They know, but they just don't give a fuck. Banning a spam account takes less than a second and costs the spammers money. All it would take is a threshold of reports for some real person to take one glance at the messages spammed before a ban was handed out. They don't even want to do that.
Based on what I've learned from Path of Exile it's very probable that Blizzard gets a cut from the spammers to let them do their thing.
Aaron Ciccheli who at the time owned 7.5% of GGG also owned two RMT sites. Let that sink in and do the math.

just start on normal, skip base campaign is fine, need to do most of campaign to unlock end game stuff, the story quests give a lot of xp. finish off with helltides/strongholds and whatever else til you're strong enough to clear pit 20 and farm torment 1. there's better leveling methods for alts, but you won't unlock the full campaign skip without beating VoH once.

Poison is one thing. Poison damage over time is another thing. Some of the spiritborn skills have overlap tho just like barb bleed skills: skill does X damage but also X DOT.

I don't think I've even SEEN 100 ancestrals much less have ancestrals to spare for trash. On top of that, just learned that apparently if you salvage ancestrals with aspects, that aspect becomes locked and will NOT upgrade unless it comes from another ancestral. Meaning the plethora of other legendaries upon salvage won't affect these aspects that have been essentially bricked. It's not even a matter of "hurdur why do you want to be done with season in one week" but a matter of awful drop rates all around--even on torment 4, ancestrals are rare.
I think it's time to give this game a break until a MAJOR PATCH.

It's supposed to work off of maximum health, but it works off base health instead. So your base health is something like 400, but you have 15k health, so you do 500%x more damage instead of 33%x more damage.

You hate this phrase because you think it's rewarding sinking 100+ hours of play time in a game chasing rewards instead of playing for the sake of the game for being fun. And you should be rewarded for said time.
Redditors are telling you that your hate yourself that much, that you can't value your own time and don't see time is valuable to some degree and it makes you seethe.

I play Smite because I like 3rd person combat and I think the game is fun. I'm not chasing some reward for wasting the thousands of hours I put into that game. My time is respected because in the end I'm playing a game that I'm having fun and not crying that I need to put in 30 more hours hoping I get lucky so I can can get a power boost MAYBE so I can take on harder content that I'm otherwise walled out because I don't have enough stats.

Resists and armor are at a premium as you go through tiers. You can forgo resists on EVERY other item in exchange for 1 Tyraels Might, and get 5 more +hp spots and put skulls in your jewellery instead of Diamonds.

It's weird, I was doing a shrine event like my first day back, and saw enemies with a d2 style curse tooltip from their skill tree over their heads and I'd almost prefer that if that was an option. They had these icons over their heads before I even had access to curses so I'm sure it was some new mechanic I'm unaware of.

Idk how I feel about dark citadel. Ran it on T3 with 3 other people who were all doing quill volley, everyone else kept dying except for me who would then be stuck alone and inevitably die, so we had to restart boss fight idk how many times. One guy in the party had run citadel a couple times before, so he kind of knew the mechanics and explained it to us as we went along. It definitely isn't a thing to "carry" people though. I might be leery of underpowered people trying to group in T4 for it, because you just won't be able to finish it. It is a lot of time for "meh" rewards. Underwhelming cosmetics. I give citadel a 5/10. I'll run it if my friends want to, but otherwise I'm not going out of my way.

On that note why does the whole story in DIV overall feel so miserable? I get it it's diablo, but still, you'd think a small pat on the back would be in order. Killing Lilith had some resonance and felt okay, but VoH just added insult to injury. You kill "mephisto" and what? You don't get a feeling of achieving anything grand storywise. Overall, they went for "no hope" theme and dialed it up to 11 and I think the game suffers a little because of it. Not that it's important, but it's just my thinking. Thank you for reading my blog.

I've duped enough Obducite to masterwork all of my gear with triples. I can't believe anybody plays this pile of shit legitimately. There are gaping exploit and security holes bigger than the one on PezRadar all over this pile of crap. They have at least 10k hours of technical debt due to diversity hires and can never fix the game. I will continue to dupe mats and items every season. My dupe hasn't even been reported yet. Lorath should be the one to make the decision to capture Mephisto over Lilith, he should be the one who ran off alone with the stone (and was also far more likely to actually do that successfully), and he should be the one to barely resist Mephisto in the stone
The only reason any of these are Neyrelle is because old white man suffering gives bluehairs less gender euphoria than a mystery meat screaming woman

Mephisto was more present as a character than Lilith was in base D4 and even when he gets his own "expac" immediately after it's still not enough to resolve his plot at all.
How many expansions do you think this shit will take? They haven't even introduced Diablo or Baal and they're still breadcrumbing a big showdown with both of those characters. They're still teasing Lilith's return.
D3's entire plot was released within two years (2012 base 2014 Reaper). We're a year into D4's release and we have resolved literally zero major plotlines besides Lesser Evils getting introduced and pissed away like leveling Elites.
Even if next expansion we get rid of Mephisto AND set up Baal or Diablo, that's implying the story will only really move forward three expansions deep at a minimum.

the evade amination resets immediately, so the damage will decrease significantly. the evade+eagle spirit hall will still be a really good attack and makes enemies vulnerable. if you want to farm, you only need +1 evade charge and a sepazontec which you can get from obol dealers pretty easily

Every build in D4 has individual damage modifiers: on aspects, on uniques, on paragon boards, on glyphs, on class abilities, on skill tree passives, even sometimes on skill enhancements themselves. Poe has an additive damage bucket too which is irrelevant. Monsters in D4 also have resistance. I could go on.
Btw, you haven't posted an actual example of both damage calculations so that I and others can see that it is more "sophisticated" or "elegant" or "nuanced" or any other thing.

It seems the Diablo 4 expansion(?) that came out has Mesoamerican theming, is there any particularly interesting stuff that you anons think I might wanna check out, or you want me to break down in terms of what the actual cultural influences on it were?

I will say from the ads i've seen it seems a lot more influenced by pop culture misconceptions then any actual Mesoamerican things, but it could just be the stuff being marketed are the less authentic ones. Is there anyplace that has images of all of the new enemies, armor, bosses, areas, etc? (I've never played Diablo so I don't know how applicable that all is, honestly)

I'm probably not going to bother with hardcore with this one.
There's no real economy and it has level scaling. Literally the only thing that happens when you introduce permadeath to it is you get to go back to spamming basic skills after you lose whatever passives and gear you needed to spam the good stuff.

If you salvage an ancestral piece of gear with a low roll on an aspect it locks you out from being able to put a higher roll aspect from a non-ancestral in your codex.

Presumably this was because ancestrals were always supposed to have higher rolls than non-ancestrals so they hard coded it, but this is not the case.

If you salvaged ancient leggos with an aspect you need your account is bricked unless you find an ancestral with that particular aspect with a higher roll.

I started as Spiritborn and didn't like it. I had trouble powering up Quill Volley. I had the evade spec to where I was almost in T4 but I hated the playstyle, jamming E was annoying and I was staring at the minimap because of the screen flashes. I would die to ground effects more than any other spec I have played before.

Switched to Minion necro and much preferred the playstyle, I like the Ult that is an aoe drain and makes you really tanky. I am maxed out at pit60 and infernal horde T3. This build just feels kinda bad in the infernal horde.

I am now at the point where the best thing to do would be to beg on a discord to try to get into a boss lair farm, and I don't really wanna go through that. GG season6.

Why would you do that? Just open the party finder and make a boss lair group. You will have a party within a few minutes. I have been jamming boss lairs, got 5 mythics so far.

I am running shadow minions without any issue. My gear is sub-par and still wrecking shit. I use curses and affliction too, with the curse aura, and the auto cast corpse ring. I just press ult, walk around, and press it again before it's finished. Perma ult, perma curse, mendeln explodey shit smears all over the ground. It's great.

Currently playing a blood surge necro and planning on making a spiritborn later down the line. They nerfed paragon leveling speed and gearing significantly, might just stick to a single character this season.

The programmer has no clue how much damage anything ends up doing because they can't be bothered to trace through all the damage modifications that factor into the final damage.
The tester is a casual that plays through the campaign on normal and calls it a day, neither thinking nor caring about the game mechanics, probably not even having damage numbers displayed.

I was intending to use the channeled attack skill with the rune that gives you 20 every .3 seconds while standing still and wolves along with the aspect that increases attack speed / damage after autoing and the one that lowers damage taken by 20% after 5 auto attacks. In two days I have leveled two chars to 60, gotten paragon 182, completed the battlepass, gotten all season blessings, completed the season journey, and am now just messing around with challenges and trying to cobble together a build for when the nerf hits on Thursday.

If Blizzard's goal is to have Mephisto in human flesh, I find it difficult to find any other option than what they did to Eru. Like the ending shows, it's irony that Akarat's own people are what ended up betraying him. It's a good end of it all, but the keys to make it happen (Eru) is done so poorly along with Urivar's entire approach. The boss ladder is the only feasible way of farming mythics, Andariel and Duriel at the highest Torment level you can do. There is a low chance of mythics (I believe) for any of the bosses at Torment level but it must be extremely low. Getting a mythic in the wild is still extremely rare, but more common than at release since it's so trivial to get to max level now and at release you didn't even get the chance at a mythic drop until you were level 80/85? or some level that virtually no one was interested in grinding to.
If you have the expansion, you can also target craft a mythic by acquiring 2 resplendent sparks and getting a particular set of rare rune drops.

Yeah, if you don't have expansion you can make a random mythic. Btw, I should have mentioned that Andariel and Duriel drop rates are much better than at release. Last season it was about 1 in 30 or so for the tormented version so I expect at Torment 4 it should be about that. Some people even get multiple mythic drops in a single run so it can't be that low.
If you have boss materials saved up you could try the party finder to set up a rota and get some in no time at all I'm sure.

I have the expansion, but don't know where else to craft it? I can comfortably clear T3, almost T4 but it's slow, so I likely have work to do on my character. Just never bothered since I could do all the content.
