Trying to find out what genre God Hand was and apparently Dead Rising is a 3D beat em up. I never really knew what genre to call it but I guess it makes sense. Looking at gameplay though God Hand seems to play a lot like the games that Platinum Games are known for though. Although looking at the 3D beat em up list even the Devil May Cry series is included. I guess because of the glove weapons. Those are always my favorite. Even Viewtiful Joe is included. I could have sworn that game was 2D. Strangely there's not really a distinction between 3D hack n slash and 2D hack n slash on wikipedia for some reason.
