i wound up taking two years to finish bayonetta but it happened
good game, silly game, really made me sweaty each time i played it for some reason
don't think action games are quite the genre for me, almost every episode i got stone tier rankings
i can't solely blame taking like 6 months between sessions for how badly i played though, don't think it really clicked till the attempts of the last few episodes in the last month, maybe playing sekiro last year made me better at the idea of defense in these kinds of things being a timing thing rather than a "wait why don't i just avoid the attack entirely, that's safer, right??" situation all the time
was glad how forgiving it was where some bosses had multi stage lifebars and the deaths only resetting ot like 2 of 3 remaining
was good when it forced you to deal with doing the whole thing sometimes too though
all seemed pretty well crafted, looked nice for previous gen too, bit brown and bloomy but still nice art direction and all that
qtes got me a lot, but since i was already doing poorly most of the time, another cutscene death was usually comic relief instead of frustration
really kind of tough to do a long block of text like i do with other games about it
was a pretty standard gamey game, i enjoyed enough
