Black Ops II sequel made by Treyarch using the Blops 6 engine. They've been working on the campaign on the side. It's not yet known if it will have a unique mp from Blops 6 yet or not. Zombies mode will essentially just be more maps tied into the same storyline that Blops 6 is continuing.
Then 2026 is IW's next CoD, followed presumably by Sledgehammer.

The TTK in BO6 is the same as in MWIII. The Jackal PDW performs exactly the same as any old overtuned seasonal content gun. These are nonissues. The real problem is the dogshit netcode.

I would assume that Rapid Fire doesn't actually modify the per-shot recoil. Rather, just the fact that your RoF is higher means your aim has less time to partially recenter between each shot, resulting in the larger recoil plot.
So I guess the logic would be that it's not a "con" because the actual "recoil stat" isn't being modified.

Tho I'm curious, do any other attachments have hidden downsides that we know of?

What the fuck happened to the standard dev cycle? How did it get so fucked up that we ended up with two MW games in a row and now two BO games in a row? Are Treyarch definitely developing both BO6 and BOII sequel? Because Sledgehammer had to step in and develop MWIII. Why does it seem like IW gets the free pass and is allowed a full uninterrupted 3 years to develop while Treyarch and Sledgehammer get thrown around?

I'm inclined to vote "phenomenal" because as a beta, this is by far the best one we have ever had. It also helps that the last 3 games were extremely underwhelming and this will easily be a step up from those and the best so far of the CoD HQ era.
That being said, I have some serious concerns that I'm not naive enough to expect to be all fixed by launch.

Ya confirmaron en el último blog de información sobre el sistema de búsqueda que no tienen pensado eliminarlo, así que habrá que aceptarlo aunque sea una jodida basura frustrante.

I think snipers in BO6 are perfectly balanced. There's a good amount of flinch and ADS shake that makes every shot challenging
Rechamber speed is a late game attachment which is good
Glint is necessary. You're a bad sniper if you can't catch someone who's looking at your glint.

The only bad thing about them is aim assist for controllers. BO3&4 had the right idea but cross play happened and they added aim assist back with Cold War.
Even Spratt hates aim assist for snipers and thinks it's too easy.

The thing that gets me about a lot of the criticism is that Zombies always had mundane settings. I agree that setting it during daytime and very recently after the outbreak makes it seem less spooky and devastated but the idea that every Zombies map needs to be some cosmic horror or post-apocalyptic setting is annoying. I also agree that the HUD not being unique to Zombies anymore helps make it feel more generic but that's just a cherry on top to me, the last thing I'm thinking of is a damn HUD but it'd be nice.

A lot of the complaints aside from the dogshit HUD elements and the look of the map are to do with how it doesn’t play like a classic zombies map. MP operators that can’t fully interact with the map in terms of dialogue and being able to bring in a strong loadout with full ammo just kills the experience. Granted this is a side map so maybe Terminus will offer a better classic experience. But they hyped up Liberty Falls with a cool intro cinematic only for it to go back to CW shit aimed at casual babbies that can’t into zombies and need the entire mode to cater to them so they can feel like winners

I don't hate classic zombies, Call Of The Dead and Moon are still my favorite maps to this day. But when I criticize BO3 and BO4 I specified the new maps that came with season pass not Zombies Chronicles. Zombies Chronicles is identical to the original maps with BO3's stench like the new futuristic weapons, gobblegums, and 3 hits to kill.
But that begs the question, why do you hate CW and soon to be released, BO6? aren't they following the same formula of older maps where the pack a punch is easy to obtain and the actual easter egg is hard to follow?

I dont hate CW, maps just felt underwhelming and rushed. Apart from the extremely annoying HUD and Weaver simping Maxis and basedjaking 24/7 on your ear, i hated operators, the maps were bland af and repetitive (all of them except Mauer der Toten were some top secret facilities), early rounds were way too easy, too many open spaces, shotguns, the grenade launcher and the M16 were pretty much WWs in their own right. The WWs have very little inspiration, the Chrysalax from Forsaken while an innovative idea is waaaaaay too overpowered, die maschine was just a nerfed thunder gun (the only variant worth anything is the electrobolt and itll be in Terminus apparently), firebase needs no comment.

On the good side: Mauer looks like an actual zombies map, Klaus is a meaningful addition, playing without the stupid flashlights in the dark in the early rounds is pure bliss. The demonic train was a great idea once again ruined by the overly cautious warning, we didn't have warnings for the giant robots. Same for the turrets and they don't even melt you anyway. The buildup to the final boss fight is tense and suspenseful. I love the 80s, space purple aesthetics of Forsaken but the boss fight is actually cringe and way too easy.

Outbreak is unironically the most promising experience on cold war, it has by far the best easter egg of the game, and one of the hardest ever (up there with Gorod Krovi), the collapsed version is neat, 3arch will drop the nuke with the rumored sequel in 2025 but they'll need to zombify the whole map to death and make an even more interesting story.

I was not cheating, the gun just works like that when it has those attachments and I got pretty lucky with my aim and with where and when they showed up—I only get the accurate hip fire while standing still or right after the slide cancel so the fact they jumped me so many times right at the end of a slide was great luck for me

I knew yellow guy would jump
me shortly after the first kill because he was pretty ruthless sweaty hunting down kills all game and had good reason to believe he could take me easily, since he's a much better player. That's why I stood there anxiously for a second waiting for him to jump out. I didn't know exactly where he'd come from but direct from the bomb site wasn't hard to imagine and I had to go that way no matter what so that's where I was looking when he did jump out. Luckily I didn't miss and was quick on the response because knowing that guy I was probably 1ms from death there

The last two were just luck that they happened to be right where I was looking as I ran futilely toward and away from the bomb. And neither was well-hidden nor quick to react so other than the fact that I didn't miss my shots I don't think there's anything unusual about those kills

only the kill on yellow guy really surprised me, that's one of my best flicks ever, and knowing their scary guy was dead gave me a lot of mental momentum to go challenge them on the site

and I still lost but it definitely didn't feel like losing

rpk build btw is conversion kit, scarlet laser, ftac ripper 56, brace LS and vt-7 spiritfire suppressor. try it

I'll be honest I do not get why everyone is desperate to get back to WaW/BO1/BO2 zombies. I went back and did a little grand tour of those modes. While it's certainly still fun, the entire time it feels like you're playing a challenge run where most of the time you don't feel strong at all. Meanwhile BO3/Cold War zombies actually feels fun. You feel powerful, You feel like a badass zombie killer the voice lines are telling you that you are. It just seems way more fun.

A few important things to note:

This is the main storyline. You do not have to play anything else to understand these games fully. In fact, even World at War is more of a "prologue" story that is almost entirely independent. One of the prominent ally NPCs is featured in it, but you literally don't need to play the game to understand Blops 1 and 2.
>Cold War, Black Ops 6
These games are new plotline taking place in the same universe. You do not need to play any other games to understand them. As far as Blops 1 and 2 are concerned, these games only exist to build the expanded universe, but they are first and foremost their own own thing.
>Black Ops III, Black Ops 4
These are similar to the previous two games I mentioned in that they are essentially their own storyline taking place in the same universe, only in this case far into the future. You don't need to play anything else to understand them. Black Ops 4 doesn't even have a campaign, although it DOES have a storyline via cutscenes you can just watch on YouTube.
>Zombies
Completely seperate storyline. Ironically it's the only storyline that is actually consistently ongoing across all the games in release order. It's significantly more complicated and most people that play the Zombies mode won't even know it exists.

tl;dr if you plan on playing the Blops 6 campaign and you want to be up to date, all you really need to do is play Cold War.

Raven is directing the campaign with Treyarch's oversight and using Treyarch's tools. The level maps are made by Raven, the story is (mostly) written by Raven, but all of the technology to create and produce those aspects are made in studio by Treyarch. For example, all of the motion capture for the cutscenes are done at Treyarch.
The multiplayer and Zombies are almost made entirely by Treyarch.
CoD 2025 isn't announced yet but every leak points to Treyarch doing it mostly on their own. No, it isn't a Sledgehammer game. They have already come out and said they won't do another short-cycle game after MWIII.

This is honestly one of my biggest problems with IW CoDs now. Zombies crossing over into this modern setting and actually being made canon is just fucking crazy to me. Treyarch zombies always worked because it had a unique cast and different story to it. And also was never set in the present. Now NuMW shows that Soap actually was running around killing zombies before MWII/III? With no semblance that this is an alternate reality or anything? It just feels fucking weird. The most insidious thing is the way they let you accrue some cod points over time and buy a skin without paying. This isn't for your benefit. This is so that the guy who drops $500 a year can claim, when challenged, that he bought his skin with cod points he saved up, he bought his battle pass with cod points he saved up, etc. If the only people wearing skins had to pay for them, you could make fun of anyone wearing a premium skin, call them a sucker, etc. In the current system almost everyone has a premium skin they saved points for, so there's no way to tell sensible people and wasteful faggots apart.

I liked both Miami and Miami Strike.

The only map I truly hated in Cold War was Checkpoint because I had problems with under the plane (especially in ranked). Felt like no matter what I did I was always getting fucked under the plane from all directions.

Well at some point I became ranked-focus so that's what drove me crazy. There was a hardpoint that was under the plane and I just got driven absolutely insane by it because I'd get shot in the back every time. Usually 2 seconds after I just got done checking my back-side and turned around.

Hell no OBJ modes added some flow, Checkmate was an absolute purge in TDM. Checkmate was an atrocious map but holding lanes on CW in general was piss easy for some reason anyway. Probably due to how weak assault rifles were.

Yes, albeit the project was a complete mess until Activision parachuted in Treyarch to oversee development at the 11th hour.
Raven and Treyarch seem to work best when they combine forces.

It’s weird to me because Zombies always seemed like a hit to me from the get go at WaW yet it took quite a few years before they really banked on it and Activision forced it to be shoved in every CoD game. And IW even got away from it until MWII for the most part. I know they tried Extinction in Ghosts but that was still different enough and they tried to put their own spin on it.

Glad we are finally getting a clean gold camo. The one in MW3 was fucking ugly. Diamonds & Dark Matter were pretty much a no-brainer inclusion. All real treyarch fans will love it. And now Dark Matter looks even better when firing it. Dark Spine is kinda meh. Don't really care about warzoom camos. Just played the last game I will ever play on CODM. Start of Deathmatch on Crossfire, I quickly set up at a hole in the wall and get a nice easy snipe right away on a dumb bitch hanging out of a window. COD claims I hit the wall (????) around me, hurting myself with the thermite round. The dumb bitch realizes I'm there after the flare of the thermite and snipes me.
It's an accumulation of things but that particular moment I just instantly quit the match and deleted the app for good. Not doing it.

It applies to all interiors without interior lighting in MW3. Scud had a closed interior without the sun coming through and it still looked bright

Base cod hq is basically 40 gb worth of skins. You can access the shop, even without any game installed, so they need the assets from mw2+mw3 to properly display all the skins. I can also access mw3, without it being installed, and see all operators, guns, skins. I just can't hit matchmake.
Then on top of that add like 30 gb for the blops 6 beta.

There's no way to reconnect to a ranked match (at least in the past entries) so yeah, when you get kicked out of the match the game just assumes you Alt-F4 and gives you leaver penalty + SR penalty
