We talked more, and after some time, I made an offer. I told him about my wife, how she might enjoy his company. I figured a guy who could keep the whole raid together could handle other things too.

Turns out, he was the same Derek. We both kind of laughed about it—how small the world could be, even in Azeroth. It was strange, but we kept raiding together. He became more than just a guildmate. He took on a new role, both in-game and out. And somehow, in both realms, I found my place.

The problem with Delves is it cannibalizes other content, Blizzard doesn't know how to add new things without it killing off to much of other things and you see this heavily with Diablo 4. Delves killed the Timewalking weekly, the Mythic weekly, LFR, normal mythics, low M+. Zero point to do these if you can do a +8.

Yeah that is retail not classic. I downloaded a plugin to give the UI the classic look because the "new" UI design for retail is abysmal, just minimalist trash. Unfortunately the plugin doesn't include the target frames and cast bar, but oh well.

mm yes that was my issue as melee dps - I had damage to nuke them in time but I had to be on them asap, and he'd often throw them across the room then claw smash. I just went and enchanted my stuff, crafted a good wep, bought consumes. it bought my DPS up enough that I could get on the cocoons a few seconds late.

MDT is mostly so just used so the entire group has an idea of what the tank wants to do so they can plan their own cooldowns and whatnot around it, or when to potion skip etc.

In most situations outside of high keys wherein the above happens, you can just use MDT for yourself specifically so you know where you want to go and how much % each mob gives before the dungeon.

Right I assked becasue Professions got a major overhaul in Dragonflight, Gathering while leveling may not actually be good side hustle any longer due to the ammount of investment blizzard wants players to put into proffesions. I'd try it but I expect with low knowledge and no tools you'll only be able to gather bronze grade singles.
The proffession sysmtem is it's own end game and kinda sucks for casual users.

you have to quickly gain knowledge points and buy proffession equipment that's all you can do as better profession equipment is locked behind special profession currency you have to gain slowly and knowledge is locked behind a grind, catch up mechanics might help you slowly but it's a grind.
The best thing you can do is buy the poition that lets you see hidden gathering nodes.

Again the problem is in the past merely doing the profession would give you good returns even in legion you just needed to keep doing it, but with the new system it's not nearly as hassle free or easy and requires a big upfront investment that might ofset whatever you're able to earn leveling.
The alternative is not using any tools that way there's no deficit to pay off but the problem is proffesion stats matter a lot so you probably wont earn much.

I legit don't understand why Survival is so low on all this shit. I admit it's weird to learn to play, but you basically have infinite mobility and barely have to worry about mechanics because you can DE/Harpoon through/over/away from everything. You even have fucking Bubble with AotT. I just don't get it unless people don't like the aesthetic.
