Okay here's how their writing has worked over the years

At the start and up through Cataclysm it's essentially just Metzen and quest designers. Metzen would lay the groundwork and key points that had to be addresses and quest designers would actually write all the dialogue, characters, etc. and have some leeway in writing their own stories. Afrasiabi was also just a quest designer at this time.

Starting in MoP they started shifting towards putting together an actual story team separate from quest designers that ended up being headed by Kosak. Their purpose was solely to work on WoW's story because Metzen was busy with every other franchise Blizzard had. It was their job to give the quest designers more direction and tie the zone/patch storylines together more coherently.

They also decide to build a third team called the lore team, which was a select few people meant to fulfill Metzen's role of fact checking everything and making sure there were no conflicts with past material. However at this time their work was largely just asking Metzen about everything.

2016 hits and Metzen and Kosak both leave. There's no set in stone lead writer at this point and Afrasiabi and Danuser are essentially co-leads butting heads constantly. The quest designers are STILL the ones writing most of what you actually see in-game, but their communication from the story team is coming later and later than usual, and the lore team without Metzen is like a paper tiger that offers suggestions but ultimately can't overrule quest designers.

Afrasiabi gets booted and Danuser is now the narrative director. At this point the story team and quest team barely talk at all. The story team stops operating like a group of professionals trying to create a coherent story and becomes an echo chamber where everyone gasses up each other's ideas. These disparate plot points get handed to the quest designers who have to try to make sense of what they've been given, not knowing the full context of the random story points they've been given and not knowing that the story team will completely divert course the next patch.

What ends up happening is that the quest team essentially has to guess and make up their own story as to what's going on because the story team is secluded away so absent from the development process they spend most of the time rewriting ideas and going nowhere. That's because Danuser was stated to have tried okaying virtually any idea brought up and so the story becomes a bunch of random ideas that doesn't make much sense as a whole. The lore team is more of a suggestion at this point and is only there to help the quest team if asked.

Pet battle weekly is a bullshit event and should not exist. There should always be a dungeon event from mythic to whichever expac's timewalking as the primary events. The pvp events should be secondary and alternate between bgs and arena every week. And finally you can put pet battles and whatever other silliness you want on its own tertiary alternating event schedule.

I really want to like Monk. I actually kinda do while levelling. I have levelled many monks. But each time when I hit max lvl I drop it like the plague and never want to touch it again.
This time I decided to lvl Worg Monk. It's fun. Has a cool theme (claws as combat weapon). Levelled to 50-something with TW. Suddenly have a bug, when queueing my spec doesn't automatically change anymore (go back and forth between tank and healer). My group is already in combat before I can change spec. Have to "heal" as tank because they won't ever stand still.
Ehy does Blizzard hate Worgs and Monks? I have read several times that Monk is one of the most bugged classes since MoP, and Worgs have gotten nothing but piss this expac after years of neglect.

I can't think of an xpac that has more meaningless boring "literally who" patch antagonists other than maybe MoP, but that's because MoP had like 7 raids and they fucking had Lei Shen and Garrosh to balance things out.

I am not sure I have fun. I have comf, sorta, but instead of joyful anticipation I often feel fomo compulsion - Compulsion that wasn't there before. I play until I get what I want and my brain starts immediately looking for new things. I make every character with a backstory in mind, even if they never rp, and in order to fully express that backstory/theme I need mogs, which leads to fsrming/grinding old content. Since there's always mogs, there's always a grind, but when I take a step back I feel like the mogs don't give back the value I put into getting them. Now that I think about it basically want to create OCs but when I should learn to draw or sculpt in blender ot even just use the wowhead modelviewer I instead collect mogs. Nobody but me looks at my Characters ingame. The other players in dungeons, raids, bgs or arenas don't look at my mogs. Standing around in SW/Org is not actually plsying the game. I don't even want to make friends ingame - I treat it almost like a sp game. Why would I then even want recognition from the other players if they are only NPCs to me? I don't like the story, I don't like the community, I don't like most of the gameplay and the gameplay that I like should not cost me 15 bucks a month. And still I log in and look for things to do.

When Blizzard mentioned Hero Talents for the first time people actually got excited because they thought of bunch of cosmetic shit, that would allow them to make Necromancer, Dark Range, Shadow Hunter etc.
Instead Blizzard brough the bunch of miniscule shit sprinkled with one VFX fart.
Since then the more trees they revealed, the less excited people become. You can already see twitter and wow forums mob posting shit like 'Oh its getting more and more disappointing' and hating on most of shown talents.
Deservedly desu.
Cosmetics is arguably the best motivation to play the game for modern WoW community.
Its just a no fucking brainer to make Hero Talents pure cosmetic shit that change the look of different spells.
I sincerely believe Blizzard plainly refused to do it to cut the costs on VFX artists and animators. Fucking greedy bastards.

I use a Juggernaut build, usual rot is Overpower x2 --> Mortal Cleave --> Slam --> Repeat until I can spam Execute

I average like ~600k - ~1m damage in dungeons according to Details but it's nothing compared to the other ppl in the dungeon, I see ppl getting up to like 60m damage.

Am I retarded and missing something, or is this normal? It doesn't feel normal.
