Is raising strength for thieves REALLY a good idea?
I get they will be doing more damage. But dexterity already does that by increasing their accuracy, as they don't miss as much and this end up doing more damage. Not to mention it's their main stat for opening chests among other things.
And that's not even accounting for the fact that you want them to be fast for trap avoidance and lucky as well.
Thieves overall seem to be some of the more stat starved classes so leveling strength on them for damage when you could just be using a fighter instead seems like a bad idea.

I've just unlocked the training room at the tavern.
Leaned a "Passive HP Up" on my MC on inherit skill.

Is there a limit on how many skills can I inherit?
What does the "inheritance count" means? Why when selecting some characters you have 1/6 and 1/14 on others?

I am thinking of doing the same. I have. a couple 8 skill point no name thieves and tried to go dex/speed with a slight emphasis on dex, on one and although it's good that you are going first almost always, I feel it's largely unnecessary since she is fast enough by default.
Going all dex is probably the best idea.
You get accuracy/crit which may as well be damage, and also allows the thieve do do her job most efficiently at the same time.

Did I miss something? When I recruited a character, I was able to assign bonus stats.
And when everyone leveled up, they gained status random automatically.
But did I miss something? I wasn't able to assign "bonus stats" to my MC after the questionnaire, and neither when it leveled up.

You should at least enchant your weapons and blue/green gear you're using up to +4. It's cheap and you can just transfer it to your dispatch group once you outgrow it

Somehow I ended up with 3 but from what I understand the 5* are just the same as regular units (sometimes with less stats even) but they have a few unique skills. So you aren't missing much by using the generics then foddering the exclusive skills to them once you do roll them.

Limited costumes are more valuable as far as I am concerned. At some point the game may very well introduce a way to increase skill points. And it's not like I am gonna get spooked by a limited costume again. Depending on how rare bones end up being, I could very well end up with dupe of him with the same skill points. Even if I don't, ending with a 8/9 one isn't unrealistic at all.

I don't think they are randomized. They either are the same for everyone or they keep the general spread that you chose at the start of the game. I am like level 9 and I basically have the exact same spread as the start only with higher stats.
Of course that happens gradually a couple stats every level so it can look more random at times, but it always rounds up to the same spread.

Bonus skill points. The limited styles are obviously impossible to farm, and you are basically never going to get a 10 bonus skill point one.
But the basic bones are farmable, and that means that the base styles are farmable as well. So if you merge a bonus skill point 5 (the most common) character with a limited costume, when you eventually get the same base style with higher skill points, you will have no way to transfer them over. That wouldn't be a problem if merging was unlimited (and ideally even added to the dupe bonus).

It's not a lot of trouble for the devs to fix it. They could just allow skill point transfer though duping. Hell they could even add some other way to increase skill points like an item. There are a lot of easy ways to fix a system that discourages you to use one of the most important mechanics in the future. Styles are probably going to be the only ones that stay limited to the gacha, it's basically why people will spend money on the game. So not having it work in a way that can devalue that money you spend is pretty important.

Gachas don't have to pull that much money to stay profitable, some of them only get EOSed simply because the investors think it's better to scrap it and try again then to nurse the game along for sub-optimal profit.

I liked it even though it was grindy as fuck, but it came out during a time where any MMO that wasn't WoW died off quickly, it was poorly supported (by SOE no less) and the Wizardry name certainly doesn't have enough brand power to carry a game that isn't even the same fucking genre.
Daphne might be a gacha but it's at least an actual Wizardry game, WizOn just borrowed some Wizardry flavor and honestly not a lot of it.

Got my first Alice on my free mailbox Legendary character. First Debra was from the bone merchant. Devs gave away a free 3 day quest pass as an apology for the shoddy launch. Decided I'd buy one of the 5 dollar bundles so I can get my account back in a hypothetical worse case scenario via cross referencing transactions.
The rest were just lucky from the free bones they handed out and the Wandering Lav banner paid with the gems I've accumulated via handouts/log in rewards, quests and just playing.

Iron's pretty rare in my experience so far. I'd say upgrade when the game starts hinting at you to do so, because even if you're no longer using them on your main party. They can still be used by your extra adventurers if your main party are on cooldown do to fortitude breaks

What's the benefit of the Legendary thief? From what I can tell Lanaville gives HP restoration after battle, Alice has longer buffs/debuffs, but not sure what the other Legendary benefits are over generics or "4 stars", at least they don't seem to have much higher stats by default

Yeah, Fortitude recovers daily, but like in my case. I got Vorpal Bunnie'd and ended up losing a unit twice to the insta-kill/crit. Knocking down her Fortitude to 40 before I could exit the dung.
So now I just level back up units in case a mains fortitude breaks too bad.

NG+ is absolutely brutal, because it's a pure gear check. You can beat NG at level 20, but NG+ really expects you to have ranked up in the guild first. I can't even kill the 2F boss, and now it's hell to just try and farm item drops to try and get the level of gear required.

Basically, merging a "skin" with their base is only doable once per "skin". It's intentionally done that way to prevent redundant unlocks. If Lana gets a second skin you can have all three skins of Lana on your one unit.

Damn. I thought just getting limited Lav wasn't enough so I went and did one more reroll.
I needed just one more pull to get Lav than before. But I also got the legendary dwarf and the skeleton mage in the free standard pulls as well. With the male elf mage in the guaranteed limited. I doubt its going to get much better than this for me. Only bad thing is that this lav has 6 skill points instead of 8 (like my one before). But I can just merge her with a higher skill count lav eventually so it will be pretty much irrelevant in the long term. And 2 more legendaries will definitely be more handy.

Thanks. I remember was pretty happy initially when I got a 8 skill wandering lav, but my excitement quickly deflated when I learned merging can increase her skill count anyway.
In retrospect that's probably why I stopped so early despite only getting her and nothing else.
There was also the whole narrative about standard pulls being very farmable and easy to get at the time as well. Which unfortunately doesn't seem to actually be the case after playing for a full day. The amount of pulls I got was pretty sad.

I have no idea how to allocate skill points to my thief.
Fighters are pretty easy, you want a pretty equal spread around str/dex/vit.
Priests are even easier, you just want piety with a bit vit just so they can stay alive to heal more.
But there are so many ways to go with thief. Some say to go all str for now scaling, others say go all dex, some say speed is important others say luck.
I have no idea how to build my 9 skill point no name thief.

The biggest issue is the inheritance count cap. Realistically you'll need so many dupes to max anything out that it's pretty pointless to worry about it if you aren't a whale.

I think your thief should primarily focus on being a chest bot (so dex) because the disarms get crazy later on, but str affects all physical damage so it's tempting to put points in that
I think speed matters more for your wizard (KATINO) and frontline damage dealers since their armor is going to slow them a lot and letting every group of mobs take free shots at you is going to slow down your crawling immensely.

It's the cap until you beat the first guild rank up event, which is very difficult even at level 20. Guy in the bar told me I needed silver level gear on everyone when I only have +4 greens and blues.

Gear is the big stopping point, levels are easy to grind but running around collecting chests is boring.

I did it at level 5, but got lucky probably, I also died once, had to fully heal MP
Benjamin (Dwarf Fighter)/Lanaville(Knight)/MC
Philip (Bow Thief)/Adam(Mage with light damage)/Alice (Priest, had heal and +def buff)
Guard with the front line when it licks its lips, otherwise just do as much damage as possible and buff your fronts defense, I think one of the generics gets that spell I just transferred it to Alice

I am pretty sure it's near impossible for your character to permanently die unless you willingly try to kill them. Even if they die, just revive them after a day so their meter is full and you most likely have a 0% chance of failing.

The funny thing is I walked into that big gobbo 3 small gobbo fight and got my shit rocked due to missing constantly. Ran away after losing 2 flames. From that screen, the Inheritance Count is basically the current/max level of the Skill you want to Inherit. You were able to select 3 Passive Divine Power Up because when you confirm it'll get you its Lv2 version right away. If you had 6 dupes you'd see 3/14 count.

There doesn't seem to be a hard cap on how many DIFFERENT skills a unit can inherit, so it's basically a (paying) leviathan's territory.

You can do it with just one mage, just make sure you have some anti-undead weapons and lots of the 55HP herbs then keep redoing the dungeon until you get to the boss without spending too much resource.

Then against boss have your mage on herb healing duty while everyone else focuses the boss. Only heal with priest if it's really necessary otherwise use his holy spell to do more damage. When he summons stuff use mage AoE spell to kill them quickly. There's also an armor break skill that debuffs defense that will help a lot if you have that.

My priest does fuck all damage with that spell, maybe her weapon is shit. I've got a mace on her because it occasionally procs stun which is useful while conserving MP.

This game actually reminds me of Danmachi a lot. Im really surprised with that whole isekai dungeon phase a few years ago there were never any real games with that theme. In a lot of ways this kusoge shows just how easy it would be if you can do basic animations and 3d graphics. A dungeon is a very mysterious setting, it's been really fun diving in.

I did do this. Basically you can stuff everything onto 1 character if you have the fodder. The limit listed is the max level that specific ability can go and has an increasing fodder cost each level. So one copy would be enough for level 1, but you'd need two for level 2 and the effect doesn't scale linearly as well(for stats at least). So an attack passive would give you 2 attack for the first copy, but you'd need two more copies just to push it to level 2 for another 1 attack (3 total).

I found it first after the scorpion lady boss, in the bottom part of the map, past the optional fight with 2 giganiggas (although it was on a subsequent run, not immediately after defeating them). And then another time on B3F, just before the stairs to B4F.

Well the team worked their way to these caverns everyone was looting. In it they found a portal to another world. Being Grimgar, they were lost and starving, unable to speak the language and barely surviving in a grim swamp inhabited by like insect people or some shit. They eventually find another cave and all get transported into yet another alternate world, which is where everything falls apart. The final 200 pages is basically the character walking around following a new storyline that isn't very relevant to what had been happening the whole time. Then space time JP bullshit and it all wraps up. Think the ending of shield hero LN.

Wizardry is the granddaddy of pretty much ALL isekai inspired dungeon crawlers. From the adventurer guild, to traveling inside dungeon floors. Everything was born from the Wizardry series. Directors like Mamuro Oshii would go on to say stuff like "all you need in life is Wizardry".
And in the genre itself? This particular game is already on the top of the genre because of the budget in it. Very, very few games get to have this much budget in them in this genre.

I think the issue with slimes is they have high pdef so 2Hers fuck them up while swords have both their smaller hits diminished by defense so badly it gets negated down to 1 dmg sometimes

Discipline is for general dupe consumption, not sure how good it is. T1 is underwhelming.
Merge is specifically for "alts" and right now Lana is the only one with it. It works quite differently and allows you to switch between the two costumes.
The whole thing is unforgivably poorly explained (and translated.)

a grand total of 410 gems
if all the event passes last the same and give out the same rewards (500 + 1 roll every two weeks) that's around 3640 gems + 2 rolls a month or a little over 20 rolls

I merged lana last night and it's like, you can just switch between the costumes, it's not a discipline level. So Im hoping that when I pull another Lana I can see the discipline on the costume. If not it's bugged. Hell maybe it's intentional that you have to get only costume dupes for costume disciplines they are being extremely Japanese.

and speaking of disciplines, does anyone have a clue how many copies u need to max? Right now they're only unlocking the first passive and that skill takes like 14 copies to max out.

red spinner woman. bring a bulky leveled frontline with lana, mc, and a fighter. put the level 1s in the back. kill her as much as you want on auto, 100 times gets the backline to about level 10. if you have trouble with her or the inevitable ambushes, upgrade your frontline even more. make sure one of the backline is a thief for chest drops. exp gain drops significantly if you rest and get to level 6.

reroll autist here, i optimized it down to 20 min. go to settings ASAP and enable the view all text at once option it makes dialogue instant. you go to the edge of town part of story, go back, then buy 17 special gacha bones from the alchemist (the ones for the alt costume princess)
you get 40 rolls in total

At least at low levels giving everybody daggers and medium shields is the way to go. There's no reason not to use a medium shield over a small shield besides your class not being allowed to equip one, they're strict upgrades in defense with no penalty, and daggers give +15 accuracy even at low levels which is fucking huge on top of several other bonuses; your warriors also have at least some Dexterity as well so the bonus from the weapon skill isn't wasted.

3 warriors with daggers and shields in the front and LARP as a roman phalanx with Scutum and Gladius. Then one person in your backline should be Debra with a bow because she can endlessly use precision strike as long as she gets the killing blow. Then add in a mage and healer.

I have a Yek that has her anti ambush skill at level 2 and this bitch almost NEVER prevents ambushes. I’ve gotten the “Yekaterina prevented ambush” message maybe twice over the course of two days, during which I have easily been ambushed 100+ times.
