I hate hero worshipping in vidya and it's even worse with customizable cardboard cutout characters. If it's got all that it better be fucking fun to play and my idea of fun is the exact opposite of turn-based combat. I think my least favourite is cyberpunk 2077 fans hero worshipping v, who is the worst kind of blank slate - too defined by the story to truly customize, too loose to truly give a shit about. they always say shit like "v is BUILT DIFFERENT" and its just you doing standard action game shit. rpgcodex also had people saying that game was better written than kingdom come which, lol

I love cyberpunk universe and am pretty biased because I don't like d&d but I do agree V is the weakest part of the game. I would've rather they fully committed to making him/her a real character instead of half-assing it.

I love the cyberpunk TTRPG. I just think V is a weak character and Keanu's acting as Johnny was extremely sub par. I can tolerate Johnny not being a bowie lookalike if they *really* wanted to change his appearance, but changing it so he just looks like Keanu, who already wasn't a great actor, was pretty stupid

Agreed, including the dislike for D&D. I love C2077, but I wish V was a full-fledged character instead. I even like Silverhand; the path where you force him to gradually realize what a tryhard asshole he had been is pretty kino.
