Idk how it works if u gotta pay full price for new game or u have a 30 dollar upgrade option, but you do need the dlc to do the end game new stuff still, but anything before that and changes are available to you

hmm not even a 100k player peak? i guess i understand it's not the weekend but still, i didn't even here of it releasing today until yesterday.

Also I heard there was a bug allowing people who haven't played the game for 1+ year to transfer their old characters into fresh servers, can anyone confirm this?

Not even being some dicksucker but the timing of Asmong's ban could not have been worse for New World. I guarantee that they had this big thing for him to stream it and get the playerbase whipped up. Bezos needs to actually make the call on this shit.

did they actually change much with this update or is it more just a rebrand for consoles and to try and get more people back? i remember one of the betas being a lot of fun and then the next one they reworked combat and it kinda sucked and then it died super fast after launch with a million bugs so i never bought it..

I played 2k hours and stopped playing in 2022 but came back yesterday
They're slowly turning this game into a theme park like wow

These are the things I noticed just yesterday, I can't say much about crafting but looks like it's the same bare-bones system they always had. Idk about endgame pve content either, but at this point I don't even want to log in anymore to see it. They improved some things like the open world and other fluff, but sincerely this is such a disappointment.

The game was supposed to be a rust clone in the very early days, and they changed that to a mmorpg. That transition phase was the moment the game was in its best state. What a fucking wasted potential

So do mounts ruin the travel experience of the game? I liked the climbing/verticality aspect of traversing terrain when you're moving around in the world.

They made an already small world feels even smaller, in a game where the lack of things to do is the major problem this seems like a mistake. Also at launch teleportation was expensive so you had to be careful to not run out of azoth, nowadays it's basically free so after you get to all the teleport shrines you basically play an instanced game
