Anubia was the first to walk up the stairs (which is oddly in-character). I think the game actually had trouble calculating the paths because Renata and Hat Kid walked off to the side for some reason, taking a solid while to follow the pack.

I noticed she's the first one in wake up. The other girls seem to wake up an hour later. And Nobeta read a book to Renata before sleep. Small details like that make this mod wholesome.

Incorrect, the only thing that determines whether they all go to the sauna is having 5 hearts with Ashley (can't remember if actually watching the sauna event is necessary).

Yes we do whack ourselves with vihta/vasta, but Shino may not be a Finn, so such masochistic rituals may be lost on him.
As for Finnish little girls, none signifigant come to mind that would fit the Valley. No Finnish games with lolis.

One tangential one could be Little My from Moomins, as there was that one recent Moomin game starring Snufkin, but sauna doesn't come up like at all in any of the stories, from what I remember.

ya know, why didn't ape make the kids age in the vanilla game? kinda weird that to see them still being kids even in year 10. maybe give the other adult npcs streaks of white hair and wrinkles to show them aging too.

at least jas will be eligible then for marriage

Since Nexus bans age up mods I expect they'll be equally ick'd out by the game aging Jas up enough to be an adult.
Though I'm not sure Ape even considered that, probably just felt it wasn't worth the time investment and would have to make year 3 to 10 have more in them compared to now.

It's just how harvest moon works. Ape mentioned friends of mineral town and that game is infamous for the 50 years of marriage house required to unlock the item to see your current stamina. No one grows old in those 50 years. The kids are still kids, you and your wife are still young, granny doesn't die (in that version of the game). Rune factory does a time skip when you child is born so that they can be actual npcs, but still nothing change. The world could be about to end and you just skip forward 5 years. Even better in 5, it happens twice and your first child is still 5 years old on the second time skip.

Wonderful Life was the exception, even then the implementation was weird.
Granny death after year one (not unique in series). Children, including yours, and yourself are basically the only people who age.
Game ends with you dying of old age before all the other old people.
