>>290886>the idea of buying an upcoming game that hardly interest you just because you're not playing any game at that moment and you don't want to play older releases is just fucking retardedFirst of all I don't buy games that hardly interest me. I either want to play a game or I don't. And I'm not buying any game because I don't want to play older games. In facts it's the opposite. I'm not playing older games because there are so many games coming out that I don't want to dive too deep in to my backlog. You've said that watching anime as it airs is better so I'm sure you can understand why playing a game as it releases is better. I think it's cute that you care so much about bargains like some old lady collecting coupons but I don't really have anything else to spend my money on besides video games.
>Everything else is sucky in those games, especially the controls and gameplayI can agree with that to some extent. The combat is pretty subpar usually. But that is not the only gameplay element. Furthermore the gunplay has been improved in every installment. At first I thought The Outer Worlds was just a straight up FPS. And sure you can criticize the combat and the bugs and the bad animations but you kind of glossed over the main reason people play those games in the first place. You can effortlessly spend hundreds of hours being immersed exploring a vast open world that's brimming with detail and depth and life and mystery and adventure! Every game has its flaws. But not every game has that...
not even The Outer Worlds since it's a lot smaller budget than your average bethesda-like. But what it lacks in playtime it's poised to make up with player choice! So I'm excited to see that.
