Stupid question, but do you ever bother using his melee, or should you always be spamming M1? Sometimes I find it easier just to smack really small, slippery characters but my aim is also kind of shit.

yeah I'll go for 2 healers if I think I'll definitely be able to kill them
I try not to kamikaze ults into their backlines unless I have a good team that will actually follow-up, far too many games where I ult and my team just sits back and watches me pound the Luna before everything resumes like normal and i get insta-btfo'd being in the middle of the cluster

The idea that only sweats want balance patches is something pushed by actual retards yes. Obviously things like Luna being able to negate 99% of damage in the game for 12 seconds multiple times per round isn't good or fun for casuals either.

all the time. You can weave in melees after every m1 without losing much uptime on it. Just make sure youre not canceling the last few m1 bits when you do it and let it all go through. When you want to sustain you can even do M1 + melee + shield repeat.
Strange is all about finding a balance between tank pressure/ult charge farming and using the E charge you get from it to burst down a healer or dps.

I can bring up every other shooter that went to shit because it focused on esports shit rather than the main playerbase of casuals.
I've played the game for some 200 hours now and have not found anything even close to what you're talking about, because I don't play comp.

The average player isn't going to enjoy losing to triple support every time they play something other than it. Metas do find their way to unranked eventually. It just takes more than 2 fucking weeks or whatever.

The "esports shit" players do not fucking care if the meta is 3 support, 4 support or 0 support. They just play what's best. Can you try to understand this concept instead of having a stick up your ass over anyone who plays anything other than quickplay with bots and console players exclusively?

Yeah grinding his ult is why I thought to ask
I noticed one game where I had great support (really just support that wasn't dps larping with C&D+Sue) I was able to spam the fuck out of my ult and recharge it constantly because I could stay in the frontlines fighting alongside the dps and shielding
the problem is most games I can't rely on the off-tank (if we have one) or our dps to assist against their melee dps+thor, so i get stuck playing super defensively
doubly so if the healers aren't healing often and I have to keep my shield up 90% of the time to just survive
