But am I supposed to bring undead weapons or my best weapons? If I can run the gauntle from Harken to Helmut without combat, iron is better no? Or should I just carry my best weapon and expect 1-2 fights

You can kill everything up to helmut, go back down and use the fountain and swap gear then come back. Stuff only respawns when you leave the dungeon entirely.

got this a couple of days ago and has been my main account since
Deb +8 points, but the other legendary characters are all +5, how big of a difference do the bonus points make? wondering if I should use my selectors to try and get dupes with more bonus points or go for the other 2 legends
either way I'm having fun but dunno if I'll struggle later on

Assuming you have no tags, yes. I think it's better to use SRs right now, because they give you both a regular tag and a lead tag if you get them to 20.

Bear in mind you have to run them through the rank up quest too. But that's not very difficult at level 30, just make sure they survive the fight.

The bonuses will matter the most in the early game when a few points difference is like 20% of your base total. One you get levels and gear, it'll average out. Though I suppose Speed might make more of a difference long term since a difference of 1 point could determine whether you go before a specific enemy.

Keep in mind that gear with low base values like gloves/boots/helms don't get anything going to +4 as their stat increases alternate so save gold by leaving those at +3

Use dispach missions that specify gold as well, they bring a LOT of sellable junk.
Now you are in the area where magic is king until you get the undead bane weapons, consider buying the scrolls of fireball in the shop as well, they are essentially mana free spells for your mage/divine members.

Gear bonuses are way higher than stat bonuses. 1 point of dex or whatever probably gives you +1 speed, I've got equips that give +6. And these are mediocre, early equips. Later stuff, with good rolls? You're going to be getting +10 and up, and that's across 7 pieces of gear. Gear is what matters, levels only slightly matter for the sake of HP pools.

Adventurers can also randomly roll 1? less base point. So a 9 bonus can have as much trait points as a 10 bonus if the 10 bonus got that deficit. I think it's confined to 2 specific traits per character though? Not sure if a +1 is possible

Avoid every fight except the boss fight - I'd just go back to the inn if you aren't full on everything
Stack up on potions and fire scrolls
When fighting the boss, flee if his first wave of enemies isn't the rabbits
Make sure your mage has a good staff so that the AoE spells do more damage
Focus on killing his new summons first
Debuff him to shit

Go to login screen issue your username and password then save it (account transfer if you're also affected by the can't bind to google or w.e)
After do a complete reinstall of the game.
Reason i say to save your transfer info is cause it's known to reset the account info and losing your entire run would be super cringe.

Supposedly teaching the passive heal to yourself heals 6hp every battle. So 50% effectiveness at level 1.
But Lana having it at level 2 makes it go from 12hp to 22hp. And an anon claimed level 3 is 32 HP. So I can only assume that level 4 is 42 but that last one is just a guess of mine.
Also mine got different stats/parameter boosts when I merged mine. So I wonder how it's calculated.

You get ungraded tags if you dismiss them at level 1 or even unregistered
If you got them through the first exam and used the grade up thing on them you get a higher grade
But considering you can exchange tags 2:1 I'd only consider training them up to 20 and carrying them through the exam once I find a farm spot where I can get shitters to 20 in a few fights

Yeah. I am honestly pretty surprised myself.
It's a free to play gacha and yet I've had full-game non-gacha tier fun.
And the presentation is also pretty top class. And the gameplay really doesn't feel compromised.

I have 1 regular Lana and 2 Wandering Lanas. Having the regular Lana Inherit Skill from the 2 WL's says that "Queen of War and Love" will go from Unlearned to Level 1/2, depending on # of WL burned.

Does this mean that the regular Lana would have her base level 1 "Queen of War and Love," as well as a separate passive skill called "Queen of War and Love," ? Does anybody know, if the prior is true, if that means each QoWaL procs at the end of battle, healing separately, or if only one activates, making the inherit skills actually a trap?

As you level up more it becomes such a joke.
If you're trying to use it as a level up dungeon I wouldn't recommend it and the drops are too sparse if you're trying to grab soil/earthen crest gear.

You still need it grind it anyway. Lots of enemies in the second abyss are weak to earth and deal water damage, so getting earth weapons/water resistant gear is important.

You probably should unify any good bronze gear first.
Unify raises the enhancement cap for equips which gives more substats at +5/10/15/20.
Colored equips have a certain number of substats shown and reaching the above levels do improve them.
At this early, I would look for action speed equips for mages, having 3x mages going first and spamming their row wide spells is a safe and fast farming comp.

Doesn't the anti ambush rarely proc? I'm playing both right now somewhat (at least dailies are fast before I choose which to progress on). I'm also considering a third account now - one that maximizes the number of Lana dupes I have. Alice doesn't seem too bad in that regard either since I've read that her level 3 increases buff/debuff duration by 2 turns. But I'll have to drop one or two eventually. The account with gems can still get screwed by pulls but I feel most invested into that one.

Filter your item list to only list white, 1star items.
Find all the rare or special items you for one reason or another wish to keep in spite of being white 1star items. And lock them.

Even at level 1 it has worked for me practically every single time. Maybe I am just super lucky. But I am talking like, 8 times out of 10 successful.

That said. Even if I have just been lucky, which I am guessing that I might have been.
A prevented ambush can without exaggeration be the difference between life and death. So even at a low chance it's a life saver.

I bought one of the sword and two of the staffs.
No regrets, it does a shitton of damage, like 10~15 more PER HIT than the previous sword I was using.
The staffs were to nuke shit in B7F and B8F with my priest and mage to level up, already paid for itself in drops.

Bronze gear are also the cheapest to enhance and upgrade materials aren't that rare.
IMO, backliners are pretty safe as they (generally) can't be targeted by enemy melee units, only enemy archers, mages, and other sorts of squishy units.
If your backliners are strong and fast enough, they can generally wipe these enemies before they can act.
I'm running action speed on all my mages while ignoring their defense for this reason.

Maybe just take him with you for tomorrows daily and use any exp books you get on him, since you're that early you should be able to catch him up quite easily once you have access to that stuff
Some people might suggest to farm the spinner for an eternity, but that's unnecessary and slow, you can just progress with your usual team and get farther in the game where you'll get better spots
Also Lana's passive is 10% so it's not terrible, but also no dealbreaker, some people use Spear Gerulf in the backline to get around it though

If you tap the fog it tells you which light you need to unlock it, works from anywhere on the map. If you tap the fog and it doesn't display anything it's because you have the necessary light. They could have implemented this better, it took me a while to figure that out.

It is not, I have played granblue for years, the banners you are meant to roll there are 6%.
The average player is gonna need nearly 200 rolls to get those 9 legendaries through normal rolls.
Though I am guessing you are counting the 3 guaranteed legendaries with those.

To anyone who's been getting their top-left objectives stuck because of the Cursed Wheel: turns out you have to used the Wheel to go back to wherever and whenever that objective was and complete it. Unfortunately, the game won't have automatically kept track of whatever you were doing before getting this bug, so if for example you cleared Helmut on NG+ while the objective was stuck on "Clear Vile Trap", you'll have to beat Helmut and do everything else all over again to get those rewards properly.

I kinda overdid exam myself after reading so much crying about it.
Got to ng+ farmed ores to level up gear.
Full party 20lvl and 2x mages, full inventory to all characters with healing potions and fireball scrolls, sneaking past all mobs when possible.

After getting to boss i simply nuked whenever possible and used aoe on my 2 mages when he summoned something, otherwise i kept debuffs on and used fireball scrolls.

After winning the fight i kinda overthink the whole "omg hard gacha game trash" when you just simply need rpg gamer brain and not phone drooling retard mind.

This! game doesnt really tell about this mechanic, when you defend and enemy hits you.
They get "revealed weakpoint" debuff and next hit you do is giga dmg. Just like when enemy or you got slept and someone hits you the dmg is increased.
Thats why having tank with taunt and delay attack is good combo to fish those big dmg numbers.

If your main is the default, then you need to pull an alt with 9-10 points to merge since you can't merge with your default form. You have to either relevel a new 9-10 that you've pulled and any exp or skill investment on your previous one cannot be transfered.

So it depends on whether you care about potential bonus points more or discipline levels.

The boss itself isn't much trouble imo.
The thing i would recommend is start the grade run and flesh out your map and once you find the poison swamps where the boss would spawn you just restart the run sleep at an inn and then make a bee line straight for the swamps running from every fight until you find the boss and just kill it.

Why did every monster stop moving in my dungeon?
Even when they agro (red arrow) they are still stuck in place.
I was gonna clear out B8F entirely using the two camps before taking the boss, but if they are all like this I will just kill everything that is on the direct path.

I was fighting Helmut and swapped to the pickaxe, and then tried switching back to my main weapon and the game crashed.
Worst part is I saw an anon talking about this before (apparently only happens with the air sword) and completely forgot about it until now, and I didn't know THIS was the fight I was gonna use the fucking pickaxe either.
And it resets the fight to the beginning after the crash too so can't just continue.
FUCK
How do I go back to before the fight? Let MC die and use the green flame? I will need to switch stuff around.

Oh I didn't get a chance to try that, didn't read it before I attempted again.
Ended up not needing to die to swap the pickaxe, I just ignored it and used MC's restoration as the other anon suggested, made sure he wasn't paralyzed this time.
I thought it was gonna be a harder fight, but it was pretty easy at my current level and gear.

I have Debra, Adam, and Alice in the backline and they have lots of detect, but enemies are still usually invisible in the mausoleums, and constantly getting ambushed is really annoying.

Mages are good, they don't suffer from the undead 1/2 physical damage passive and get access to row wide spells.
Give them enough action speed and magic and they can wipe out a whole row in the very 1st turn.
At B7F on the top right just before the stairs, there's a room that has a ton of enemies, you can use that place to grind.

Fighters and Knights can use spears to negate the backline melee damage penalty.
Thieves can use the hide skill on the first turn to reduce or eliminate aggro.
Personally, I think backline warriors are a waste since mages spamming their row wide spells are stronger as long as they have mana.

I'm too much of a pussy to use one. theoretically enough +DEF light armor gear and a good shield could give you similar defense as a fighter using a 2hander but since bows are good and thieves are the best users of them I don't really see the point.

What I have messed around with is frontline mace and shield priests which do work fine as long as you make sure their defense is up to par

I just ran ng+ lvl1 floor to any point i could, the "trash" inventory limit is 100.
Did few runs to level my alt. party for rainy day and dispatches.
There is 2x event going on "more vendor trash from chests and more profit when selling em"

That´s how i got plenty of money to upgrade gear and still sitting on +50k gold pile.
Just get giga rogue in your farming party who has good find stats for those chests. You get so much gems and such that your leveling and collecting gold route 100inventory limit gets filled fast.

Just did some testing and even with iron weapon matching the fighters and enough crit to crit every precise strike the damage is still worse than heavy strike. Maybe in the future or if hiding did anything except drop aggro.

Alright, after another fresh install it worked this time.

For anyone else doing a re-install, make sure you don't tap the title screen, because that generates you a new account, and that means you can't link a new one. Thankfully the password still worked, probably because it didn't go through the first time.

Mages are permanently on the backline so they get 2-handed staves.
For priests, it depends on whether they are on the frontlines or back, frontliners get 1-handed staves + shields while backliners get 2-handed staves.

Yeka and Alice (old wood two hand staff), Debra (old wood bow). Beastskin or Ornate Leather.

Take a bunch of healing pots and 1 antitoxin for each party member. I would also advise taking the pickaxe. Try your hardest to conserve mana and protect your backline instead of your front. The biggest issue was getting there without fighting a bunch. I ran into a 9 hob group but still had 88 and 70ish mana to spare on my mage and priest respectively.

In Japanese the Lord never mentioned by gender specific pronouns.
Also the event was hundreds of years in the past so the story shifted to the way it is now.
The MC was really her party teammates, and lulunarde has a special that angered people so they sealed her in a dungeon.
At the beginning of the game, the MC found a mean to get lulu out of the dungeon he went there to save her but defeated by the dungeon's mechanism.
Several hundred years passed, the ability to save lulu (possibly the lump on your body) for some reason activated by itself and revived you, then the game started.

But you have to buy his bone to get him to start showing up in the dungeon again, and he shows up twice in the starter dungeon to sell you a regular bone for 1k each time, and maybe twice in the second dungeon for the same thing. I've seen him 3 times so far, plus the 100g event.

Its be a lot more popular.
The reason being that the Gacha Characters are non-existant in the game's plot, you don't interact with them.

But still that brings another point.
Thats why the story is so good and flows so easily since the game has no reason having to shoehorne all these gacha characters you have no idea who into the story and try to make you like them so you feel enticed to pull for them.

It's a trade off. But i wouldn't mind the game having Events for the gacha SSR characters where you pull the Timeloop hand to visit the era of that Legendary character and get to know them.

Yeah I'm playing another game Star Rail and the story contorting around itself to shill the latest character is actually hurting it quite a bit. However I'd settle for this game to make "character episodes" that have sidestories for each character. Most gacha that don't integrate characters into the main plot immediately end up doing this so people have a reason to get attached.

The fortitude damage alone from the traps is like everyone died at least once, and barely got into it.

Navigating the menu in general is quite ass, I swear nip dev really like to convolute things.
On the topic of gearing up you can instead manually equipping it from the Equipment menu. Just make sure to remove their current weapons that you want to bring with you so they can go to your character's Inventory. It's a weird workaround but that's how i do it.

He spawns on a random floor at a random time. I've gotten 2 bones off him in the first dungeon, and 1 in the second.

He might have more for sale, but right now I think he's capped at 2 per dungeon, or maybe 2 per week or something.

No. Tier is the most important, because +5 whites only unlock their blessing. +5 blues/greens/purples/reds UPGRADE their blessing, and that goes for +10 and beyond. So reds are objectively better than purples.

Of course, none of this matters if the blessing rolls are junk. And replaced blessings don't upgrade.
