NTA but I'm just annoyed with how lazy this legy spear is. The idea behind basing the spear lore on the Claw and his allies was pretty good, but there should have been a questline for it like with the gen 2 weapons. Only a handful of them do have a questline of course, but Klobjarne is the ONLY legendary weapon we're getting this expansion (and probably the last one we're getting for a while) and there's really no excuse to phone it in like that.
The skin is also dumb, instead of having six different looks there are just different tips, and they all look mostly the same with the exception of a trident and a fork.
All in all it's a pretty disappointing weapon, if the Mystical Beast had a bear instead of a rabbit it'd be a better kodan legy spear.

I believe and claim hereby, that they were planning for it to have an entire collection, just like you wanted it to, but decided against that at the last moment for whatever reason, I have 3 pieces of evidence. The first one is pic related. This 'achievement' has actual unique dialogue attached on 2 out of 3 steps, reason being because this is technically a collection, except that it's a very, very short one.
The second piece of evidence is the category it came with. If there never was an intention to make a spear collection? Why bother making an entire achievement category with several achievements that factor into building the spear including one of those SotO era 'recipe' categories? If they wanted to keep it as basic as they made it, they could have handled it like any of the original gen-2 legendaries and just had one or two npcs offering recipes either in lowland shore or LA.

But this is where the third piece of evidence comes into play: The 'Side Stories' category under 'Janthir Wilds'. They already made a whole bunch of questline collections just like the one you'd think 'Journey of the Claw' would be. It wasn't too scary or too much effort to do then, why is it now?

I think, based on the above, that they did make a collection and then scrapped it for whatever reason and the 3-step 'Journey of the Claw' collection is the hole it left behind. That just makes me more curious. What was in that collection that made it so unsalvageable that they had to erase the entire thing? I have a suspicion but it's only a guess. The Claw that the collection is about, is that the same one that Waiting Sorrow ran away from?

There's no point in playing along with your larp, so I'll skip past that. I've seen the threads you people make complaining about how expensive the spear is, it's nowhere near as pricy to make as you make it out to be. At an early point in the expansion, it was a little less than a gen3 and it's a lot less now that some of the materials have dropped in price. I'm sure if you sat down and accumulated the materials, you could get it as well.

You have to let the poorfag cope go. Just get down to assembling it, make all the components yourself if you have to. You can get all the shards solo in 5 weeks. If you buy up all the gemstones at the right time you can save a lot of money there, if you max out your refining station and just cap out on using t5 materials, that's almost all the homestead materials done, trophies shouldn't be an issue if you got scavenging protocols, all the janthir materials can be gathered in the overworld, it only takes as many essences as one armor piece, it's perfectly doable if you just sit down and do it.

You are transparent as fuck. No amount of reeing at other people for having legendaries is going to fix your issue. You're trying to rationalize how the spear is ugly anyway so you totally don't want it, probably because the day-1 shard price scared you off. They dropped to less than 2 gold now, you can have a legendary too, but you actually have to build it yourself and malding about sparkle effects isn't going to make any progress towards that.

I see you don't have any legendary trinkets and don't know which effects to look for, otherwise you wouldn't post blunders like this.
So those bright blue orbs circling around the black orb are what you get when all 3 pve trinkets are turned on.
The large blue orb with a castle inside is from Conflux, the wvw ring.
The armor is envoy armor, legendary armor that's gated behind raids. That one's not for you though, you might want to stick with making obsidian armor instead.

It would be the first time it happens, is what he's saying. All legendary trinkets including backpacks up to this point were account bound. If you wanted one, you had to assemble it yourself. The purpose of legendary weapons being tradable is to bait people into swiping for them. Them expanding that to trinkets would be a sign of desperation.
