>>264307Well I can definitely understand that sentiment. But I can't agree with it. Ultimately there has to be technological progress along with creative progress. But that's just my opinion.
>Name some of them please, I'm curious about what you like. Well if you want to know what I like I just posted my top 12 the other day here
>>240478 but it was really hard to even narrow it down to 12 so I don't know if I can really express all the different kinds of games that I like.
But specifically when it comes to indie games? I actually like quite a few. Off the top of my head...
Super Meat Boy I think in a lot of ways is the best platformer of all time (as you can see in my top 12 not necessarily).
I know it's a meme at this point but I really enjoyed Undertale. It had some glaring weaknesses but as a whole package it's just a really cool vision from one artist. The music is just great too.
I wonder if Shadow Complex counts... well I don't really know but it's honestly one of my favorite metroidvanias.
I mean there are just a lot of cool platformers with great music that came out in the last decade like Splosion Man and Fez and Limbo and Inside and Braid and Spelunky...
I didn't really like Cave Story... I know it's Japanese but... gomen. I've never really known how to actually get a touhou game to work even though I've wanted to try them a bunch of times... Not sure if I've actually played any other Japanese indie games but maybe I have.
