A Plague Tale: Innocence
Has extremely good art design and vibes.
But is kind of just a decently okayish sneaks puzzler apart from the extremely good style. Apart from a few bigger more open scenes, it's very much just going down a corridor and figuring out the exact sequence of actions the developers wanted you to take, or dying instantly.
And the plop involves a fair bit of getting caught in cutscenes when the character you were just playing as forgets all their abilities and somehow bumbles their way into a cage. Not really replayable or anything either because of the fair amount of forced walking scenes where the game wants to talk at you.
But the
styyyle and the plop going wild with the facts-based reality of alchemy and the occult is extremely good.
And slings are cool. Throwing all kinds of neat harmful stuff with a sling is a criminally underrepresented genre of projectile-based violence funtime in the videos jame.
