>>498164774Well, they listened the people who was saying M+ are too easy and casual shouldn't be able to do a +10.
And now M+ is tuned to only please that 1%. Even SouzaTv (a wow e-sport streamer) said that in the actual meta, you can get the KSM and the mount pushing everything on +5 (maybe for him, but for the rest of us, we need to push all on +7), and that a +5 should be unable to do it as a casual player.
So in the end, Blizzard took a decision and reworked M+ for this expansion, making death punishing, bringing back old and annoying dungeons to the pool (like Mist of Tirna Scithe were thanks to the design flaw, you need a weak aura to solve the puzzle because the icons dissapear if you move far away from the totem, and the hollow icon sometimes appears as full icon thanks to the palette used in the mist who block the door), making a +2 the same as a +12 on old system (learning curve skyrocketed), staying with the toxic design that if someone miss an interrupt, the healer needs to cover that failure (more damage received to the party instead of punishing damage done by the party, I am sure with that small change, DPS will interrupt more, but now they left everything to be fixed by healing).
Finally, only the 1% is getting a good experience. Those groups use Discord and spent several hours weekly to do high keys. Meanwhile the casuals, who works 9 to 5 and have few hours daily to play, are stuck in a progression lader they can't climb anymore. They pleased the 1% and now only the 1% is getting a good experience. Wouldn't be a surprise that the M+ player numbers are dropping like a rock.
In my personal experience, I have received more and better items doing +8 Delves and Great Vault that farming the Grim Batol trinket for 2 weeks (spoiler: I am still farming it), and that is a symptom that something bad is happening here.
