It's -10 so it's not safe. That's why it's so impressive I could never do that. Then again at 2:45.

This is why I think SF is the hardest fighting game I couldn't even begin to imagine doing that, when I still played Strive really actively there were some routes I couldn't do but overall I could just watch top players of my characters and actively steal stuff from their replays and add it to my own and get better that way but here half the stuff is so hard to do it's pointless to even try and implement.

In most match-ups as Manon I feel like I'm having more success when I play for oki/corner carry instead of medal stacks. She has an entire unique mechanic centered around high-damage command grabs and spending meter on medium buffers and playing for corner and throw loops is still better.

No what make SF6 high variance is parry, it's what the devs built the game and other mechanics around.
SF6 will always be a pretty explosive game, it might get a bit more tame in a few seasons, but you gotta either take the game for what it is or drop it now.

the input lag fixes alone made the game way more solid. VT, stagger pressure, crush counter were still extremely prevalent and at its core the game still in line with original vision of aggressiveness. but they added a bunch of new specials and combo routes, another v-trigger, new v-skills, v-shift, removed throw loops, added lingering hurtboxes to many problematic moves, and so on. by the last season the game had, imo, one of the better balances between offense and defense in sf. some people even say it was too defensive, especially after luke came out.

Cammy's DP is overrated. It side switches but leaves her so far away you can just walk far enough away from corner anyway. It's much worse getting ex DPd by Ken who can get pressure afterwards with Drive Rush and still threaten strike/throw which both lead into a sideswitch. And also, sideswitch DPs are bad in many situations in this game, especially since a lot of people take their turns back after blocking jab pressure with low forward xx DR, and if Cammy does the common DP OS against it, she'll corner herself (and still get no oki).

If you are losing to cammy playing "random" then the problem isn't cammy, its you. I'm not making fun of you, the same thing happens to me. If any character is making you look like you don't how to play, its because you are not playing in the correct rhythm and you're not playing against that character properly. You can see it happen to top players too.
You aren't failing at executing things, you're failing at the tactics phase. Cammy is probably one of the strongest characters in the up close footsie range, you need to be defensive and consider every time you block cammy to be a victory.

I feel like if M. Bison didn't have Backfist Combo/Psycho mine mechanic he would've been a less broken character. A lot of people whine about motion inputs Scissor Kicks but for what I see of him at high level that's the least offensive issue of the character.

M.Bison has a level of that where EVEN the pros can't stuff out
the typical bison retard online spams devils rise and scissor kicks all day collecting mmr they don't deserve but will get stomped by actual pros because they cheated themselves into an MMR they can't handle so when those cheap buttons fail they're facing down a GOOD player in neutral being an online retard with no concept of footsies
but AFTER getting past that professional players will get single combo into bomb pressured so badly that they can get put in the corner with a bomb, drive rushed at by the bison who won't press anything and just block
this leaves the professional player in a situation where they can be throw looped, low DR, hit with an overhead, anti-aired, drive impacted, or just put into a huge blockstring taking away their entire drive gage
and IF any of the combo buttons hit not only can you be put back into square one with a bomb on you again you might just straight up take a full 7k minimum damage combo
what choice do you have but to OD reversal there when not doing that loses you the game anyway?

Manon is not even remotely close to a Juri, or Ken, or Ryu in terms of power.

But he doesn't have as fundamental of flaws as Jamie and Manon who consistently HAVE to sacrifice oki, because there damage fucking sucks ass, and even when they do get OKI they still can't even do much because one of those characters doesn't have a DP, and the other one has super contextual combos

DATA ISNT "NUMBERS" have you never watched even one YouTube video about how data can be misleading?

Any data is only useful when CONTROLLED for. None of the data from these retarded videogame companies is controlled against anything. None of it is test or experiment data. It's just raw retarded randomness. And when that's the case, data differences are arbitrary because most of the time an equilibrium is reached, and when there isn't one, there could be a compounding factor that we can't identified because there's no control.

I have zero idea where this meme about winrates came from and gained traction. But back when I played league, even without a stats degree, there are so many little things you can find that disprove certain realities that the winrates imply.

more or less doesn't really matter. just like how in league, if one tricks dominate with a player in the higher tiers, they can completely skew the winrates, that exists here too. Certain characters will NEVER be touched by enough pros or one tricks, and inverse. Certain characters will be inflated by moderately good grinders (there was literally a rank 1 Manon, and there was a rank 1 lily last season).

The point ultimately is that the data is meaningless, it says absolutely nothing. It controls for none of the factors I mentioned.

There are other factors like the fact that some people will play other characters theyre less proficient at, or simply don't care about enough just because, or they'll play characters that are weak but inflate their winrate, because they're godly players (punk used to frequently play through all the characters and get consistent winstreaks all the time)

And then there's stuff like Snake Eyez' recent 231 winstreak (although that was in platinum, but still).

You might say "but those examples you brought up could have miniscule effect" but that's the thing. We don't know. And stats can be influenced JUST enough, even by 100 games out of 1000, and guess what happens if you just triple that amount of players to 3 players with 100 games each, that's already 30% of influence on the overall stats.

All that influence doesn't even have to mean that a winrate which would be 50% is now 60% It could simply mean that a winrate that would have been 45 relative to everyone else's 55, is now a 51.

You can see commentators twisting and turning to avoid saying the wrong thing about SF6 or characters (like bison) when they have to describe what just happened and why it happened. I think to discuss character strength, you need to fully map out and explain how the game truly works, but you can't do that because it would be seen as criticizing SF6. Its like those political landmines that you can't talk about but you have to somehow address.

The data sample is biased because ranked SBMM is biased towards matching players of equal likelihood of winning, obviously. This table is useful for seeing which characters a given character struggles with the most or least. Their overall winrate is not useful and those right-most columns should be deleted.
