Gerulf is fire type, which means he takes more damage in the water dungeon. Also, his 9 cost SP ability is junk there, because it's fire damage and every enemy is strong against fire.

It's not so bad as to make him unusable there, though. The 5 SP ability does the same damage as the nerfed 9 SP one, so he lasts longer in combat at least.

Nah, they all go to the same place. I believe all you're really choosing is your ending reward for the quest, but I haven't beaten the second dungeon yet. Apparently the second dungeon is the end of the game so far.

I believe your only real choice is to uninstall and migrate your account. Save your password beforehand, then after re-installing make sure not to tap the screen before you go into settings and restore your account, because that makes a new one and it can bug out and not overwrite it.

It's its gimmick and will probably occur more often later on.
The start and end are fixed, but the other 4 blocks are shuffled every time. You can tell it's not completely random since traps you've sprung in the shuffled areas remain visible.

You might be able to farm during the tutorial before you arrive at the town, I forget if mobs respawn during that section, don't think you'd level while doing it but once you hit the town and rest all the xp should flood in

I think it's theoretically possible but not feasible. If he whaled and inherited all the relevant skills to the max level, and he could use XP books to level to 20
A MC only no cash shop run would be impossible though

For nameless fodder, you're actually better off just discarding them right away unless you're taking them to the level 30 exam. This is because 2 tags can be exchanged for the next tier up, and it costs 1 tag to rank up an adventurer, so it's cheaper to just discard then use the 2 tags to trade for the next tier up.

Yes, but you have to pay 1 trash tag to grade up. So if you just destroyed them at level 1 for another trash tag, you could use those 2 trash tags to convert into 1 lead tag. Named adventurers give 2 tags, 1 trash and one lead, so they're worth getting to level 20.

Actually wait, even named adventurers aren't worth it. Because if you had 1 tag, discarding a level 1 named gives you 2 trash tags, 3 tags = 1 trash 1 lead.

While if you use that tag to level them up, they give you in return 1 trash tag and 1 lead. So it's the same, only you don't have to farm. Only SSRs are worth grinding to 20.

Now, for grinding to level 30, I think it's worth it, but the XP required for 30 is pretty high.

after a certain level you get exp penalty on that character so you are supposed to keep them at lvl 1 while you boost them.

But Red Spinner Woman is only good at the very beginning when you are about to fight Scorpion Lady, you get much more exp just getting to the later floors.

I mean, the Legendary Bones might be better. But I need 1 single Exchange point to afford 10 Mid Grade Iron Ores. That would have been so sweet to just get 10 extra.
Damn it. Spending 200 gems for another event bone for that final event bone just doesn't seem worth it. But I was looking forward to those Mid Grade Ores. Guess I'll just grab another stack of Low Grade Ores and then just spend the last Exchange Points on gold. But shit...

So here's something.
My Lana was at lvl 1 Passive
I merged Lana Alt with her to get her Skin
Then i fed her another Lana Alt for her skill
Now she is at Lvl 2 Passive

Now i have Lana (with Alt skin) lvl 2 Passive
I am about to feed her another regular Lana
The game says she will go from Unlearned -> Lvl 1
I found that weird and got scared, decided to check if changing back to Lana vanilla skin did something
Now it properly shows her passive going from Lvl 2 -> Lvl 3

So i don't know if its a visual bug and i would have gotten her skill to level 3 anywas or i would have ended up with 2 Lana skills passives. But just wanted to share my discovery incase other people go through it.

It only cancels if you leap to a point where your expedition becomes unavailable. Eg. If you are doing F5 dispatch, you can hop to F6 checkpoint without issues.

I've run into a bug where the bonus from the guys bondmate buff isn't calculated correctly
Like I have him at level 3 from doing the quest a bunch of times, but my boost is still like level 2 and the weirdest thing is that my max HP displays 4 higher than it can actually reach, so after staying at an inn or receiving a Lana heal near full HP my MC has 300/304 HP.

They are ultra rare, i got one from chest when i was farming red spinner exp and never seen bones again.
Im now 29lvl preparing myself for next challenge.

The boner man is rng too, no idea what is the cooldown on him but he sometimes sells 1k gold normal bones and not just elixir like always.

Legendries don't seem to be that much better than named adventurers statwise, they do come with useful passives though.
A lot of a character's power comes from their gear which can be infinitely farmed for.

You can just as well just explore floors 1-5 fully and be ready for the scorpion woman, and floors 7/8 have far more efficient exp farming than the red woman

Red spinner doesn't go away, you can go back and repeatedly beat her ass until you're bored.
Enemy chest drop rates are honestly pretty ass so red spinner doesn't give much in terms of loot. If you need gold/equips, it's better to beeline to the 2~4 chest that's guaranteed on a floor every time you enter.
Scorpion isn't hard, just defend the column that's being targeted and she'll go down eventually.

I never farmed her at all, and then just went straight to B6. And then B6/B7 has waves you can clear at about the same speed as a lvl 7 shitter team farming red woman but giving like 5x the exp and without having to click through the dialogue
And then if you farmed red woman for exp; you still need to farm B6 B7 anyways

You can do fine with any or none SSRs, Lana is very handy to have at the start because of her passive healing, but it'll quickly become a near nonfactor once your HP values start increasing and your priest has more MP
Adam gets early access to a once per battle AoE nuke, but eventually every mage can do that etc.
You'll also be able to freely pick any character from the bonepicker, I'd recommend anyone you haven't gotten a good named adventurer from

Parts of my map have been disappearing too. If I went around revisiting areas that disappeared, some of those areas start disappearing again, all without leaving the dungeon so I just gave up and accepted that this is how things are.

The one I currently use.
It has Lana, Adam, Alice, Yeka, Debra, and Adam and Alice dupes. (So all I lack is Gerulf) They're all at 100 fort excluding Debra at 80 (I hate this so fucking much), and they all came with more than 5 stat points. (Adam and Yeka both came with 9). Eh, at first I was like "I have math on my side", after 40 I was like "fuck this". You can do 26-41 rolls on a fresh account currently, and you have a 5% chance for a SSR per pull. Every 10-pull is basically a coinflip so you only need to win 4 of them and get extra 2 along the way, and after all that you also have 2 guarantees.

You could try the generate password from home screen > reinstall > login in again with ID/password.

The boss of BF5 is weak to wind, and there should be a wind sword on that floor.

Adding to this, using 2 mages is also a good idea in the upcoming rank up exam, since the boss is undead and there are lots of adds that need to be killed in the fight.
Also, make sure to farm and enhance a few decent undead-bane weapons before you beat BF8.

Here are some tips to speed up your rerolling.
In the walking tutorial when the demon swoops down just run into him, you don't have to finish the course.
When you wake up take a step back, you'll automatically turn while opening the door. Any event-like interaction where there is a forced animation or a talk will turn your camera, this will save you quite a bit of time. Seeing dark lulu, opening doors, stumbling into bones
Since the room layout will always be identical you can memorize exactly how to move without doing extra actions.
If you time it right you get to avoid all but 1 goblin fight. (in theory you can avoid them all if the last one is patrolling, but I don't want to test this)
Once you assembled your party and bought some shit, you can get to the edge of the town, get a cutscene, and imediatelly head back to town, since that'll unlock the rest of the premium store for buying pulls and stuff. (I used to clear the first floor to the teleport shrine around twelve times before I realized this)

I failed to save Albano and didn't even get the quest for the strengthening herb at the end and still saved the king.
Skirmisher lets you save the bait which rewards you a bondmate.

Legendries have useful passives but aren't that much stronger than other characters statwise.
The game is more about using your head and making sensible comps than ROFL stomping with a few lucky SSRs rolls.
That said, if you can stomach the reroll, it's not a bad idea to reroll for a few legendary characters, their passives are helpful and 5% rate makes getting multi rolls doable.

Yeah, for the actual rate up you will have to pull 40 times to have even a 55% chance of getting the rate up character.
And even 100 pulls only have an 86% chance of pulling the rate up. Considering pity doesn't transfer, you REALLY shouldn't pull before you have 100 pulls saved to guarantee you won't be wasting your pulls.
Probably one of the worst gacha systems I have seen in a while.

Once you get to the port city, steel equips start dropping, so I wouldn't +10 any iron or bronze item.
+5 is fine since it costs only 1 low grade iron which is pretty plentiful.
Colored equips also become more plentiful then, they have their substats displayed and do improve with the relevant enchantment levels, so they help avoid the +10 atk + +10% atk on a staff issue.

Mausoleum has 6 stages,1 from each class and 1 with just rares, you can get 1 bone from each stage per day or 3 if you paypig. It costs fortitude to enter but from level30 onwards enemies are a non-issue so you shouldn't let the fortitude tax scare you. Except when you see the centaur, you should always run from him since he is extremely bulky and spams oneshots.

I have gotten 4 bones today.
One in a chest on floor 7, one from the bone seller on floor 4, one from a dropped chest in the thief mausoleum, and one behind a door in the thief mausoleum.
The three regular bones wound up being pic related (all dupes), and the thief bone was Amelia, who I did not have. Overall I'm happy, but I don't know what to do with the dupe Alice.

Honestly I hesitate to put any SSR as super outstanding. I hear good things about Adam, Yekat, I have Lana, Alice, Debra, I had Geralt before I rerolled.

I think Alice and the mages stand out because they have 25-30MP giant AoEs. Rest are more replaceable. Mages also scale better later so they're probably more ", important" in the grand scheme, while everyone else becomes more replaceable.

Honestly he seems the least "unique" of the bunch and I can see myself using a named over him. The accuracy is nice against the 2h weapon malus for non spears, but he's restricted to 2h blunts to make the most use of his skill. Skill inherit is also an attack skill, so much less useful as a fodder as well. He's probably one of the better choices to discipline up since it increases Surety unlike characters. I might just use 2h axe on him if I decide to raise him. The accuracy won't be wasted at least (heard it's with all 2h weapons and not just swords?).

Well at least legendary characters aren't much different than the rest. Mages probably make more of a difference with their extra map wide aoe skill. Seems better to save spark for the whale bait equips since those are unobtainable otherwise. Yeah you can't max upgrade it, but something like Lana's 3x sword could go on a thief who has skills that ignore defense. That would still make a it 1.5x multiplier vs other swords.

I'm only talking about the extra hit from the sword in Lana's banner and nothing about maxing it out. I think it can perform comparably on a class that can get around defense. Extra hits could be a countermeasure against future mechanics as wells. This is assuming they won't add a farmable 3 hit sword though.

I mean, it'll make him slightly faster, but dwarfs aren't skewed towards speed growths, so he still won't get super fast. If you're running him as a tanky frontline, the armor you wear will further lower your speed anyways if you're not running leather/cloth. It's still a viable choice though but overall depends on your use of him. The extra evasion is still nice if he's on the front.

Reminder you can swap weapons in battle without losing your turn. It'll take some time and money but it's worth leveling a backup weapon. I'm in NG+ bf8 and good bane weapons edge out iron weapons still

Poison path is a fortitude drain, and fortitude is the most valuable resource in the game.

Not being able to cast magic barely matters, because almost all of the water areas are wide open rooms where enemies can easily be avoided, and the few corridors that are water based usually have an easy to reach statue.

It works fine. You can even run into enemies on purpose and then just flee to ensure they'll show up on your map.
