so i have been trying out every single ARPG on controller, yes im a masichist, and i have come to the conclusion that PoE1 not even PoE2 yes 1 has the best control scheme for controller, its better than grim dawn, its better than D2 resurrected (this shit is fucking terrible for controller) and the fact that they have updated it in PoE2 to be even better is so fucking comfy

D4 is designed for controller, and D3 plays better with it too.

The menus in PoE1 don’t translate well (it really should have a free cursor for the skill tree), and the flask button layout is awkward. It also makes the melee combat feel even more hideous since your hands expect it to have standards.

I’m sure PoE2 will be 100x better.

thats what really confused me about it, but maybe its because we are looking at it from a poe1 perspective and that the maps are from the campaign maybe the maps themselves in endgame are not in the campaign, who knows what is confusing even more about all this is Jonathan time and time again has been shitting on EA games and how little the content they put out and has said PoE2 was going to shit on all of them in terms of content and it was going to be a launch for the game so i dont know wtf they are doing now its a huge contradiction on their part and to then also want people to pay for essentially the fucking demo from 2 years back is a concept that pisses me off if im being totally honest,

now in saying all this i could be completely wrong and its fucking kino and campaign is there alongside all its endgame and the only shit that needs to be added is league mechanics from poe1 but tweaked for Poe2, just need to wait and see, they really cant afford to fuck up this launch

If you haven't already tried it out, d2r is pretty fun. You miss out on the massive community mods the original has, but just playing d2 with updated graphics and the QoL additions is pretty fun. There's only like one really huge d2r mod, and that's pretty solid so long as you avoid the barbarian.

I don't know about LE, but that wouldn't work in poe. diminishing returns from the skill tree and items are the reason endgame starts where it does. if ggg had the endgame start at level 40 or something, they couldn't use EA to gather meaningful balancing data.

The ridiculousness of it is divine comedy. Maximize powercreep while playing dumb so that people get burnt out and slowly manipulate the idea that
POE1 is nearing its end of life and everyone should move to POE2, it's successor

Now, if you paid a bit of attention to your surroundings... You might find yourself getting aggresively shovend "curated" content down your throat
These are the paid and created shills, you've seen them, people that never existed 1 year ago are now "the face" of Path of Exile, getting interviews,
going to test the new alphas, getting sponsorships from they.
All of it is being coordinated for the single purpose of manipulation and change of perception. Next you will start to see on different platforms people yapping
the idea of "oh yeah, i played poe for years but.. just... the game is just too power crept, feels like we need a fresh restart" and the other yapper agreeing with them.
Now that the beta has been delayed until the end of the year (spoiler, they will delay it more) it's pretty clear
that i was right from the beginning
And this is just the tip of the iceberg, there's only a few people that have been tracking the "oddities" over the years and are piecing the big puzzle together.
Fascinating to see the amount of coordinated effort and money that they put into shillin and changing the perception of retards

It's misleading to call these 3rd person camera console games like elden ring and dark souls action rpgs they belong in a different sub group. Top down arpgs like diablo and poe belong in a different category. Both game types and genres have different strengths. Main gameplay loop of souls games is literally dodge rolling and parrying. Poe on the other hand has got so much more mechanics going into it, it's not as simplified as souls games. Why in fucks name are we importing souls mechanics in a genre where the gameplay loops are hack n slash, itemization, skill allocation and boss farming? They even changed logging out of fights and added boss hp resets. These are mechanics to be found in souls games. If you die to a boss and go back in, boss HP resets. It's more of the same appeasing the crowd who wants more "skill checks" and they're making a mistake listening to these retards in my opinion.

They're souls games but they're also action games. You can also play as a caster, melee or hybrid and allocate different attributes fitting your style so that's a role you can choose to play which makes it a role playing game. In comparison mass effect has more in depth rpg elements than elden ring and it also has combat but it's widely referred to as a space opera or science fiction or rpg and not as an aprg. So I'm kinda agreeing that it's a marketing strategy to call these souls games arpgs. The rpg elements are quite lacking it's 80% hack n slash 20% rpg.

UEVR lets you tweak the camera to be anywhere and lock it to anything
You can lock it to the player position and play in first person
It also has full 6dof support injection so you can handle the weapons in first person

It’s possible to play the entire game like this, but it’s difficult because it wasn’t designed for this

Instead I just played it with regular camera but rendered in full VR 3D, where I could move my head to view the game render like a little moving diorama.

I wish more games had even surface level VR support like this. Playing PoE 2 in VR diorama mode would be amazing.

No. You're far better of buying triple implicit cards and turning them in, hoping you'll get something worth crafting on if you don't aim for rings specifically since that one is cheap to get.

Yeah, it’s a cool concept and what I’ve played of it has been nice. Valve played with it in DotA when Index came out, they made a DotA-side application that let you view games in VR, turning the whole game map into a 3D object that would actively play out the match, and you could stand and walk around and zoom into it and watch the game live like that. It was cool, but they dropped support for it quickly and never revisited the idea. You couldn’t play the game in that mode either, which seemed like a missed opportunity.

i think rolling should be a skill gem but one that cant be removed and as you level it up the roll speed gets quicker but also you can connect different support gems to it, for example cast on roll is a thing but this is on attack gems instead have this on the roll skill gem furthermore have a "convert to dash" support gem which changes rolls at level 20 to a dash in any direction which is quicker but doesnt iframe attacks

You packed your trash onto the pet, and it would ferry them to the shops in town and return. You could also command it to pick up gear instead of yourself. This. The vibes are incredible to be dungeoning and have your pet return with fresh potions and money. Mounts are chill for RP as you point out but it does imply a short-coming in gameplay (ie. the world is either so large it's full of empty space or you're allowed to mount passed trash mobs which you should be 1-shotting anyway and desiring the trash loot or PoE baubles from in some capacity)

Basically you build from your main tree and then have a handful of variable points. It appears to be more intended for diverting from one thing to another directly next to it. You don't have two completely independent trees you swap between.

It's quite alright, but considering at how slow they update it, who knows when they are going to finish it. It's a single player game right now but supposedly multiplayer in the future.
Overall the gameplay leans more to souls like than to a diablo like, but it scratches the poe itch somewhat.
I would recommend trying it out.

I don't see where your point is here. If you don't cap your resistances, the game can possibly one-shot you and you are a retard. If you have over-capped resistances, your gear might not fulfil the resistances alone, and you can use a bismuth flask to keep it up. Especially when it's effectively running all the time. The game boils down to how much defence and attack you can get on your gear and skill tree, effectively asking you to juggle both sides within your means. So what you advocate here is to not have your resistances capped, because of what ever reason. You sound utterly retarded at this point. Especially for running this hate campaign against someone having fulfilled over-capped resistances.
