I wish I could play this, the UI and camera in battles is so nauseating to me. The spinning circles between turns, the flashing red light everytime you enter the ability menu (every char, every turn basically), and the camera jumping all over the place (multiple times per ability) and i had to refund it. When its on sale ill probably be ok with sucking it up.

Why is the PS4 version better on the PS5 than the PS5 version? I know the development cycle of Fatlus games can be extremely long due to the length of the games, but they can at least put some priority into insuring that the games run well. In this game's case they are using an ancient engine from Catherine that can't even do proper culling or anti-aliasing. It started development in 2016. This was a unique case where they were kind of just fucked from the outset. P5 only runs well because the environments are pretty enclosed.

agility never does shit combat wise in SMT games and here it only affects turn order
luck is the best it has ever been, but that does not say much
STR and MAG will BOTH be needed to make the most of the MC ultimate archetype
endurance is what you want once you see you already deal enough damage for the most part

If your protag is in mage class, stunning or killing enemies in the overworld recovers 1 MP to the entire party. So respawning enemies by going to the akademia room and coming back to kill groups of low level enemies is an easy way to get back to max.

Just finished as much of the demo as I will be playing before release.
Game certainly feels like the most jrpg to come out in a while, but man is the story actually going anywhere?

I don't think it's very fun. An extra press turn in every enemy encounter is just annoying, and it breaks the enemy's own AI in stupid ways regarding setup or the extent to which you can get unlucky with what moves they choose to use or who they target.

And then you can just L3 reset and use a paralysis item on a boss to make it do nothing anyway.

I still have the issue that sound volume is really low. Can barely hear gallica commentary in combat.

yep fucked for me as well, no change from the demo. i can launch p3r and the sound effects from the ui alone are magnitudes louder than the main menu theme in metaphor; the main menu music in p3r rattles my goddamn brain, while metaphor's is what i get when i listen to the ost on youtube at like 15% volume.

i'll try EQing it but i guarantee i'll forget that i did so and blow my head off when trying to listen to something else.

MC's ultimate archetype is mixed STR and MAG, and all those options leave you with balanced STR and MAG (luck deducts from everything else, though, and agility has almost no effect on avoidance usually, so its utility is reduced to turn order mainly)
