too much time there, that little exp is kinda meaningless later on.
It helps to grind a bit there and make the next segments a bit easier, just not a whole lot.

Depends on how you use them.
First thing to note is that there's a concept of range in this game. Most melee weapons are close range so they only do full damage when on the frontlines targeting the enemy's frontline. Spears can target 2 units away so frontline spearmen get full damage against the enemy's 2nd row while backline spearmen can attack the enemy's front most row for full damage. Bows of course get full damage regardless of user and enemy position.

Aside from that, spears have the lowest ATK stat, but highest accuracy and range advantage,swords have the highest ATK stat and moderate accuracy bonus, axe have DEF penetration and bad accuracy, maces and hammers have the 2nd lowest ATK and accuracy but occasionally stuns the enemy or lowers their evasion. 1-handed weapons are generally weaker but let you carry a shield for more def, 1-handed swords also attack twice so they can still do decent damage. 1-handed axes and maces aren't generally worth it since they can only attack once. Daggers have a surety (crit rate) bonus scaling with your DEX, but their low attack generally means that their damage aren't great unless you are spamming the thief's sneak attack with them.

Sticking to swords and spears is a good choice if you don't know what you are doing.

You aren't going to waste 2~3 rounds setting up shit against a normal enemy, and against bosses, they might do something deadly and/or unexpected that throws off your setup.

I do the same.
1H dagger + shield and a 1h axe in my case though (got some really nice shield on my characters).
On my thief, besides my usual bow, I also carry secondary weapons for setup.
Shame the inventory size is so small you can't really bring many consumables when carrying backup weapons so my wizards and priests end up being mules.

Den of earth is 6 tiles/patterns of 'rooms' arranged in a 3x2 pattern.
The start and end tiles are always fixed and the same for everyone.
The other 4 tiles get shuffled though once you trip a trap or discover it in one of the tile, it remains visible, even when you reenter and shuffle the 4 tiles.

Before I rerolled for wolfguy I used Discipline and wished I just kept the extra characters instead in just about every case, just leave them in the registry until the community matures and figures out the best use for them

If my mage isn't fully healed he is basically guaranteed to die if he gets hit, and there is no revive QTE outside of combat
