This is a big and obvious mistake to make as a raid leader. I don’t think he understood that the debuff expires and deals damage after like 10s either, hence why the green poison waves that go are an issue - they don’t do much damage, but they do damage when you’re walloped for most of your hp bar thus placement being important (eventually they switched to a better way with pools).
You don’t need to know every single detail of the fight but… come on man, there’s almost 30 people there, it’s not just your time. If you took on raid leading then know the damn fight, especially since it’s the last boss so it’s not like there’s that much effort to it. You can yolo council webs in p3 when you don’t understand how they work because it’s easy to get right, but when a single death wipes the raid on ansurek you just can’t be lazy about it if.

Amz is very useful when you KNOW half your raid is shit and just won’t use healthstones / hp pots / defensives / whatever and you have 5 debuff stacks. Not using it is just silly because it assumes the mechanic will be done correctly. Like yea, sure, you can do it wothoit but.. why? Is there a single reqson to NOT use a raid defensive when it makes it easier on everybody?

Blizzard is extremely reluctant to make a WoW 2 as people would view it as a kind of giving up or failure of WoW 1, not to mention they'd have to put time, work, and energy into porting over trillions (yes) of different characters for people to fucking play their main with all their goodies on.

I agree with that too. Any sort of boss mechanic that involves a group split where you require 20 other people to pay strict attention to or else it's a wipe is already overly complicated and unnecessarily difficult.

I think the problem is that heroic is overgeared so fucking fast these days that Blizz knows it'll just fall over after a few weeks. Look at the current state of Heroic where Brood often dies shortly after the first area is done, Court never gets to p3 and once you DO get to Queen P3 it's often possible to just zug her down before the 2nd ring goes off. The only real roadblock Blizzard can throw up is shitter tax mechanics.

If blizzard really hated addons they could stop them all being used in a hotfix, they even said they were going to switch from Lua to rust at one point but I guess they changed their mind.

you just start doing it. it's easier if you start spamming dungeons from level 10 so you get a feel for all your abilities but if you've already got a class at 80 just do a bunch of follower dungeons and then hop in normals > heroics > M0s.

Nah the game has actual issues. There are places which cause 50-80 fps drops for no good reason. It makes no sense that I can run all of palace smoothly but looking at broodtwister while Idle sends me to 20fpsland. There is also no sound logic to being able to chill right in front of the AH in dornogal no problem, and get the same stuff in the foregrounds.

Tested with no addons involved. There is a fuckup somewhere, not a terminal, gamebreaking fuckup, mind you, but a fuckup nonetheless.

Hard disagree and this is coming from a disc priest.
GB is harsh, very punishing, but largely fair. Pretty much everything is predictable and manageable.
Boralus, on the other hand, is filled with "oops aoe overlapped with a ranged auto ur ded xD" a rng based first boss, vomit inducing last boss and don't get me started on the monkey section.

By "pack" you mean "two guys"? What is getting pulled here?
There is a case for pulling more than one group here and skipping stuff later, but it just IS dangerous, fuckers here are either casters, big casters or the ogres that have to be kited.
Ideally you grab the couple to the left, LOS it to kill them safely, then kill the patrolling caster and that's it, there is no need for more. All of this is tank work though
