I'm just saying that because of it's unwarranted popularity it set things in motion to where now we have at the very least 2 isekai going every single season.
>What do you mean?I think that a lot of these shows were only green-lit because of the fleeting similarities with the new hotness. It quickly became not about video games but about being transported to a fantasy land. At that point you can just cut out the transportation and you have the same framework. Again I'm obviously not saying SAO invented the fantasy genre but through a sequence of events it allowed it to join the forefront of popularity along with isekai.
