>>809That's true, for sure. Small communities really are the best. Playing devil's advocate is also fun, as long as it doesn't devolve into /b/-tier "trolling."
Would you ever want to develop it to that point?
Ah, yeah, same. I couldn't do it.
I've gotten somewhat lucky with how things worked out. I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, and I've always been very close to my grandparents. They have a great, fairly large woodland property, fully-paid for, and with two houses on it that they built. I'm living in the one they aren't living in, and I help them out if they need it, since they're getting older. They've always been my best friends, you know, and I don't want to see them go to any nursing home, that's for damn sure. I have a pretty low end job, but I still pay my bills and give some rent money for them. I'm pretty content with how it is. They keep wanting me to go to college and have since I graduated, but I'd really rather not. I'm wanting to get into gardening more since there's plenty of room for it. I just don't know where to start. I already hunt and fish some, and I want to kind of live off my own means more, if that makes sense.
Sorry for the massive blog
