I probably would've ended up using it that way if I weren't a social reject, so it's probably a good thing that I am. But you know, most people consider that kind of stuff "boring" or useless to everyday life. While not all subjects interest me either, I'm always happy to learn more about something, so as to expand my knowledge on the subject. You never know when it could make itself useful, which is why it's good to learn as much as you can.
Good point. I guess technology advances when there's a real demand/market for it.
