Today I've beaten the obtuse spider.
He killed me 3-4 times even though I summoned TWO NPCs every time (first encounter I only had the cage man).
Then I understood that all I had to do was kill all the baby spiders after the insectoid teleported to make him (her?) stop doing ice attacks.
What a waste of insight.
