So is there a breakdown on what carries over on class change and do your stats get reshuffled? I thought there'd be a reason to inherit skills, but if you can just get them by class change and then changing back then it seems redundant. And if your base stats don't get reshuffled then Wanderer would be shit as a Mage even if you had a relatively high IQ roll.

I would never lie! You really can use that password and (eventually) get an (unrelated) jelly "pet".

And for anyone curious how:
In the Beginning Abyss, sometimes you can randomly find a non-hostile jelly asking for pebbles, similar to how you can randomly find the non-hostile goblin asking for a coin, or the dwarf asking for a consumable item.
If you give the jelly an item 3 times, it will join you as a bondmate.
Personally, I found the jelly first on floor 5, then floor 3, and finally on floor 5 again. I'm not sure if the value of the item you give affects how many items you need to give for it to join, but I gave it the top option the first time, the middle option the second time, and the bottom option the third time. You can try giving it the lowest value item 3 times and it might still work.

PVP Alice Sexer guide

reroll until your MC speed is 15 neutral/good because all players MC max speed is 15.
You don't need to be the fastest. just be faster than enemies of level 20 or 40 cap. Use light equipment if not.
Frontliner full on vit.
mage full on IQ because player resistance is big.
Kill frontliner without shield first so their backline move forward.
Enemies mage and debra probably will try sleep/delay our backrow first.
So make Alice as full speed to turn on the resist and eva buff faster than enemies.

Alice is the key for winning the PVP

Reroll for 25 speed Alice if necessary
Debra can be the counter for speedy alice, but honestly not worth it because to delay, you need dex too.

Precision Shot will deal big damage while she's building up, defend on the column that's being targeted or swap the characters positions if defending won't be enough. One of her strikes repositions so you can move there or just keep polearms on your fighters so they can fight from the backline

From what I remember in prior Wizardrys hide would make them either untargetable or less targeted and it would break as soon as they attacked but confer a bonus to that attack.
Daphne's hide makes cryptic mention of empowering other skills though.

Yes, and I don't actually know whether your base stats shift because I don't remember what I started with and only have Fighter unlocked to shift to at the moment. I would assume they do at least somewhat, but even if they don't relevelling as Mage will more than make up for it as despite the somewhat random nature of levelups, it noticeably biases your class' favored stats

That means for 30-40 you need to burn 12 characters, assuming there are no other sources of tags. If you can get base tags weekly or whatever, it's still 6 burns, and that multiplies exponentially for 40-50 and beyond.

It's more gear dependent than level dependent, like most of the game. If you've got mostly greens and blues at +4 and +5, you shouldn't have too much trouble. The jump from +4 to +5 is huge, because it increases the bonus attributes on gear.

After almost a week of play, here are my SSR ratings for the 3 I have.

S tier - Adam. 10 mana 100+ damage to a whole lane is fantastic, and 3 mana 100 single target means he lasts forever. I can't imagine using a mage without his reduction skills.

A tier - Gerulf. 9 SP 300 damage smash is a little expensive, but his 2H accuracy and full plate defense make it a little more palatable.

B tier - Lana. Her stun is good, but her 12HP heal is only useful during the tutorial.

Worth keeping? Two legendaries besides the guaranteed one is nice, but the bonus stats are kinda low on Debra and Lana, and I was gunning for Adam + Alice + Yeka backline. I know I can get Alice/Yeka from the bone picker, but this is a chance to guarantee them with decent bonus stats and I can pick up the other legendaries instead.

Class matters as well. If you don't have a thief or send a bad thief they'll constantly be getting fucked up by traps and then if you don't have a priest they'll be stuck with those status ailments.
Generally you should probably be 2-3 levels over the reqs especially if their gear is shit.

Is there a faster way to grind levels than the spinner woman? 150xp a pop seems faster than just wandering around the dungeons otherwise. If they do give significantly more exp, they take too long to kill (along with the risk.)

I hit floor 6 and I just ran into a million ambushes and undetected mobs, so I take it that's my cue.

Not an "exploit" but you get reduced exp gain after you're like 5 levels over it (it's level 3, so you want to stop resting at the inn when you're 7), so you can just powerlevel new characters here for exp without resting them at the inn since you can hold overflow exp.

Early game the strat is to equip everyone in full light armor (not heavy, you cannot afford the penalties) and daggerrs (plus FIFTEEN accuracy is huge)

when you're level 15+ with upgraded gear, the penalties from heavy gear aren't super relevant, but at low levels your accuracy is dogshit and you have no passives. Having lana+MC+another fighter all run around with daggers and shields is the way to go. Debra is also clutch since even at low levels you can give her a bow and snipe enemies endlessly with precise strike with SP refund.

early game mages and priests are a liability though, yes, although once you get to later floors they become essential

That's kinda what my endgame for the MC is. Though after a bit of digging, I think in the old games there's advance classes for that (the mage/fighter is called samurai for some reason). I'd assume reclassing to fighter would only leave you with enough MP to cast a few low power spells and you'd want to wait for them to release the advance classes.

As far as I understand NG+ here is the game basically allowing to keep repeating the story and infinitum, so there is really no way to brick yourself from missing out on stuff in the story.

Is the legendary mage/priest giga spell supposed to be kinda dogshit? I was expecting it to scale with something, but at level 16 and with way better stats and magic attack, it is barely doing any more damage than it did at level 3.

It's more like you learn your special visual novel time travel and go back through the first dungeon at a higher difficulty with it, it might be the case for every main dungeon follows the same pattern (you go through fucking up, but learning stuff, then you NG+ it to do it properly), but that's speculation for me so far

I've been raising people at 51 fortitude for a while haven't failed any yet. I think it's as simple as White=100%, yellow=50%, red=25% or something.

Yeah, ultimately the game expects you to use the floor 7 Harkin and fountain for Floor 8 as well. Your best bet is once you do the stone stuff on floor 8, is taking the new floor 7 shortcuts provided by doing that to get to the boss with as many recourses you can

First shortcut path is from the Harkin side of the maze across gap between the 2 poison puddles.
Second shortcut path iirc is near the fountain, the should be a new straight path across near the fountain and the singular room era. Both lets you avoid all the poison so you don't have to worry about fortitude loss

I was able to beat him at lvl 17.

I just made sure I was at max mp/sp before getting to him.
I cleared some of the mobs on his floor, then went back to the rest area to get my mp/sp back up. Then tackled the boss and won.

What level should I be before trying to go for the final boss in b8f on NG? I just hit 17 with my full squad, I've been playing it pretty safe so I've never had anyone die or even need the QTE mid fight resurrection. everybody's gear is pretty much at +4 and I have anti-undead weapon swaps for my 3 frontliners

Honestly take the chance to grind to 20 while you have access to Floors 7/8
You'll have to go through the whole thing again on NG+ and the first few floors aren't super hard, but give less exp than big groups of undead

Presuming you're on your 2nd run. You need to step out of the way when Pulgritte charges your way in town. Choose the right dialogue options, can't recall which ones that makes her get the guild to pay back the merchant. Continue the dialogue to which she'll then give you a private quest with no reward at the guild. Do that bounty/quest and turn it in, in which she'll ask what reward you want and you can ask her to hold Elmon back.

Actually. Seems like my Gerulf gets the +10 in parentheses for as long as he is equipping a two-handed weapon. No matter if it's a sword or not.
Actually. Seems to even work with spears. And hot damn, the accuracy goes high if he uses a spear. But I am guessing it actually needs to be a two-handed blunt weapon for his Eruption Strike to get the added accuracy and damage from that skill.

i've saved the king and progressed into the second town, and dispatches either give you trash equipment, or give you okay equipment but are so ridiculously cumbersome to go on (need a full super high level party while meeting race and class conditions) that they aren't worth the meager rewards, at least not yet. in several weeks, when everyone has multiple team's worth of high level units, they might be worth caring about.

I've gotten through floor 5 without anyone dying. But I wanted to train some noobies for dispatches. And figured I could have a strong party member in front and three backrow.
The formation looks good prior to the battle. Gets into the battle. And the two backrow characters are pushed forward to the frontrow.

Like I get it. No one was in front of them. But then why didn't the game just put them in the front row immediately after I tried to place them in the backrow? Why wait until the first battle to alter their position?

my party's level 27 right now and so far I've found it very fun and engaging. The systems are simple enough and even then the game can get pretty challenging at times, without making me feel like I'll have to grind for countless hours just to get a shot at progression. I'll tell you right now, as someone with a lot of experience in gacha games, the only packs that matter are going to be the ones with selectors or guranteed featured characters or extremely rare items. Legendary bones are worthless, because it's just common pool legendaries and you'll have a dozen of those by next month.

99% of these packs are garbage. Buy the azure ore packs until you beat the first abyss, after that you should have no issue farming gold, and buy the daily Gem Of Org pack for 100 gold.

It's not great.
Lana sucks and should be at the bottom. Booted her off the team a while ago because she just didn't do anything. Her stun, covers, and taunt are all inconsistent and her damage is low.
Alice is okay but she's not the best. She's just a buff/heal bot. Her utility against undead is questionable because it's RNG.
Adam and Yeka are amazing. They are both invaluable against difficult enemies and should be higher. Adam is better overall, but Yeka becomes more useful after you've saved the king.
Gerulf is great, too. Very bulky and strong, but slow. They rate him low because he "overlaps with the protagonist", as if fighterspam isn't the week one meta.

I had no problem doing it right after the scorpion boss, though I had gotten all my gear to +4 for her. Landing sleep on one of the ents and debuff then nuke the other one makes the fight much more manageable

Too early to tell. Most of your income in gacha games isn't usually from dailies but from added content, event dungeons, etc. Also you're forgetting the 2 pulls + 500 gems from Savor the Risk 1, so we can reasonably infer that we'll get 2 pulls per week from battle passes, in addition to mausoleum pulls which we can't actually get because it's bugged (but you should still do mausoleum because they'll likely send out compensation).

So for General Adventurers, it seems Lv1 discipline takes 100 skill exp, level 2 ALSO takes 100 exp, and level 3 takes 300. So that's a weird pattern. Anyone have higher than level 3 discipline?

Can confirm, I had a the combat lockup bug, and had to completely reinstall the app to fix it,

you can get the link information from the title screen and set that up when you reinstall to keep from losing your progress.

And sure. When you're high level that might not sound incredible. But it's totally free heals, party wide, and I doubt we'll get anything else like it.
If you have a normal Lana, then you can do a merge to be able to swap between the skins. And it also makes her stronger. But otherwise I'd just do skill inherence and level up the skill.

Then again. There might be items to level up skills. But I don't know.
