If I've got all the best Uniques for my Spiritborn build, and I have decent rolls on the Legendaries, and I have 183 Paragon, and I have a non-Ancestral DPS weapon, what should I do? Should I grind Paragon and Glyphs from this point so I can comfortably clear T4 to do T4 Tormented Bosses?

I feel like my options are becoming limited for progression and I think just blasting The Pit sounds like my best course of action. Sound right?

Companion Druid is really strong this season but suffers in groups with Spiritborn. Every class does I guess, and since it's impossible to get a group without one it's best to play solo.
Anyway, I am clearing T4 easily with my companion druid.

It's annoying but i have to admit i find it hilarious that this is basically the exact same issue we had for the first like 4 seasons but with the friendly event NPCs dying in one hit because they didn't scale properly with difficulty.
It feels like after the level and difficulty revamp horses are now bugged and their 'endurance' or whatever isn't scaling properly so once you're in torment a single mob hitting your horse instantly fills the bar and dismounts you.
You would think this retarded issue would have been fixed with this recent patch but guess that's expecting too much from these devs.

If you have friends it's a little better, but this game sucks ballsack, bro. The itemization system and lack of in-game trade systems ruins it. There are so many issues I couldn't name them all.

The progression for each character is too short and the leveling process too short, but also the amount of progression in damage from Level 1 to Level 60 is nothing, and then all of a sudden you go from doing like 20k damage to 1 million+ damage

This game is shit so bad, holy duck

The game is just random. I got Resist all by doing the rerolls. The thing this game's creators don't understand is that these games are fun when you actually have a chance of getting what you want with rerolls or by getting a drop. This game is mostly about constantly farming the same activities for meager gains. They should have made it to where 300 Paragon was easier to get within reason, and made it to where getting a good Ancestral drop was easy too.

The game has so many inconsistencies and I think that's the tell of a bad game. It requires so much dedication for a super random chance of getting a really good 2+Greater Affix Item that it's not worth it.

You don't even get any chance to compete on a Leaderboard. This game is still in shitty Beta

If you guys want more rune gains, I suggest trying some Nightmare Dungeons- specifically keep an eye out any time you kill an elite. I usually get a handful of blues/yellows every run.
The NMD's in the new area are pretty good as they're just "get to point A to B" instead of having to do gay mini-objectives.

Losing the barrier from Temerity sucks though, the item makes you almost unkillable and it's not even a maxed out roll

Also there are some weird shenanigans with this skill, damage will ramp up and it's not Jaguar spirit effect, because it crits
Still early and lvl30 Glyphs but the hits go from 50k > 200k > 1.5mil > 90mil once I'm fully ramped up
I have hunch it's the elemental damage Glyph

how do barriers work? like if I have something that gives me 30% of my max health as barrier and something else that gives me 20% does that mean I get 50% of my health as a barrier? or only the biggest effect counts and the other one gets null? and if I spawn an ability that gives me 20% can I get to 100% of barrier or would I always get up to 20%?

Whatever the effect says is the max that's the limit
Barriers will stack multiplicatively with each other ie total barrier = mHP*(0.3*0.2*0.1)
Using the Barrier Generation stat increases your Barrier bonus, and that can make them increase in value, and it can go beyond 100%

Spiritborn is cool and all I guess. Would much have preferred Paladin. But Spiritborn is overpowered for much of the content, making upgrades feel minimal or inconsequential. ahhh no wonder glyph leveling sucked ass after level 90. the previous rules of guaranteed upgrades as long as you're 10 pit levels higher goes out the window. once they hit level 90, regardless of how high of a pit you run, they only have 70% chance of upgrading successfully

Not him, but the sad thing is that the game forces you to play it where you level up quickly and gain quick upgrades to your weapons in rapid succession, and then once you get 60 or a little after and you've reached the weapon DPS milestone, you must grind Paragon and Glyph levels. It's a bad game, bro. I'm playing it right now, but it needs a lot of work. It needs to be where all items have a definite value no matter what level you're at, and the leveling process needs to be longer.

Items need to be tiered instead of by item level, so that in each tier you get an item that is good to be traded if you want at any level. An item that is useful from start to finish. Also, any item should drop for any character.

They need to make the game more like D2, and if they do so, they will see success. I have a feeling they're going this path, but they're doing it like Game as a Service so that they can milk the money's worth.

No. My shadow res was like 10% before with Fists of Fate. This gives me Shadow Rez, gets away from the RNG damage spread, and things are better now than before. If I found a glove that was exactly the same but 2GA 2nd on thorns, I wouldn't spend 800 gorillion gold trying to roll Thorns -> ASPD because it's a waste of fucking time and money

The difference between 245 and 300 is massive, just in damage boost alone I would get 317.3%, not even counting other nodes like vulnerable damage, crit damage, etc. Then if I needed it I would have plenty left over to boost my damage negation. It's silly to pretend paragon level doesn't matter

Barrier generation is currently bugged and has a very stupid synergy with spiritborn

Tyrael is only good if you want to save paragon points or not slot in resistances. It's still mandatory on some classes because they have no good defensives, like necro

I think the core skills hit twice bug (it used to not work) now works. I think the state you asked about rolls between 1 and 3. You want at least 2 I think. I would go for max resource since it consumes vigor to scale the crit damage by the multiplier on the perk. But you will probably do well with any roll as long as it works on it and you aren't sitting there dusting enemies for no damage until it finally kicks in.

She's scripted to teleport away at certain HP breakpoints, so sometimes if you "skip" them she'll just do it again immediately.
She also cannot be killed before she does it at least once, she won't go below like 5% HP even if she's stunned.
It's like entirely luck based. Before I would stun her before she would teleport the first time, but then couldn't kill her, so the arena would be littered with all this shit because it gets 'harder' the lower HP she has.
Now it's easy as fuck because I don't stun her before she teleports the first time, so I can just delete her after wards.

Alright something I noticed. The only time aspects are an upgrade in the codex for me are when an ancestral legendary with two or more greater affixes drops. Has anyone else noticed this? The ancestral with only a single greater never have aspects that upgrade the codex and are equivalent to normal legendaries. Normal legendaries can roll aspects between 1 and 16. Ancestrals can roll between 1 and 21. This is all it is. There's a larger variance for an ancestral and a lower chance it will be an upgrade.

You have a sorting button that they added so it wouldn't be that cluttered to begin with, but I'll rephrase. It's good that something like a separate tab that was added but it's a half measure, people will have them filled up (as I previously linked other anon's post). If I were to design a tab for runes for instance I'd make it so that I can put all the rune types under that tab and make stacks as big as possible. Also, small items? They're the same size as a scythe or the grandfather. Let's not call them small only because they are socketables. Until their tile size remains the same as other items it's pointless to consider them small.

Yes, it was vastly inferior even to D4's system. Why avoid d3 inventory system though, my man? It improved upon its predecessor while d4 is a weird amalgamation of the two previous games having strengths of neither. You can also look at poe. Does it have problem with storing items? Sure, tabs and what not are MTX. It's a f2p game at the end of the day, but even those devs had common sense to let you have truckload of tabs to store what you want in whatever number.

Draw from the best solutions available instead of reinventing the wheel and making it square.

That's why equippables, whether 2H hammer or ring take same space while socketables, consumables and keys got their own tabs because of their role. People are hoarders and completionists, there will never be enough slots to fill with all the treasures they stumbled upon. PoE is rather a bad example, more and more stash tabs have become a necessity and a bandaid to the ever growing number of loot acquisition systems. You got nice slots for every item type to fill, but is a game going that way is a good design?

Also having bigger, more easily clickable/navigable slots is a UI functionality benefit.

The change to currency/materials not taking up space was overall a good change. They are utilities for the players. That's why they did the same for aspects.

You are simultaneously arguing that some of D4's items should take up more than 1 space and that it doesn't have enough space.

BTW, D4 does have the equivalent in terms of storage as D3. D4 has 50 slots per stash x 6 plus the additional character stash space for runes, consumables and keys plus changing gem drops to fragments so that they are pushed into the resource inventory.
D3 meanwhile, has 10 tabs of 70 slots when most items take up 2, meaning most of the tabs are dedicated to set items with space for 35-40 items depending on how many pieces of jewellry you store there.

You need them in your inventory to craft with at the vendor. Don't try to explain away this crap. They need to focus on optimizing stash space to allow us to collect everything we need. Or they should make the stash communicate with crafting vendors. Even POE does this.

they just need to copy torchlight infinite system
the sigils don't need to have a set location, just a region. the artwork is already done. they also don't need to have any affixes at all since if you add a good mapping system you can add them when you open the map for a cost. they've already removed the tiers like they originally had.
once you do all of those things, the keys can stack in the inventory. it's just a matter of deciding the interface for how people should spend the key to create the dungeon and whether you can select the dungeon or whether it would be random and how adding difficulty and reward to the dungeon would work and for what cost

Other than that, not much you can try to do really.

It's so crazy, my SB with no masterworks and just bare minimum uniques thrown on was instantly melting T4 way easier than my fully masterworked mighty throw barb with 4 mythics, all leveled glyphs, all GA gear with decent rolls etc.

Now after actually gearing the SB up a bit more with all the necessary 240+ vigor, 47%+ ring, 122% barrier gen etc, you just one tap everything even bosses while having infinite resource.
I mean it's fun and all but damn wish there was at least some parity this season, how can i even justify bringing anything else to T4 citadel when SB is like this? Oh well, hopefully next season will be better with some nerfs/buffs.

It's for the druid barrier. I'm kind of too lazy to actually learn and understand the mechanics of SB but from what i saw/read you need 122% barrier gen to make the rune proc a full barrier. The rune by default doesn't give a full health bar of barrier just a portion, but with 122% gen it will give a full health barrier every hit.

Man I have really shit luck with ancestral drops. Paragon 214 and had to switch back to non ancestral Rod and Midnight Sun because the rolls were just that much better. Think I've seen one 3GA and maybe three 2GA ancestral legendaries and of course they were all shit.

I'm just waiting for D2R to go on sale again and I'll be done with this game. Loot is too compartmentalized in this game. Target this boss for this unique. Do 20 Undercity runs so you can summon 25 Andys in a row. Go farm mats in NMD. Go get money in Hordes. I miss just running dungeons and having a random Fallen drop a great item. Now it's just blitzing through this content for this element of the game or that content for something else. It's boring.

I'd say it's fun to play all the way to max lv 60 with 200 Paragon. After that it becomes a grind for anything to upgrade BUT you should be pretty much done with your build and being able to complete most content at Torment 4. Try it out. If you hate it once you get there it's fine. If you like that grind shit then may God have mercy on your soul

Why are we still getting item level 750 shit in T4 difficulty? Shouldn't the hardest difficulty content be the most rewarding? Even season 5 was better. When you pick something up you know its garbage unless its ancestral. At least before we could use ancestral gear that didn't have greater affixes but proper stat distribution. Now, we don't have a choice.

That's tough man. Yesterday I went for 35 Duriels, 40 Andariels, 55 Varshans and 10 Zirs. I came out with 5 mythic uniques (tyrones, the new glaive, melted heart and SoFD), couple of GA uniques (worthless really) but a fuckton of runes. Another time I got only one mythic with similar number of bosses. RNGesus ttruly works in mysterious ways

How big are the drop rate difference between Torment 3 and Torment 4?

I want to target farm a boss, but killing one in T4 takes a considerable amount of difficulty, but doing it in T3 takes 3 seconds.
Should I farm him in T3 instead, or is the gap between the drop rates (looking for a unique GA2 at least) really that big it's worth the high trouble for Torment 4?

You get an extra item drop on T4 compared to T3. No higher drop rate, just an extra item that might roll to be an ancestral or unique. Use the red seasonal buff for an additional item when doing bosses as well. It can make the difference between a rune or mythic drop.

They might just do that. Nobody cared about the story which probably cost more than designing the new class. They might just make DLC classes with no expansions attached like D3's necro.
The infernal hordes don't say the new class name for spiritborn, just call them the daughter's traitor. Which is how we can guess there will be multiple classes, since infernal hordes was released just before the expansion and they didn't bother to record specific class responses.

VoH apparently sold a lot, no way they are dropping the model entirely. The story was lambasted almost universally though on pretty much every aspect, so they're probably going to sit down and course correct on that point. My completely speculative guess is that they're not going to do full expansions yearly, rather we'll get class DLCs interleaved with full expansions (which will come with new areas like Nahantu and campaign expansions), and story-wise we'll focus more on the Prime Evils and Neyrelle will be relegated to a Deckard Cain support role.

current late game is progressing your character to push through difficulty levels until you get to Torment 4 and pushing levels in the Pit
there are also probably new endgame activities you haven't seen like Infernal Hordes
without the expansion, you miss out on the 2-4 player raid dungeon and another endgame activity called Undercity that helps with target farming
the only loot you miss out on are runes I think

You do not have access to the citadel which is hardly endgame content. It's basically co-op with your casual friends who don't even pay attention to their stats. Besides that, you still get to do the seasonal theme which is realmwalker then proceed to do endless pits and hordes.

This dogshit game has me at my limits sometimes. None of this makes sense, I was under the assumption that any scaling applied to my minions is applied to mendelins. This implied like specific increases like "skeletal mage damage" and "skeletal warrior damage" increases applied. So now I'm learning they don't and only generic "minion damage" does.

These fucking interns need to learn to write text to fucking explain what does and doesn't apply to item/damage scaling.

The recurring theme of d4 writing, and world building is milquetoast bland, sadly. There was a spark of hope with the side villain in the campaign, but he was brushed away quickly. We can't have clear cut characters anymore apparently..

They need to fix tormented boss loot. I should not be running 400+ tormented boss summons with ZERO BAC RUNE DROPS. I also don't need 6 fucking unique drops every boss. Give me some fucking Ancestrals. Also GET RID OF FIXED DROP TABLES. Some bosses are literally just stepping stones to get to other bosses and it feels like a total waste of time. All bosses should have the same loot table, with Andy and Duriel simply having a higher chance to drop GA versions and higher mythic rates. You need to do all the fucking bosses anyway. Don't make some of them worthless by having a shit fixed loot table for them. I spend HOURS collecting boss summon items, another hour killing them all, and more often than not I walk away with nothing. It's ridiculous.

I think they should revert it though because locking codex upgrades behind GA adds nothing but frustration to the game. I have 73 hours of playtime this season and only maxed out 10/101 aspects. They want to create an endless chase but don't realize people will give up before they find what they need. Its similar to how mythics used to be so rare they might as well not even exist.

Ancestrals should only be able to roll in their higher bracket. So atleast when you get an aspect dropped on an ancestral for the first time its always an upgrade instead of min rolling an aspect you already got from salvaging at level 10.

I can see the picture, but the execution is really poor. If Neyrelle snapped, called him a coward or taunted him due to Mephisto's influence, it could be sold better. As it is, Eru's betrayal comes off as an excuse to have a sequel bait.
