OMEGA STRIKERS CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

There is no easy way to say this, but regretfully, we will be discontinuing our service for Omega Strikers, with the final day of the game’s life to be December 31. Deciding to close the game is not a decision we come to lightly, but ultimately it came down to a matter of business—we explored several options, but none of them were sustainable. We truly believe that Omega Strikers is special, and offered a lot of new ideas to change up the MOBA genre with sport elements, but in trying to carve out a niche for itself, we failed to connect with players.

For the remainder of the game’s service, we’re going to do everything we can to honor the community and show thanks for your support. We know this news is difficult to hear for remaining players—trust that we are as heartbroken as you are that we have to say goodbye to it. To that end, in recognition of all of you who love playing the game, here are our plans from now until the servers close

All players will receive unlimited currencies to unlock all content

Real money purchases on the Omega Strikers Store will be permanently disabled

All game modes will be turned on, and available at all times

We are truly grateful for the community that grew around Omega Strikers, and for your support of the game. We saw Omega Strikers as a challenge to the status quo—a change-up of mechanics that would revitalize the MOBA genre and attract players who wanted to test the upper limits of their skills—but in the end, it wasn’t enough to take on the established strikers. It truly is awe-inspiring to have been a part of the community’s creativity and passion—the art, videos, and guides, the emergent gameplay and meta as new Strikers were introduced, the high-level online competitions, and more—truly, thank you.

We again want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Omega Strikers community, and hope you all can enjoy the remaining time with the game. We’ll be continuing to provide updates on the Discord, X, and Facebook until December 31.

Yes, exactly. I'd much rather play with someone who's bad at the game than someone who is good but a dickhead, which is exactly why I don't like playing with certain people as I said in the last thread. I imagine this means you're probably one of those people since you don't understand that. Since you're bringing shit talk here allow me to return it: omegasinparis, you are nowhere near as good as you think you are, you constantly overlap with the goalie, you absolutely suck at Juno, and it's a blessing that I've seen you actually using other characters recently because with them you suck considerably less. You spam PASS or HELP the instant anyone does anything you don't like yet have no awareness of your own fuckups and how your teammates aren't as strict with you. You are easily the person I hate playing with the most precisely because you overrate yourself. Gyatso might share your temperament but at least he has the skill to back it up and I can't fault him for anything other than perhaps expecting too much of lower-ranked players, if I give him the leeway of assuming that he isn't in the habit of throwing matches out of spite.

Meanwhile there's a certain group of players on OCE who I love playing with, win or lose, because they're actually fun to play with or against and don't treat a single mistake like an unforgivable sin. Orangeandblack, Et4an, Mihairu, SpiderMommy, Dawnglade, slug, bigthirsty, jike, Bazzible, you guys are all cool. Fierceknight, I hated playing with you before but you've been clearly improving over time, keep it up. Anyone else I am at worst neutral towards overall.

Feel free to take that back to your Discord, along with the complaint about the unbalanced matchmaking being shit (and the main problem). By the way, since you Discord lot probably don't get this; any time I'm fucking up as bad as the people I do complain about I expect people to criticise me for it too. It naturally goes both ways.

I have figured it out. I know what this emote is for. It's an anti-tilt mechanism. It's so cute you can't help but feel better looking at it. If someone fucks up you use this and suddenly it all just seems so quaint. This is the best emote they've added to the game. It is applicable in any situation and improves morale immeasurably.
