Monk feels great specifically because of the changes they have made to the combat and movement in the game compared to PoE 1. I'm not using combat frenzy or resonance.

Armor class should let you push through mobs and heavy armor should give you a shoulder check dash instead of roll. Heavy armor lads shouldn't get shoved around by white mobs.

I firmly believe Warrior was the first class created.
It was the class the original game was balanced around. They created this, had a workable playtest, and had this idea for a more difficult, slower and more methodical game.
But... time constraints, constant setbacks, etc. etc. several years later and they ended up porting a lot of shit straight over from the first game.

Do you remember a lot of the people talking about their experience with Warrior in the first week? A lot of them had a very positive experience about it. They had thought it was fun, it interesting being some normal knight like guy fighting horrors. It wasn't until people started playing with other classes, videos started being posted of other classes, until people experience more with the game that that tone shifted from it being fun to it being complete trash. It's because people were able to see what actually good classes were, they were able to realize how incredibly gimped they were.
And now there is no putting the cat bag in the back. People have seen everything else and don't want to press Sunder with a 3 second animation to kill 3 white mobs.

Not sure about the shoulder charge but heavy armor making you immune to be pushed around and maybe you doing the pushing would be cool, that would also kinda justify the slower movespeed it gives you.

Hm... There are those level 1 Unique Boots that give you a flat 10% Block. This block can be scaled even without a shield. Obviously this is useless though as it has no movement speed on the boots. I wonder if there are other items or passives like that, then you could scale block independently of a shield.

Otherwise, just open your passive tree, ctrl f movement, then annoint whichever one gives you the highest movement speed.

New friend here, how do I kill GAYnor with my lvl 16 witch. I keep getting him to like 30% health on last phase and then he freezes me with some bullshit and kills me. Never played poe1 so I’m just going in blind but haven’t struggled much with the rest of the game to this point and my build has felt solid till now.
