>>521553271I actually really like this take for the most part. Particularly the "but what about me? what about my own battles?" as it's a very large hole in both Spear's advice, and Anon's development.
>>521553750The only issue with this is that I don't think it's the right idea to settle Greene in with the delinquents (i.e Amber's group) or call them his friends.
I don't think Ambers friends should be Greene's friends. At least not with Cynthia or Sera by default.
Sera and Greene is best when you play them as childhood friends (through amber) who simply grew apart through changes in personality and past-grievances.
I don't see any reason for why Greene should have a positive outlook on Cynthia in general, at least not before you make them all go through character arcs. She's a very abrasive and stressful person to deal with for most people. She'd be too much of a handful for "current" Greene with his low-energy/slothlike ideals and wants.
Maria should be a troublesome cousin who drags Greene into doing illegal shit and fights to try and "toughen" him up or to "snap" him out of his rut because she never really understood that Greene's has mental problems. If she wasn't family Greene would probably dislike her for similar reasons that he would dislike Cynthia.
All these combined, there's alot of good routes you can take with his character and how he deals with these issues he has with them.
Personally I think his MAIN friend group should be between Janet and Melissa.
With Janet being his "forest friend" and Melissa being his "school friend".
Two friends for his two sides.
