I have this here tournament idea for our wait detectives.
The whole gimmick is based around having shitty waits and dealing in as fast as possible.
If you riichi a hand - you get points for how many tiles it took from your riichi discard to the moment someone dealt in with a bonus for hitting ryuukyoku.
Tsumo awards a fixed amount of points.
If you don't riichi, the counter resets every time you break the hand, change waits, or tedashi.
Now for those who want to GUESS THE WAIT, you have to deal in as quickly as possible, with points awarded for the minimal amount of discards it took you to do so, with a big bonus for dealing into ippatsu and multiple rons.
If there are multiple riichis they get no points for dealing into each other, and deal-in counters are separate for each individual riichi.
Maybe this was already done but I'm too lazy to look at the repo.

furiten riichi is fine, but if the hand can't even win by tsumo (karaten, furiten hadaka tanki) it doesn't count as "tenpai" and is not legible for point awards
