Just finished B6F. Are fights going to just take this long now for the rest of the game? I know I can eventually find bane weapons but that's completely up to rng. I know mage and priest can blast through the fights but obviously mp won't last for more than a couple encounters for every delve.

As to whether its worth it, ehhhh. Very low success rate of extraction, perk comes out nerfed too. But if selling the weapon gets you pocket change, why not right?

I for the love of God can't find the 2nd rhodium. Got the first one by failing the 2nd teleport but failing the 3rd teleport doesn't spawn any mob. Even tried failing the first teleport but it just spawns you in the same room.

It's do-able with a bunch of level 20s. Bit the quest aims to try and trick you into thinking you wanna go for a different option compared to last time.
Use the same option as last time and only content with half a painful fight. But yeah, lead exam is also helpful.

Japs only care about oldwiz and this game is a pretty good extrapolation on that formula
Maybe but they're really barebones and incredibly harsh until the later ones which aren't much like Jap wizardry at all
If you're going to play this game you should get in at launch, playing catchup in live service kinda stinks (not that this game is competitive mind you but in terms of community discussion.) And while it's tough as hell by modern standards it's still much easier than oldwiz.

My MC is good and had plenty of positive talks with all of my party members, except Adam, he's too sigma to even want to talk to me
But even Alice who's nominally evil has gotten talks and her backstory expanded, I assume it goes up with some kind of supportive interactions between party members or something, so Alice is bound to get more of it because she heals and buffs

I'm not sure how it works or if charas even have different voicelines for that stuff
But there is an affinity system in the game and it may be tied to that instead of alignment (which seems to matter more in dispatches
Also while the thieves are majority evil/neutral, there are good charas that classchange to thief like Olive I think

Other Wizardry games tend to be a lot more focused on exploration and mapping, but combat itself is simpler. This game has auto mapping plus it always shows where your position is, but it has way more mechanics revolving around combat and crafting. The other Wizardry games are worth trying on their own but besides some extremely blatant references there's nothing tying the games in terms of story or setting.

If you're wondering how mapping makes a game any different, well basically imagine navigating a level filled with invisible silent teleporters, spinning tiles, dark areas, identical hallways and there's zero in-game map and nothing showing your position outside of consumables and spells, so half the challenge is making sure the map you're drawing is actually accurate.

They're taking some major liberties with the alignment system. For example Debra is a Thief/Knight which is an impossible combo because Knights in wizardry MUST be Good and Thieves CAN NOT be Good.

Yeah with the bigger emphasis on combat I'd say this game is closer to Etrian Odyssey, although it definitely has a lot of Wizardry influence too, like the returning to base item is very limited/cash shop so you still have some tense runbacks to the teleporter or exit, and the whole equipment system
I really enjoy this so far though, honestly the biggest positive surprise from a mobile game ever for me

Only reason i found this game more entertaining than other dungeon crawlers is that theres actual animations of you going in to attack with different weapons and you can see your teammates doing attacks and stuff.
Instantly elevates the genre instead of a glorified text adventure with pngs as your characters.

I haven't seen anything that suggests that, certain characters will be better or worse for certain dungeons/fights because of their affinity (like mages usually have only one elemental attack spell and you can't inherit all of them)
So having more than one squad so far is just for dispatches and so you have backups in case your fortitude drops too low, but at that point you might as well just take a break, having two teams at your current max level will take a lot of time unless they introduce some more efficient farming methods

Lol, you need to get to him full on mana, packing full Undead Bane weapons and Fireball scrolls when you run out of mana to keep your DPS up.
He is a gear check, doesnt have any crazy attacks but a lot of HP and summons very annoying enemies.
The longer you take the worse it gets.

You cant for now, Mana management is premium and very hard to come by.
So just like DnD always have a backup for your mages like scrolls or side weapons when they run out of mana.

Right so the way the purple bones seem to work, IF you pull the featured character, then you get one of the bonus items along with it.

Also, the bonus items come with 1/3 strength unlocks. So you actually only need to pull FUCKING NINE of them to max them out. Still complete whalebait until we get universal unify mats.

They are about as good as iron, so a decent upgrade over bronze if you haven't found anything

Nice digits.
Spears are mid-range, mining they can hit 2nd row without penalty. Daggers/swords/axes/maces/etc are close range. Bows are long range and can hit their backline from yours without penalty.

I mean, he's kinda tanky due to dwarf stat growth, but his heals are shit and he's slow af. Using a 2h staff cause shield barely changes anything and he can at least bash stuff for damage and have increased divine power for heals. Had dupes so I raised his discipline for more HP.

Alright because I had near max fortitude and was about to log off anyway I took one for the team and tried the Mausoleum again:
It does work now, but if you don't pay gems at the altar you'll get locked out of any rooms after you open one and find remains
I went for the fighter ones and now it says Found: 1/8 in the info tab at the start
I assume it's a once per day thing, not sure if you could try for multiple classes a day, don't have the Fortitude do try another one

Looking through the cash shop, I think the 1.50$ weekly xp pack and the 5$ purple pass are the only things worth buying
That XP pack has the best conversion to green gems
Everything else gets inflated by the other shit in the pack
Paying money for regular bones / armor / even the S rank bone is a scam

Yekterina is definitely way better than other Mages, dunno if Adam's passive allows him to ignore the damage reduction from Undead or not
A lot of fights you can basically instantly end with a damage in a row spell for ~500 xp. Tougher fights on B7/B8 are like 700+ xp and if you get lucky with the doll spawn that's 2000+ xp in a single battle

I had the same problem, check to see if the defenders are marked as dead on your timeline. If so,go back to the first harken and refight the first warped one on B1. select defenders when given a choice and they should survive the gunk blast this time. Then you can jump forward again, send in elmon alone, and the grunts should join her to save the trapped knights.

Imo, you'd really want at least a Lana on your team. Passive heals are indirectly MP for your priests or additional healing consumbles on your team. Ideally with some dupes as well to level that skill. I've confirmed up to level 3 that it heals 34, and according to the JP wiki, level 4 heals 44 so it looks like it alternates between +12 and +10 on each level. Heard it only heals like 3 or 6 (at level 1) if given to someone else so it's pretty much worthless for others and it doesn't stack if two characters have it.

I instantly made a second party, so anyone that gets too low in fortitude can be replaced. In old Wizardry games I usually have like 12-15 characters anyways because in those there's nothing stopping a high level character from getting permadeath'd in one shot unlike this game where there's like 100 safeguards.

It is some passive boost to a specific thing depending on the bondmate, I am guessing quite a small boost, a character can have up to 5 bondmates and each bondmate can only be assigned to one.

Accept the new request, talk with guy in tavern, find dagger in F7, talk to him again, finish quest, then when you go down to Floor 8 (or time travel to that point to also have the shield repaired) it'll automatically come up

I'm using Philipp since I got a few dupes of him, including one with 10 bonus points
Maybe I could fodder some other thief into him to increase the level of his detection skill, but so far it always was solid and he should be one of the better ones at detecting since that partially takes IQ into account (disarming is dex)

I managed to beat the bronze grade exam by the skin of my teeth. It went down to the wire, with everyone almost dead and out of skills (except Adam because of his spell cost reduction).
So in a last ditch attempt, knowing the boss's next attack would probably kill the MC, I had Adam use his nuke, and we won. What a rush. This game is so fun.

I've decided to stop jumping back and looking for Lambert until after I've killed Helmut. I've searched every tile of B5F (yes, even the poison corridors) and found nothing but bones. I don't know why the Knowledge tip mentions you first meeting on B5F when I don't think that ever actually happened. It doesn't seem to matter whether or not you've taken Sophie's request first. Maybe I'll try taking the request and then meeting him on B7F again in the hopes that some new option will pop up instead of just watching him get mauled again.

I don't see much potential in maces 1/2h, but 2H axes are probably your best melee option against enemies with high defense, although greatswords also work pretty well

Enemy defense seems to reduce damage non-linearly when compared to the attackers atk stat.
Knights with 1 handed swords does pathetic damage against slimes but give them a 2 hander and they suddenly hit 2~3x more even though the atk stat isn't that much higher.

2H weapons get additional strength scaling
multihit weapons get completely wrecked by enemies like armored undead
if you actually have a decent accuracy score you'll rarely miss with 2H (just did my entire lead rankup without a single miss) and if your accuracy is lousy you'll miss with even swords
I would use 1Hers because they look so good on paper and I actually got good ones but in practice 2Hers mog them

I'm assuming this is an oversight that stems from making "Undead Bane" its own tier of weapon like Bronze or Iron instead of just making the "Vs. Undead" trait add an "of Undead Bane" suffix to pre-existing weapon tiers. Kind of funny to think about.

What's the reward for saving all of them?
I forgot that Lulu said that time was a factor. So on the last fight I completely pointlessly saved by SP and MP because the enemy wasn't a threat. To me anyway.

You'll have to make sure the defenders and craftsmen both survive, along with getting the strength potion for the defenders by following the medicinal root request. I think you may have to make sure that the Skirmishers and Albeno also survive, but I think the former is just to make sure that the one knight that Elmon saves on B4F survives (you can get him as a bondmate later by visiting the tavern).

Unfortunately, switching from a 1h weapon to a 2h mid-combat seems to just throw you back to the title screen with an error code. It could be worse: you could actually need to spend a turn to change equipment mid-combat.

Your only hope if he dies would be to intentionally kill the MC via multiple failed mid-battle reversal attempts on Gerulf's body, and then consume one of the three flames to reset his state to what it was before the battle. If you are out of flames or don't use one, you will have to wait 10+ hours and pay a lot of gold to res him at the church.

The Warped Ones will kill every group except for the Defenders. The Defenders are necessary to keep Elmon alive on B8F. The Craftsmen (and Vernant) are necessary to keep Elmon (and Vernant) alive on B4F and B8F. The Skirmishers are necessary to keep the one bait knight alive on B4F since they're the only ones who can give Elmon backup at the walkway. If you just care about keeping Elmon and Vernant alive for B8F then you can probably let the Skirmishers die.

Yeah biggest problem with that setup is that you are kinda forced to level up to recover mp.
Though resting in the dungeon doesn't level you up, and you can reset the dungeon camp by just leaving and coming back right?

My Yeka was already high enough to have 60MP - less than that would still be doable with the multi-target spells but slower.

I've just been making do with clearing everything out, then running back to the B7F fountain to rest for another run before mobs respawn. Still not entirely sure if mobs respawn on a timer or after returning to town. Sometimes I'll get caught after I thought I'd cleared the map, but it could be I'd just missed the mob because detection requirements really ramp up on B7F and B8F.

You know how you reversed those rocks as you made your way there.
Those open up a short cut in the previous floor avoiding the poison puddle.
Just walk to the harken without fighting mobs or get to the camp spot if you haven't used it.
My strat for that floor is clear out the walking mobs then camp then go beat helmut's ass.

But if its the same run using a camping point those mobs are gone until you re enter.
As for patrol patterns sure but, there is a room with 3 mobs patrolling before you get to helmut and that typically forces you to atleast burn resources regardless you do you boss.

Sorry anon I was gone for a while. Here's how it went for me, which wasn't intentional just how it happened as I was trying to level a lot before accepting the Donato quest.
>got letter on B4
>accepted Donato quest
>fully cleared Donato quest (killed 6 groups)
>turned in, Donato rewards me, then talks about the letter, then becomes bond mate

I beat her while my party was level 8-9 (1st row - priest, MC, knight, 2nd row - mage, fighter, mage), I had the evasion buff up, everyone carried healing herbs/vials, and I also kept up the hit chance decrease debuff at all times as well as double casting sleep so the boss skips their turn. Opening status is extremely useful, as is sleeping. She is also vulnerable to the sword of the breeze or whatever its name is.
She liked to hard focus MC so what I liked to do was swap the knight in and block with him instead, and since that's usually the fighter row there was a good chance the fighter would survive as well.
